“Hi, my name is [XXX] , my vehicle VIN [XXX] . I want to report a life-threatening situation that just occurred in our new 2026 Toyota Camry which was purchased [XXX] this year. On ([XXX]) evening @ [XXX] while driving on [XXX] North towards Cumming, the passenger side back tire suddenly dislodged itself from the rim and went flying across the highway. Because of this, I found myself in a state of immense panic, seeing the car tilt on one side, scraping away the smooth rim and ruining part of the back of the car and the undercarriage. Could have caused severe damage to my health and others on the highway, luckily truck driver blocked the lanes for me. We understand that manufacturing companies can have slight mishaps at times, but the severity of this issue could permanently compromise our safety. Although we hoped for almost no issues for the next few years, witnessing the quick detachment of the tire was the last thing we could ever expected. We also have teenager drivers at home, who rely on this car for simple transportation and our goal is to ensure they drive this car with confidence, but this incident has got rid of our peace of mind. I am reporting a potential safety defect involving the front driver and passenger seatbacks on my 2026 Toyota Camry XSE Hybrid. Vehicle: 2026 Toyota Camry XSE Hybrid VIN: [XXX] Mileage: approximately 5,200 miles I first noticed the problem approximately two weeks ago. Both the driver and front passenger seatbacks have noticeable popping/clicking noises and feel loose. The condition occurs when leaning back against the seatback, accelerating, braking, turning, and when getting into or out of the vehicle. The seatbacks feel as though there is excessive movement or play in the seatback mechanism. The popping/clicking occurs during normal use and normal driving conditions. I am concerned that the looseness and abnormal movement of both front seatbacks could indicate a defect involving the seatback reclining/locking mechanism, seat structure, mounting, or another component that could affect occupant protection in a crash. I took the vehicle to Toyota of Plano on September 5, 2026, to have the issue inspected. I reported the condition to the dealership. I was told that there is currently no repair available for the problem. I am reporting this issue to NHTSA because the problem affects both front seating positions and involves abnormal looseness and movement of the seatbacks. I believe this condition should be investigated to determine whether it represents a safety-related defect that may affect other 2026 Toyota Camry vehicles. I have documentation from the Toyota dealership visit and can provide repair-order information, photographs, video, or other documentation demonstrating the seatback movement and popping/clicking. I request that NHTSA document this complaint and evaluate whether this condition represents a potential safety defect or a developing defect trend involving the 2026 Toyota Camry. As I was driving in stop and go traffic last night, my panoramic sunroof spontaneously exploded. Nothing fell on it, so when I say it "spontaneously" exploded, that's an accurate statement. It literally sounded like a gunshot. The cover was closed, so I was fortunate that no glass fell onto us (there were 4 adults in the vehicle at the time). I have only had this vehicle for 4 months. I dropped it off at Toyota of Temecula, CA this morning and I'm waiting to hear next steps.

What system failed: The car accelerated on its own. It is available for inspection. I had pulled into a surface parking space creeping very slowly with about 4 feet before the concrete parking block at the front of the space. My foot was between the gas pedal and brake or was just barely touching the brake pedal when the car accelerated. The car jumped the parking block and was crossing a 3 foot planter area when I stepped on the brake, stopped the car and turned the engine off. Risk of Safety: I could have injured others or objects in front of the car or injured myself if I was unable to stop the car. Problem confirmed or reproduced by the dealer? unknown The vehicle has not been inspected. There were no warnings or symptoms of the problem before it happened that I noticed.

Everyone’s safety is at risk because these monitors are failing, and they aren’t doing anything about it. I asked for a loaner I don’t feel safe driving my brand new car. The last recall was a Risk of fire. So they got me a loaner, this one is only risking a crash so they don’t feel responsible. This cant be legal for them to make me drive around a car that may lose its hazards blinkers and speedometer at any time.especially since my other monitor is already working intermittently. I have zero faith in this car, and Toyota is refusing to prevent accidents by selling working vehicles, or providing a working vehicle until it is ready.

While driving my 2026 Toyota Camry LE Hybrid at approximately 10 mph in a parking lot, the vehicle accelerated on its own without any input from me. I applied hard braking to bring the vehicle under control. No collision occurred. The specific component or system that failed is UNKNOWN — I suspect the speed control, powertrain, or electrical throttle system, but this has not yet been diagnosed. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. My safety and the safety of others were put at risk because the vehicle accelerated unexpectedly at low speed in a parking lot, an environment with pedestrians, parked vehicles, and other close-proximity hazards. I had to brake hard to stop it, which could have resulted in a collision with another vehicle, a pedestrian, or a fixed object had I not been able to react in time. The problem has not yet been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer. I reported the incident to Toyota the day after it occurred; Toyota opened case number 260811002989 and scheduled a diagnostic inspection appointment. As of this filing, that inspection has not yet taken place. There were no warning lamps, messages, or other symptoms before or during the incident. The dashboard showed no malfunction indicators at any point.

