On [XXX], multiple electrical systems on my 2024 Ford Mustang suddenly failed while the vehicle was in normal operation. The following systems stopped functioning: HVAC/climate control, heated seats, outside temperature display, rear turn signals, and blind spot monitoring. No prior warning lights were displayed before the failure. These failures significantly compromised safety because the rear turn signals and blind spot monitoring stopped working without warning while driving. Loss of exterior signaling and driver-assistance systems created a risk of collision. The lack of HVAC also created visibility concerns due to inability to defog windows. The vehicle was taken to an authorized Ford dealer the same day. The dealer confirmed the issue, diagnosed water intrusion into the Body Control Module, and stated that the failure is linked to an open Ford recall regarding BCM water intrusion. The dealer has had the vehicle since 10/21/25, and the BCM and related components remain available for inspection. The repair has been delayed for nearly two months, and the dealer reports they are “waiting on engineering approval” from Ford with no estimated completion date. The defect has been reproduced and confirmed by the dealer but has not yet been repaired. The manufacturer has not inspected the vehicle directly, and no police or insurance inspection has occurred. The safety risk remains significant because BCM failure disables multiple critical signaling and monitoring systems without warning. While driving approximately 55 mph on a four-lane highway around 8 p.m., the rear window of my 2024 Mustang GT 5.0 Premium exploded/shattered and is now visibly pulling away from the frame. The glass appears ready to collapse inward. Weather conditions were damp with light misting rain and a temperature near 55°F. The rear defroster was not in use, and there were no warning signs or cracks prior to the failure. Only one other vehicle was nearby, so it is not consistent with road debris. The explosion/shatter occurred suddenly and without impact. Photos clearly show the glass shattered separating from the body seam. This presents a clear safety hazard because the rear window could shatter or detach while driving, risking injury to occupants and other motorists. I have photos documenting the damage. The vehicle has not yet been repaired. Ford dealership will be notified when they open in the morning. No injuries occurred, but safety risk is significant. This vehicle is a year old and is garage kept and not exposed to harsh environments. There was no reason for the window to shatter.

I visited the [XXX] in Greensboro, NC on [XXX], was inside the Y for around five minutes, and when I came out and got back to my car, the car would not start, the battery was completely dead. I called USAA Road Service, they came and said I had a very discharged battery. They helped me get the car started, and I got home OK. I do not know what caused the battery to fail. After the battery failed, It was inspected on July 9, 2024 by Green Ford in Greensboro, and then replaced by the Ford dealer. My safety was at risk because the dealer said the faulty battery probably was responsible for an accelerator problem I am experiencing (detailed in NHTSA complaint number 11619861) and a brake failure which I experienced (detailed in NHTSA complaint number 11619933). The Ford dealer that said the battery was defective, and as I said, replaced it (under the car's warranty). There was no warning that the battery would fail, and I do not know why it failed, and had no reason to believe it would fail. If the Ford dealer kept the failed battery, and still has it, it should be available for inspection upon request. –In the Owner’s Manual, there are numerous items of information not related to this car. By that, I don't mean a different variation (SL vs Rt). I mean it tells you to push buttons that do not exist. For example, in "visual mode", reviewing the steering wheel. –The Owner’s Manual says to accept a call, press the phone button on the steering wheel – no such button exists. The Owner’s Manual says to hang up a call, press the phone button. Again no such button. You can not say end call during a call– so no voice modes work in call mode. THIS FORCES YOU TO INTERACT WITH CAR BY REMOVING A HAND FROM STEERING WHEEL–THUS VIOLATING Florida Statute 316.305 -- Another example- Using visual, it points to a button on the wrong side of the wheel. If you click on the “G” represented on the bottom right of the steering wheel it shows “mode” buttons. Mode on the actual wheel is on the left hand side. This is just one example of several items in the manual that don’t match the actual car. Plus you have to “know” the correct terminology to search. In a paper manual you can normally get close and thumb through a few pages to find the right things– without that capability if you don’t know the exact wording you are lost. ---There are also numerous customizable setting that do not hold after “saving”. While these may not be safety issues themselves—the amount of interaction this vehicle requires to figure out “what now?”, Is a distraction and may cause accidents. Pics are of the owners manual installed on the car (we no longer get printed versions). 2 screens telling you to end call with buttons on steering wheel. @ pics of all buttons on the wheel. 1 pic of wheel layout according to installed manual (which doesn't match the actual wheel) ---According to Dealer the vehicle's software is up to date with current version.

