Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) is recalling certain 2024-2025 Toyota Tundra, Tacoma Hybrid, Tacoma, RAV4 Hybrid, Land Cruiser Hybrid, Lexus GX550, 2024-2026 Tundra Hybrid, 2025 Sequoia Hybrid, Crown Signia, Grand Highlander, Lexus TX500 Hybrid, Lexus NX350 Hybrid, 2025-2026 Grand Highlander Hybrid, and Lexus TX350 vehicles. The load carrying capacity modification label may display inaccurate added weight values. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 110, "Tire Selection and Rims."
Risk: A vehicle with an incorrect maximum capacity weight value may be overloaded, which can increase the risk of a crash.

The load carrying capacity modification label may display inaccurate added weight values. The rearview camera image may not display when the vehicle is placed in reverse. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 111, "Rear Visibility."
Risk: A rearview camera image that does not display reduces the driver's view behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.

Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) is recalling certain 2024 Sequoia Hybrid, Tundra and Tundra Hybrid vehicles. The passenger-side front and rear tires may have inner sidewall damage, which can cause a sudden loss of tire pressure.
Risk: A sudden loss of tire pressure can result in a loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash.
Fix: Dealers will inspect and replace the tires as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed December 5, 2024. Owners may contact Toyota customer service at 1-800-331-4331. Toyota's number for this recall is 24TA12.

Risk: Reverse light failure may reduce visibility, and not alert pedestrians and other drivers that the vehicle is backing up, increasing the risk of a crash.

The contact owns a 2024 Toyota Tundra Hybrid. The contact stated that while the vehicle was exiting the local car wash, the contact heard a loud popping sound. The contact drove the vehicle 5 MPH the nearest safe location. The vehicle was towed to the dealer where it was diagnosed with fractured front driver’s and passenger’s side CV axles. The contact was informed that the CV axles needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and a case was filed. The failure mileage was approximately 3,000.

The contact owns a 2024 Toyota Tundra Hybrid. The contact stated while driving 40-45 MPH uphill and depressing the brake pedal to come to a stop at the red traffic light, the brake pedal travelled down to the floorboard, and the vehicle failed to respond. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact stated that the vehicle started rolling backwards while in drive(D). The contact shifted to park(P), but the vehicle continued to roll backwards. The contact stated upon engaging the electric parking brake, the vehicle stopped. The contact stated that after the vehicle was turned off and restarted, the vehicle responded as needed. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where the contact was informed that the failure could not be duplicated. The contact filled out a form to allow the vehicle data to be retrieved per the dealer's recommendation. The contact stated that the manufacturer's engineers were assisting the dealer in diagnosing the vehicle. The vehicle was not yet diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 11,200.

The contact owns a 2024 Toyota Tundra Hybrid. The contact stated that while driving 3-20 MPH, the instrument cluster multi-information display (MID) located near the left side of the steering wheel was scrolling independently, causing the gauge information to be replaced independently on the instrument cluster. Additionally, the contact stated that the left side of the steering wheel was warmer. There was no warning light illuminated. The dealer was notified of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and later informed the contact that the dealer had been contacted on the contact's behalf; however, no further assistance was provided. The failure mileage was 31,970.

The contact owns a 2024 Toyota Tundra Hybrid. The contact stated that upon starting the vehicle and attempting to depress the brake pedal, the brake pedal went to the floorboard with no resistance. The contact depressed the brake pedal again and on the third attempt, the brake pedal functioned as intended. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer where the vehicle was diagnosed; however, the contact was informed that there was no cause for the failure found; however, a code for a brake communication failure was retrieved. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 3,400.
