  • 12/26/2025· SERVICE BRAKES,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE

Emergency braking occurs at random, even if I'm the only vehicle / object on the roadway. This has been ongoing and has been to the dealership three times. It starts back up each time the vehicle gets an update. Adaptive cruise will brake hard due to false emergency braking, but does not always stop accelerating at the set point (has gone as high as 20 mph over the set point previously and brakes would not respond during). Vehicle was not starting and "press brake to start" warning was showing even though brake pedal was pressed. Brake master cylinder had to be replaced along with brake module. When picking the vehicle up afterward, warning light came while vehicle was warming up "service brake assist" and then shortly after the yellow-circled ABS dashlight came on. Dealership said this was a new problem and separate from the brake master cylinder and brake module.

  • 12/22/2025· STRUCTURE

The cap to the antennae flew off the car. This could have potentially impacted a car driving behind me, a car passing me, and/or hit a pedestrian walking. There was no warning. The part has since been replaced however the dealer indicated other vehicles are having this issue.

  • 12/22/2025· ELECTRICAL SYSTEM

All connected services do not work. The car cannot receive any updates to software/hardware posing potential safety issues. There was no warning. They all just stopped working. The vehicle was brought to the dealer in the beginning of October 2025 and I still do not have a fix or solution or potential timeline.

  • 12/18/2025· SERVICE BRAKES,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE

2025 Traverse ABS brake system failed, and master cylinder broke at 12K. All of the safety features, Lane Departure, Forward Crash detection, blind spot, automatic braking system all stop working with no signs that it was failing! Extremely unsafe! Traverse are meant to be family vehicles, well with major functions failures this kind of problem is going be recipe for disaster if not recalled ASAP.

  • 12/18/2025· ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,SERVICE BRAKES,VISIBILITY/WIPER

Beginning in May 2025, my 2025 Chevrolet Traverse began exhibiting a false “rear liftgate open” condition when the liftgate is fully closed. This defect triggers a continuous audible alarm that occurs before every drive and persists for the entire duration of the drive, stopping only when the vehicle is turned off. As a result of this defect, the rear windshield wiper and washer are disabled, eliminating rear visibility during rain and snow. The vehicle alarm system also cannot be armed, creating a security risk. The continuous alarm causes significant driver distraction, and the loss of rear visibility impairs safe operation of the vehicle, particularly in adverse weather. Minor children are frequent passengers, and the defect has occurred while they were in the vehicle. The vehicle has been presented to an authorized Chevrolet dealership on four separate occasions for the same issue. Multiple repair attempts, including diagnostics, software updates, component replacement, and latch assembly replacement, have failed to correct the defect. Because the alarm cannot be armed, the vehicle was left unsecured and was subsequently broken into, resulting in theft of personal property. General Motors has been notified and declined repurchase, directing me back to repeated diagnostics despite the unresolved safety-related defect. • 12/18/2025· UNKNOWN OR OTHER

Onstar telematics control module not working. Dealer says part is in back order. Some vehicle safety features are not available. GPS not available. When my phone is connected via android auto my GPS some times show my location as being in New Jersey while I'm actually in New York and nowhere close to the location shown.

  • 12/17/2025· SERVICE BRAKES,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE

I started the vehicle to move it to a different place in my driveway and after putting it in reverse, it notified me that the ABS was not working. I could not stop the vehicle without pressing the brakes very hard and even then it was still rolling backward slowly. I quickly put the vehicle in park before the car rolled into my house.

  • 12/15/2025· FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE

The contact owns a 2025 Chevrolet Traverse. The contact stated that while driving 25 MPH, the brakes independently activated. In addition, the driver's seat vibrated, and the instrument panel was illuminated red. The message "Pedestrian Nearby" was displayed. The contact stated that there were no pedestrians nearby. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer or an independent mechanic to be diagnosed or repaired. The contact stated that the week prior to the failure, the vehicle was at the dealer, where the Telematics Control Module was replaced. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 7,926.

  • 12/14/2025· SERVICE BRAKES,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE

My brakes, abs, front collision, esc light are on and dealership continue to try to fix and no luck. I have take 3 times in the last week with no luck. I need this fixed because I bought for safety features and now I have no vehicle to drive to work.

  • 12/09/2025· ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,LANE DEPARTURE

A car approached my blind spot and the blind spot detection did not alert. I tried to change lanes assuming the system was functioning and nearly ran someone off the road. Shortly after this the “service blind spot detection light” came on. Following this failure the vehicle telematics went out rendering the paid on star safety system useless. Parts to remedy the issue on indefinite back order per GM on 12/8/25.

  • 12/02/2025· SERVICE BRAKES

On July 16, 2025, with 4,514 miles on the odometer, the dashboard displayed warning messages for “Service ECS” and “Service Brake Assist,” along with illuminated indicators for BRAKE, ABS, and Traction Control. At 4,598 miles, the master cylinder was replaced. However, after installing a new brake master cylinder, power brake booster, and Electronic Brake Control Module, the brakes failed. As a result, an independent certified dealer had to reinstall all components to address the issue.