From a stop at a traffic light on [XXX], I made a right turn from [XXX] onto [XXX] in Greensboro NC, and after turning, the car did not respond when I pressed on the accelerator so as to go with the traffic. Instead, the car gradually slowed down. Before the car rolled to a stop in the middle of the road, the engine caught on and the car speeded up normally. The risk is that I would become stopped in the middle of a busy road and that someone rear end into me. If this problem were to occur as I was entering onto an interstate highway, where traffic routinely moves along at 70 mph and more, it would not be good. I took my car to Green Ford, the local dealership, on July 9, 2024. They found a defective battery (which was replaced under the car's warranty), and the dealership said the problems (accelerator and also brakes) were likely caused by a defective battery. (At the same visit the dealership also examined my brakes, which had failed, and which I am describing in a separate incident report). The accelerator problem occurred again on [XXX] when I pulled out of my apartment parking lot onto [XXX] , and after turning onto [XXX] , the car gradually started to slow down, and would have come to a stop. I pushed on the accelerator repeatedly and the car, before stopping, got up to speed (the speed limit is 35 mph on [XXX] ). The next day, on October 8, 2024, at the Green Ford dealership, the dealership could find nothing wrong with the car. On [XXX], on the way downtown (to the Ford Dealership) I experienced the accelerator problem several tines. The dealership did not examine the car again, but advised me to keep detailed notes for a week and after a week report back to them. . I was slowly backing out of a parking space at the Circle K gas station on July 3, 2024, on Battleground Avenue in Greensboro, NC, and applied the brakes when the warning alert sounded that there was cross traffic. I immediately applied the brakes, but to no avail. Application of the car's brakes, pumping the brakes, had no effect on stopping the backward motion the car. The car continued to roll backwards, and I very nearly collided with a car sweeping past the rear of my car, when I could not stop. When I drove to Green Ford on July 9, 2024 and told the dealership what happened (along with an accelerator problem, which I reported separately on incident report number 11619861), the dealership inspected my car and said the failed brakes (along with the accelerator problem) could have caused by a defective battery, which the dealership then replaced under the car's warrenty. The safety of everyone in the car could have been affected had a collision occurred, especially if the car's gas tank had been damaged in a collision, and if a fire had resulted.

- 10/13/2024· SERVICE BRAKES
The front wheels of the vehicle have different breaks - this is a factory fault (Manufacturing defect). The front right wheel has 6 piston brembo brake and the left front wheel has 4 piston caliper brakes, causing vehicle to put different braking power on both side - causing it to slid to the right side while breakin (The right wheel producing more breaking power than the left side). This is a safety hazard for me and public, the dealership I bought this car had run their own inspection before selling it to me but they passed the inspection which means they ignore this major fault. Even before that, this vehicle passed the PDI (pre-delivery inspection) at the ford production plant and the dealership sold it to me. Its been 3 months and I experienced vibration on the front left wheel and slid towards the right side on the highway and noticed the brakes are different. This is a big issue, safety hazard, public safety risk and I went through a lot once I found this issue.

Unknown. Stress cracks on my tail light started to appear. I have asked others in the Mustang community and quite a few have reported the same cracks except they’ve had water getting inside the tail light. I have taken it to the dealer but have been told I caused it with no visible impact and even the service advisors stating there isn’t any sign of damage from myself or someone else. I have cameras to prove otherwise at home. I don’t want to drive my car and one day my tail light is out and get pulled over especially when there are some issues reported about cracks, moisture, etc. It could cause issues if you’re trying to signal someone from behind if you are getting ready to turn or hazards.