This is the only way I can get my message to you that I know of. It is very distracting having to deal with all the ADAS systems. They are actually a distraction for me, taking my eyes off the road when I most need them on the road to figure out why the "nanny" alarms are going off. I don't know why these things are being added to vehicles, but we have to turn them off as much as we can. If I get in an accident, it will be because of these features not because I am not paying attention to the road. Thank you for letting me share my perspective. While washing my car, I noticed that the clips securing the front bumper—specifically on the right side, beneath the headlight—had come loose. I took the car to the Toyota service center on Monday, June 22nd. They inspected the bumper and found no signs of scraping or impact, so they agreed to repair it under warranty. I picked up the car that evening, and the bumper appeared to be fixed; however, when I got home and checked again, the clips had popped out once more. I returned to the service center and pointed out that the repair hadn't held. They took photos and said they would report the issue to Toyota. They got back to me during the week and scheduled an appointment for Monday, July 6th. I dropped the car off on that Monday, and on Thursday, I received a message stating the repairs were complete. I picked up the car Thursday evening, and the bumper looked fine. On Saturday, I inspected the bumper again; this time, the clips on the left side—under the headlight—had come loose. I reported the issue to the Toyota service center on Monday, and they promised to fix it as soon as possible. I am still waiting; it has been five weeks. I am completely dissatisfied with this car. I am lodging this complaint because, after researching online, I discovered that such problems are very common with the front bumpers of the 2026 Toyota Camry. Thank you.

What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? The front seat assemblies in my 2026 Toyota Camry XSE have developed an abnormal creaking/popping movement and noise during normal use. The issue appears to involve the seat structure, frame, mounting mechanism, or related components underneath the front seats. The vehicle and affected seat components are available for inspection upon request. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? My concern is that the abnormal popping/creaking and movement may indicate looseness or another problem within the seat structure or mounting system. Because the seat is an occupant-restraint-related component and is designed to remain securely positioned during normal driving and a collision, I am concerned about whether the seat would perform as intended in an emergency or crash. I have not experienced a crash or injury related to this issue. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? Yes. I brought the vehicle to an authorized Toyota dealership for evaluation of the front-seat creaking/popping concern. The dealership was able to evaluate the concern and advised me that they were seeking authorization from Toyota regarding repair of the seats. I was subsequently asked to pick up the vehicle while they waited for Toyota's decision/authorization on how to proceed. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? The vehicle has been inspected/evaluated by an authorized Toyota dealership regarding the seat concern. To my knowledge, the vehicle itself has not been physically inspected by Toyota corporate/manufacturer representatives, police, or insurance representatives. The dealership has communicated with Toyota regarding authorization for the repair. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they

Driver seat feels like something is loose in the back and is popping randomly almost like somebody’s kicking you in the back. It can be very distracting while driving. This happened on the 2026LE I had that I turned in because of that problem. I’ve had it seen several times by the dealership for this issue and there’s no solution. There’s also an issue with the wiper blades going extremely too slow for rain, especially in South Florida with weather that includes torrential downpour. You cannot safely see even at full speed wiper. This may seem like a time in which you should just pull over, but I was born and raised driving in South Florida in the rain and I’ve had multiple vehicles that I’ve never had this issue before. Electronic system can be fidgety. The rear cross traffic warning stopped working. I was not aware and did not realize I had somebody in close proximity that could happen accidentally hit.

On [XXX], I purchased a brand-new vehicle 2026 Toyota Camry hybrid from Post Oak Toyota (located at 5800 Tinker Diagonal, Midwest City, OK 73110). The dealership delivered this vehicle to me with an open, active safety recall that had not been fixed. We discovered the recall June 20 2026 after setting up the new Toyota app. The dealership violated federal safety regulations by finalizing the sale and delivering a brand-new vehicle with an unaddressed factory safety recall. I was placed at unnecessary risk during the week and a half I operated the vehicle. Furthermore, I have been deprived of the use of my brand-new vehicle for the vast majority of my ownership period because the dealer sold a product they could not legally or safely allow me to keep driving. I am requesting that the NHTSA investigate this dealership non-compliance and delivery violation. the specific recall involves an improperly torqued bolt inside the inverter, which can cause sudden power loss or an increased risk of fire when the vehicle is running. the vehicle has been in the outside lot from July 3rd 2026 to present day so a total of 13 days. Incident Date: Sunday, [XXX] Incident Time: [XXX] Police Report Number: [XXX] Vehicle Information: Make: Toyota Model: Camry Year: 2028 VIN: [XXX] On Sunday, [XXX], at approximately [XXX], I operated the subject vehicle (2028 Toyota Camry, VIN: [XXX]) for an approximate distance of three to five meters along my residential driveway. My intention was to proceed forward briefly, then shift into reverse to continue my planned route. Upon releasing my foot from the accelerator pedal in preparation for this maneuver, the vehicle unexpectedly and rapidly accelerated without any input from me. The rate and intensity of acceleration was unprecedented in my experience operating motor vehicles. I immediately applied pressure to the brake pedal in an attempt to stop the vehicle; however, the braking system was unresponsive and failed to slow or halt the vehicle's forward motion. - 07/01/2026· VISIBILITY/WIPER
At certain times of the day ,the windshield becomes milky with feathery, spotted pattern obscuring my visibility while driving. At first, we thought it needed a proper cleaning. We now realize we have a defective windshield. It is called windshield delamination. The car was brought to Toyota of Coconut Creek. The service advisor, Wilford Charles was provided photo documentation of the windshield. If you put on the defogger or drive with windows up the spotting will disappear in about 5 minutes. The service advisor said they would NOT honor the windshield replacement unless they physically saw the incident happening. Then it would be 2 weeks until Toyota would come to inspect to say if they would honor the warranty and replace the windshield. Toyota is forcing me to have to pay for a new windshield and denying it is defective. Please advise. Thank you.

Un-Intended Accelerations, the accelerator pedals either stocked, jammed in the Carpet, Triggered Un-Intended Acceleration due to Safety Use cases not designed correctly Once Triggered the un-intended acceleration the brake system is not working •Make: Toyota •Model: Camry •Year: 2026 •VIN: [XXX] On Sunday, [XXX], at approximately [XXX], I operated the subject vehicle (2028 Toyota Camry, VIN: [XXX]) for an approximate distance of three to five meters along my residential driveway.