  • 11/17/2025· SERVICE BRAKES,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE

We drove the car to the store and everything was fine we went in to shop. We came back out and I turned the car on and my dash board had lights on. My brake light will not turn off . My ABS light is on. My forward collision light is on .. I am getting a notice to service ESC, and a separate one saying service brake assist . I ran a onstar diagnostic and it came back everything is good. I have not brought it into the dealership yet for them to look at it I will be calling . I have multiple children and I was so scared my brakes were fulling going to give out on my 20 min drive home. I couldn’t imagine what would have happened we could have hurt someone else on the road and ourselves.

  • 11/11/2025· AIR BAGS,BACK OVER PREVENTIONCrash

I was in t-boned on the passenger side of my vehicle. All side air bags went off but did not deflate. I had to crawl onto my floor to get out of the vehicle. Also when the emergency collision park kicked in it locked my doors so had I been unconscious I would have been locked in the car.

I was driving down the road with my 4 year old son in the back and I went to stop at a stop sign and my car immediately lost brakes, the brakes went down to the floorboard with almost little to no stopping of my car. Very scary and something needs to be done about this

  • 10/31/2025· SERVICE BRAKES,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE

The 2025 Chevy Traverse was purchased on 10/27/25 - new. On the morning of 10/31/25, several lights came on for service such as the brake, ABS, traction control and forward Collison. Through a quick google search, saw there are many issues with the master cylinder leading to brake issues. At this time, the car only has 535 miles. Prior to this incident, the car had no evident issues. I contacted my local dealership to set up an appointment to have the issue assessed and fixed. The appointment is scheduled for 11/5/25. I will not be able to drive the car in the mean time, as it poses a safety concern (brake failure) to my family and myself.

  • 10/31/2025· SERVICE BRAKES,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE

While driving our 2025 Chevrolet Traverse with 9450 miles at 45 MPH, it suddenly came to a complete stop and would not advance. Eventually after restarting the vehicle it would drive again, but the ABS, collision avoidance, traction control, and emergency braking was disabled. We learned that the "master brake cylinder" failed. This requires a repair and the parts are backordered. Furthermore we learned this is a known common issue and there is a service warning for the 2024 Traverse and there is now a class action lawsuit. It apparently is also common on the 2025 traverse. This is a potentially dangerous situation that apparently is common and should prompt an immediate recall and replacement with a new and redesigned part. There are numerous reports of similar incidents and per the dealer this is a common repair.

  • 10/29/2025· SERVICE BRAKES

I started my car last Sunday afternoon (10/26/25) and it began to alert me with tones and flashed on my dashboard "Service Brake Assist" and "Service ESC". Prior to that I drove it earlier that morning and it was seemingly working fine. Took it to the dealership the next evening (Monday, 10/27/25)for them to look at the following day (Tuesday, 10/28/25) and was told they were still looking into it. They just contacted me today (Wednesday, 10/29/25) that it is the brake master cylinder that had failed and that I should not drive it and they offered me a rental car.

  • 10/25/2025· SEAT BELTS

Name: [XXX] •Address: [XXX] •Phone: [XXX] •Email: [XXX] Date of Incident: October 7, 2025 Description of Problem: While driving our 2025 Chevrolet Traverse on October 7, 2025, our son was sitting in the third-row seat and somehow managed to buckle two seatbelts at once—one from the right side and one from the left—crossing them over his chest and neck. Once both belts were latched, they locked in place. When we tried to loosen one side, the opposite side only tightened further, causing him to be choked. We tried multiple ways to release the seatbelts, but the locking mechanism prevented any movement. Several adults tried to help, but no one could free him. We ultimately had to cut one of the seatbelts to safely release him. He was left with visible red marks on his neck, and the incident caused significant fear and distress. The seatbelts were crisscrossed, which explains why attempting to loosen one side made the other side tighten. This appears to be a dangerous design issue, as there was no safe or quick way to release the belts in this situation. We are deeply concerned that this design could pose a serious strangulation hazard to children or other passengers in the future. Attachments: •Photos showing the crisscrossed seatbelts •Photos showing the red marks on the neck after the incident We request that NHTSA review this complaint to determine if this is a vehicle safety defect and take any appropriate action to prevent similar incidents from occurring. • 10/21/2025· ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,SERVICE BRAKES,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE

The master cylinder and ABS braking system failed, rendering the vehicle inoperable and leaving my family stranded approximately 285 miles from home. This represents a serious safety defect, as the braking system malfunctioned while the vehicle was in operation. The dealership has confirmed the issue, and the vehicle has remained in their possession for over two weeks awaiting parts and repair. During the failure, multiple warning indicators illuminated, including the ABS, Service ESC, and brake system lights. Once the brake system engaged, I was unable to release it or drive the vehicle any further.

  • 10/14/2025· SERVICE BRAKES,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE

a week after purchase with less than 300 miles and 5 days the ABS, Trac Control, ESC, lights came on.. The same TSB known to the 2024 Chev Traverse are happening to my car, the same parts suggested in that TSB are what I am being told is being replaced in mine... The TSB I found includes 2025 Buick Enclave and 2024 Traverse. Seems the 2025 is probably having the same issue. The brakes did not fail but the lights remained on, the sealer advised the car was unsafe to operate until the parts were replaced. I am in a loaner car under factory warranty of course but I think the TSB should be expanded to include 2025 Traverse as well.