In the morning when I start the car, I have a blank digital instrumentation screen. No way to tell how fast you are driving or how much gas you have and no warning lights. Sometimes it will take over an hour to come back on. Took it to a Ford dealership and they said they could not duplicate the problem, but a service bulletin was out on is problem was out on this to make sure software was up to date. My car is up to date, and I was told Ford was working on the problem if that did not correct it with a time frame of October 2025. Subject: Request for Investigation - Fraudulent and Falsified Vehicle Records (Crest Ford & Roy O'Brien Ford, Possible Involvement of Bell Ford) Dear Attorney General, I am submitting this complaint to formally request an investigation into fraud committed by Roy O'Brien, an automobile dealership located in Michigan. On [XXX], 1 purchased a 2024 dark horse mustang #R8911 from Roy O'Brien under the representation that the vehicle was brand new, undamaged, and met all safety standards. After the sale, I obtained evidence that the vehicle had, in fact, been in an accident during transport and subsequently altered and resold without disclosure. This constitutes misrepresentation and consumer fraud under Michigan law. Specifically: • The dealership and its employees knowingly concealed the accident and subsequent alterations. • The vehicle was sold as "factory new," despite being materially compromised in safety and integrity. • I paid full market value under false pretenses, believing the vehicle to be undamaged and original. I have retained documentation, communications, and repair evidence that substantiate this fraud, including proof that dealership personnel were aware of the accident. I am prepared to provide all supporting records for your review. This misconduct not only caused me financial harm but also created a serious public safety risk, as the vehicle does not meet proper safety standards. I respectfully request that your office investigate this matter for potential violations of Michigan's Consumer Protection Act and any applicable fraud statutes. Please advise me on next steps and whether additional information is required. I am willing to fully cooperate with your investigation. 1. The vehicle had been in an accident during transport prior to sale. 2. Crest Ford appears to have falsely documented services that were never performed, in an effort to disguise the vehicle's accident history and damage. 3. These falsified service records were used to conspire. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

My 2024 Ford Mustang is affected by Recall 25C43 / NHTSA Campaign No. 25V546 concerning water intrusion into the Body Control Module (BCM) that may cause exterior lighting failure. Yesterday, on September 05, 2025, I contacted Autonation Ford Miami and requested the required interim inspection and BCM check. The dealer provided me with a written refusal, stating they “will not be able to perform inspection on Recall 25C43 due to instructions for mechanic not available.” This is unacceptable because under 49 U.S.C. § 30120(c)(1), a manufacturer must remedy a defect “without charge when the vehicle is presented for remedy.” Ford’s dealer communication of Aug 25, 2025 instructed dealers to inspect body seams and the BCM for water or corrosion, and replace the BCM if needed. By refusing inspection, the dealer has left me driving a car at risk of safety-critical lighting failure. I am requesting that NHTSA enforce compliance so Ford dealers provide at least the required inspection and interim remedy immediately, rather than forcing customers to wait until 2026.

I am extremely disappointed with Ford’s handling of my situation and the lack of customer support for what appears to be a premature major component failure. I own a 2024 Ford Mustang GT with only 56,022 miles. While driving, my air conditioning suddenly stopped blowing cold air. I took the vehicle to an authorized Ford dealership, where it was diagnosed with a catastrophic A/C compressor failure. The compressor had internally locked up, sending metal shavings throughout the A/C system. I was told the repair would require replacing the compressor, expansion valve, desiccant, belt, flushing the system, and recharging the A/C, with an estimated cost of nearly $5,000. I contacted Ford Customer Relationship Center and requested goodwill assistance because this is a 2024 vehicle and this type of catastrophic failure should not happen at only 56,000 miles. I explained that I had only owned the vehicle for approximately 7,000 miles after purchasing it used with around 49,000 miles. Unfortunately, I was simply told that there was nothing Ford could do because the vehicle was outside of the basic warranty. There was no meaningful effort to review the circumstances, no offer of partial assistance, and no indication that Ford was willing to stand behind what appears to be an unusually premature failure of a major factory component. I understand warranties have limits, but customer service should go beyond simply reading warranty terms. A compressor that fails catastrophically and contaminates the entire A/C system on a vehicle this new is not something most owners would reasonably expect. I wasn’t asking Ford to ignore its warranty—I was asking the company to stand behind its product through goodwill assistance for an unusual failure. This experience has left me questioning Ford’s commitment to customer satisfaction. When a major component fails unexpectedly on a relatively new vehicle, customers deserve more than a quick denial. I expected better from a company with Ford.