  • 10/13/2025· STRUCTURE

One day My husband went to work and the antenna fin was attached, he came back home and it was no longer there . We do not car wash my car since its brand new. We hand wash it our selves there should be zero reason for that to come off. Apparently is a very common problem in the 2025 traverse. I joined a Facebook group and over 40 people had the same issue.

  • 10/11/2025· STRUCTURE

The antenna fin became detached and flew off as I was driving posing a risk to other drivers on the road. I was on an open highway when this happened. There was no damage to the fin prior to this.

  • 10/10/2025· ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,SERVICE BRAKES,BACK OVER PREVENTION

Service ESC & Brake Assist lights came on after only 4 months with the vehicle. The vehicle also abruptly slammed on the automatic brakes when backing into a parking spot with no obstacle present prior to the service lights indicating any issues. The vehicle was diagnosed with a failed brake master cylinder nearly two weeks ago, but the part is still on national backorder and will be stuck at the dealership for an undetermined amount of time with no loaners available. There are plenty other accounts of this same issue happening to other newly-bought '25 Traverses, and the N242482170 bulletin related to the '24 model hints at this being a recurring issue. This safety issue on a brand new vehicle without recognition/resolve is unacceptable.

On September 30 I was on my way to work as I was merging to join a busy highway my breaks failed to work. I had to press them really hard but it took for ever to yield. I made hand signals to the cars I was about to strike and they were able to break before I hit them as I was merging. When this happened 3 service lights appeared. Service ESC system, Break assist failure. Press hard to break.Speed limited. Key missing, check for key. i had an appointment for a cracked windshield on Friday the 3rd and Richland Chevrolet in Roswell. I took my traverse in on Wednesday afternoon and never heard back from them. on Monday October 6 I called and they advised me that my car needed a master cylinder and it was on back order. They said they could not give me an ETA because they have no idea when it will be available. They do not have a loaner because I did not purchase the vehicle their so I called the dealership where I bought it and they cant help me either.

my wife was driving and she got warning lights for "brake assist failure" "speed limited" and "Service ESC". Brake pedal went all the way to floor and she came to a rolling stop. She couldve been in a accident if there were vehicles in front of her and it was also near a school bus stop. We recieved the vehicle from the shop a week ago today for other issues. (onstar). Was also in shop at dealership prior to that for coolant leak, a/c failure and a loud humming noise. Also door latch to rear hatch.

Started 09/17/25: While braking, a front-end clunk or thud occurs. Directly afterwards, a cluster of warning lights appeared including Brake, ABS, Collision avoidance/forward collision, and Stabile track stability control) Brake pedal is now inconsistent and soft. Every time the brakes are activated, the thud or clunk occurs. When I start the vehicle, I get warning messages of Service Brake Assist, Service ESC on the dash that I must acknowledge. Called Hendricks Chevy Columbia SC on 9/18/25. Told to bring into dealership on 9/19/25. Dealership attempted diagnosis but could not. They bled brakes and reset all warning lights. I drove car approx. 10 miles and symptoms reoccurred, including all warning lights and thud/clunk. Called Dealership again and told to bring into on 9/22/25. It is now 9/23/25 and they have not diagnosed it yet. I was assigned a loaner car for 5 days.

I rear ended a car on 3/12/25, and my automatic emergency braking system light was on at the time. When my car was returned to me, I set the braking system off, so the light was still on, but when I tried to turn the system back on in June, the light came on and told me I needed to get it serviced. As it wasn't a priority to have the automatic emergency braking system, I didn't take my car into the dealership until August 18, when 3 more dashboard indicators came on. The dealership stated they would be waiting on a part for my brakes, but it is on national backorder, with no ETA. It has been in the shop for over 4 weeks (it was dropped of 8/18, but lights came on 8/10).

  • 09/12/2025· SERVICE BRAKES

The ABS break service warning appeared in the info screen. I have less than 3000 miles on it. The dealer said the car should not be driven. They had to order the parts, Master Cylinder, reservoir kit, etc. They also said there was a GM Bulletin on this issue.

  • 09/10/2025· STRUCTURE

The antenna cover (shark fin) on the roof of the vehicle detached while driving and flew off. Looking at the piece that flew off, the clips that are made to clip in and keep it attached to the roof broke off somehow and seemed to be very weak where some were still attached. The safety of other vehicles are put at risk by it being unexpected flying debris and could potentially hit a vehicle/motorcycle following behind or debris is the roadway. My dealer specifically has not seen many, but when researching online, it’s is a very common issue with the 2024 and 2025 Chevrolet Traverse. My vehicle was brought to my dealership and a person from the body shop will attempt to attach it back for a temporary fix until the issue can be resolved and not have to pay hundreds of dollars for something that the vehicle owner had no control over breaking. There was no warning of this attachment breaking off, nor should it be something that a vehicle owner should have to worry about replacing six months in of purchasing a brand new vehicle.