The shift knob in this car has an issue where the silver ABS plastic piece with the gear numbers and the shift pattern detaches from the rest of the shift knob. This issue has been confirmed and repaired by a Ford dealer twice already in the 9 months I have owned the car. The first time this issue occurred, the silver piece was loose. Before it completely detached, I was able to get it repaired at a Ford dealer. The issue was confirmed by the dealer in the receipt they gave me: "Verified customer concern, shifter knob loose, the aluminum to the leather, replaced shifter knob. No other concerns at this time." The second time this issue occurred, the silver piece suddenly detached when shifting gears during normal city driving. When this happened, the silver piece flew off the shift knob and fell into a gap next to the passenger seat. I was able to get it repaired at a Ford dealer again. They again confirmed the issue on the service receipt: "Verified customer concern, Replaced gear shifter knob". This is a safety issue since it is hard to tell what gear I am shifting into if the plastic piece with the shift patterns breaks off. Once the piece breaks off, it is not easy to grip the shift knob normally, requiring the driver contort their arm in a different direction to grip the shift knob, making it harder and slower to shift. As someone who is experienced with the car, I can get around these issues. However, if someone who just started driving this car experiences this issue, they may not be able to shift gears or shift into reverse, since they may not be familiar with the shift pattern. During the second occurrence of the issue, it caused a lot of confusion and momentarily reduced my attention to the road and the surroundings as I was shocked by the shift knob suddenly breaking and the piece flying off. I attached pictures of the second occurrence of the issue and receipts from the two service visits to a Ford dealer.

The curtain airbags deployed without any collision or impact. This suggests a failure of the airbag sensors. The vehicle and all components, including the deployed airbags and related sensors, are available for inspection upon request. The sudden airbag deployment created a significant safety hazard. If this had occurred while driving at higher speeds, it could have caused me to lose control of the vehicle. The force of the deployment itself poses a risk of injury and can cause burns, bruises, or hearing damage. Myself and the passenger experienced these injuries. Other drivers could have been endangered if my vehicle reacted unexpectedly due to the deployment. The manufacturer inspected the EDR system which claimed that there was collision. There was no collision and no physical damage on the vehicle to suggest otherwise. This suggests a fault with the EDR system, sensors, and safety components of the vehicle. The vehicle is currently under inspection by insurance representatives. A few months into initially driving my vehicle, a warning lamp stating "RESTRAINT INDICATOR LAMP FAULT" was appearing. In March, there was dent and paint damage on the vehicle caused by a driveway gate, unrelated to the recent airbag deployment. These damages and warning lamp were fixed by an insurance certified shop. A report from this repair shop will be provided upon request. It cannot be attached below due to significant file size. There were no indication or warnings suggesting further fault with the airbags or any other safety restraint from March to the July, when the incident occurred.

The main display on vehicle providing speed, gas level, mileage and all gauges and vehicle information and notifications has gone completely black. Screen has not been able to turn back on after troubleshooting with Ford. Dealerships have been booked up for a week or two in a 2 state radius and ford has denied to provide a loner vehicle so I am stuck driving without knowing how much gas or how fast I’m going

Automatic breaking engaged too sensitively, the driver infront of me had stopped a few yards away and I was already starting to stop when the vehicle suddenly stopped. The driver behind me almost rear ended me. This was at a green light.

I bought a new 2024 Mustang in 11/2024 from Town & Country Ford in Port Arthur, Tx. Days after the purchase, I recieved a voicemail to return asap and was told by the owner that I would recieve a gift card if I did. I didn't understand why at the time, as it wasn't explained. Unfortunately, I was unable to return because the dealership is 4 hours drive from my residence. That was the last I heard anything. Recently, in 6/2026 I noticed that there were 2 active recalls in the Ford app. I then made an appointment with my local dealership, Tyler Ford in Tyler, Tx and the recalls were performed. The service tech at the Tyler dealership advised me then that there was no warranty start date entered in the system from when the vehicle was purchased and that he could not enter the recall information, nor could he perform any future warranty work. The week after, I noticed a crack in my passenger tailight and took it to the Tyler dealership. The same service tech (Vegas) advised that they couldn't do anything because of the warranty service date issue. Myself and Vegas have attempted multiple times over a 3 week period to have this date entered by Town & Country. Further research finds that there was a stop sale recall on the Mustang issued 10/2024 24C35 for the IPC screen that was not performed prior to its sale to me 11/2024 and now the dealership management is attempting to cover it up. I've spoken with the dealership warranty person (DeMarcus) and he has advised that management is aware and he has relayed the info several times. Nonetheless, aside from their violation of federal law and elusive cover up, I am seemingly without warranty coverage and forced to drive un unsafe vehicle because the turn signal does not operate due to penetrating water damage into the light housing. Town & Country says they will enter the date when the recalls are entered, but Tyler says they can't enter the recalls until the warranty start date is entered.

I am dealing with ford on two brand new mustangs. That are both failing electrically and they claim they have fixed yet haven’t and still exhibiting gross safety concerns. This is simply large scale negligence. Both Mustangs screens have and are randomly blacking out creating massive safety concern when no guages or functions are present. I’ve contacted them and a. Insider has given me a document showing that they know and have no answers. And for this. Is gross negligence. I demand replacements. Both problems have cause financial damages. And also psychological trauma due to prior car wreck where dash blacked out. This is a known issue And I demand answers.

I purchased a new 2024 Mustang GT. Shortly after I experiences a dead throttle. The car would coast to a near stop and pushing the gas pedal multiple times had no effect. This has happen more than 4 times now. It was taken into the dealership twice. The first time the car was kept for a week and returned with no problem found. The second time is was returned more quickly again with no problem found. With what was asked I don't think I was taken seriously. I drive in areas with poor visibility due to hills and curves and only single lane roads without usable shoulders. Twice it happened in middle of one of these roads and I was at a near stop in middle of the roadway. I was nearly rear ended my a truck traveling at high speed twice with nowhere or no way to move. Another time exiting one street and enter on to another rather busy street with fast moving traffic. The car nearly came to a complete stop in mid turn. Power came back just in time to avoid an accident. I and possibly others could have easily been seriously injured or worse in any of those. I have concerns taking this car anywhere at this point.

While driving or idling there is a whining sound coming from what sounds like the transmission. I also have a video of me shift from Park to Drive and back to Park again and it is making a clicking sound outside of the car. Also it is taking longer to shift. I’m concerned something is wrong with the transmission. I have brought the car to a dealership who tells me it is normal without really looking at it all because Ford has sent out a bulletin stating that the whining noise is “normal.”

The front windshield on my vehicle has cracked twice under normal driving conditions, without any significant impact or debris striking it. The cracks originated near the middle top and then another time lower edge of the glass and expanded rapidly across the surface. This seems to indicate a structural or design flaw, especially since I have seen multiple reports from other owners of the same make and model experiencing similar spontaneous windshield cracking. No, the cracked windshield is not available for inspection upon request. But I did have it sent to the dealership for review. The cracks compromised my visibility, particularly in sunlight and during night driving, which directly put my safety—and the safety of others—at risk. The second incident occurred on a highway, which was especially dangerous due to high-speed travel and glare from sunlight refracting through the cracks. This problem has not yet been formally reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or service center, but I have found numerous owner complaints online and in forums documenting the same issue. I believe this supports the theory that it's a broader defect rather than isolated cases. The vehicle has not been inspected by the manufacturer, police, or insurance agents regarding this specific issue. I am open to having the damaged windshield reviewed by any party they recommend. There were no warning lights, error messages, or visible signs of damage before the cracks appeared. Both times, the windshield cracked suddenly while the car was parked or driving at moderate speeds, and the temperature conditions were not extreme.

The contact owns a 2024 Ford Mustang. The contact stated that while seated in the front driver's seat, the front driver's side seat belt failed to properly retract and failed to properly secure the driver. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who inspected the vehicle and determined that the seat belt operated normally, and no failure was found. The contact was concerned that the seatbelt would not function properly during a crash. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was offered. The failure mileage was 5,000.
