My vehicle was apart of the GM L87 recall. I took it to the dealership and it passed the recall and received the remedy which was an oil change. Now about 3 months later, I was driving in the highway at approximately 70 mph when the vehicle lost power and shifted to neutral. I had to attempt to veer off the highway with no acceleration. Upon getting it to the side of the highway, it wouldn’t do anything at all and had to be towed. The dealership has deemed it needs a new engine due to the failure the L87s are facing. We had no warning at all prior to the engine failure, and assumed that after passing a recall it had some degree of safety.

The vehicle drove fine had no warning/ check engine lights. My girlfriend came up to a busy intersection and when she proceeded to cross the intersection the vehicles motor locked up stopping the vehicle in the middle of the intersection with traffic coming from both north and south direction. We had poor visibility due to blowing snow so she had to bail from the vehicle and stand on the side of the road so she would not be harmed if the vehicle was t boned. Vehicle stopped so hard and fast it threw her into the steering wheel. Was unable to get the vehicle restarted and could not get it to shift into neutral so vehicle blocked 1 lane of traffic completely and half of another lane until tow truck arrived to remove from road.

Brand new vehicle, at about 5k miles the backup camera went out in April 2023. It is now December of 2023 and I have not had any sort of resolution. I have 3 children ages 2, 4 and 5 and it is very concerning for me and my wife to not have a backup camera especially at night.

In April 2022, I purchased a brand-new 2022 Yukon Denali from Roberts-Robinson Chevrolet GMC in Excelsior Springs, MO. Shortly thereafter, the first engine failure occurred in October 2022. The vehicle was towed to GMC AutoNation in Golden, CO, where it remained until repairs were completed in January 2023. Soon after the vehicle was returned, the second engine failure occurred in February 2023. The vehicle was again towed to GMC AutoNation, and repairs were not completed until April 2023. At that time, given the repeated failures, I worked with GMC and Roberts-Robinson Chevrolet GMC to replace the vehicle entirely. I took delivery of a new 2023 GMC Yukon Denali as a resolution. On October 8, 2025, the engine on the 2023 Yukon Denali also failed, marking the third major engine failure I have experienced across these vehicles. The vehicle was towed again to GMC AutoNation in Golden, CO, where it remained for two months. I picked up the "repaired" vehicle on Tuesday, December 9, 2025. This pattern of failures has caused significant disruption and distress. I have spent countless hours coordinating tows, securing rental vehicles, and seeking reimbursement for out-of-pocket expenses. More importantly, these repeated engine failures, all of which occurred while I was driving 65 MPH on I-70 through the Colorado mountains, have created extremely dangerous situations for me and my loved ones. Navigating heavy traffic during sudden engine failure and waiting on the roadside for assistance has been frightening and unacceptable for a vehicle of this caliber. Overall, this experience has been incredibly stressful and disappointing.

Vehicle lost steering and brakes suddenly. Many errors on screen such as: Brake System Failure, ABS Failure, ESC Failure, Traction Control Failure, Maximum Vehicle Speed 43mph. Was able to slowly get home with no power assisted brakes. Did not drive it any more until it was taken to dealer 2 days later and the dealer could not replicate the errors. Dealer was able to see stored error codes; however, they could not verify any errors in any of the modules or computer. Dealer wants us to take it back and wife is scared to drive it due to no fixes or repairs. Loss of brakes and steering is NOT a situation to ask an owner to 'bring back when it happens again"

- 12/10/2025· VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL,SERVICE BRAKES,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE
While driving in approximately 10°F weather after the vehicle had been parked outside overnight during snowfall in Chicago, the vehicle displayed a warning that said “Do Not Drive — Maximum Speed 43 MPH.” At the same time, the brake pedal became extremely hard and the vehicle had significantly reduced braking ability, requiring much longer stopping distance. This occurred without any brake warning lights beforehand. After the vehicle warmed up and was restarted, the message eventually cleared but then there was a new transmission warning and the check engine light went on. After driving for a long commute, eventually all warnings disappeared. I personally know another 2023 Yukon owner who experienced the exact same message and braking loss under similarly cold conditions, which suggests this may be a broader safety issue affecting this model year. Because this involved a sudden safety-system activation combined with temporary brake loss, there was a real risk of being unable to stop the vehicle safely or avoid a collision. My vehicle is within the year range of GM’s brake-system software recall N242447990 (eBCM brake fluid loss detection issue), and it is unclear whether my case is related, but the symptoms point to a potential systemic braking or electronic brake control problem in the 2023 Yukon. This issue warrants investigation due to the combination of: • Hard brake pedal • Reduced braking performance • Speed-limiting safety warning • No prior diagnostic warning • Occurrence in very cold temperatures A sudden loss of braking ability is a serious safety defect.

I brought my 2023 Yukon in for the 6.2 GM inspection, and was told my engine was good, and the engine oil was changed. Approximately 3 weeks later the engine in the Yukon failed (seized) while I was towing my boat at 55mph, nearly causing an accident. I was able to pull the vehicle and boat to the side of the highway in a precarious location, which put me, my family and property in danger. There were no warning signs or messages on the dash, and no engine sounds. I believe GM's recall inspection and "preventative" oil change did nothing, and gave me a false sense that the truck was safe to tow with. I want to make sure the NHTSA is aware that the engine failed even after being screened with the recall. THIS FALSE REASURRANCE THAT THE TRUCK IS SAFE IS PUTTING THE PUBLIC AT RISK

I bought my 2023 Yukon Denali Ultimate on or around August 9 2023, and I bought it brand new. On May 28 2024, around 30k miles, I was on the highway and could no longer accelerate. I luckily got myself into the breakdown lane before my car shut down & lost power, ended up being towed to the closest dealership. After 18 days at the dealership, I finally had my car back with a "new engine". Fast forward to November 25, 2025, I was on the highway again, my dash lit up telling me to "press start". As i figured that was not a good idea while driving in the fast lane on the highway, I did not. in a panic I got myself over to the breakdown lane where my car turned off. This time (November 2025), I still had power, but no car turnover. After 6 days of my car sitting at the dealership, they finally had the time to look at the issue. The Dealership did the recall and got the car started, but the car still had a funny sound that the mechanics didn’t like , so they were waiting to hear back from higher up people as to what to do. Today I got the call that they will be replacing the engine for a second time and I will not have my car back until the first week of January. There were zero warning lamps, Zero Symptoms, nothing. I am Lucky that the Highway wasn’t too busy in that moment, because there were many 18 wheelers on the road that day, and one almost swerved into my car missing it by about two feet while my dead car sat in the breakdown lane. Yes I called the state police, Yes one trooper kindly pulled behind me to ask if I was safe and had a tow on the way. But that truck that nearly plowed into my dead car could have prevented me from picking my [XXX] [XXX] [XXX] daughters up from school, forever . To say that I am disgusted with GM, is an understatement. They’re risking lives. I should not fear for my life, my kids lives in a new, "safe" vehicle. No pun intended, but this is highway robbery. The headrest in the 2nd and 3rd rows of the 2023 GMC Yukon are not adjustable or removable, reference page 39 of an owners manual. This is a major problem when installing car seats into the vehicle. Because of the design, the headrest tilt forward and do not allow car seats to properly sit against the back of the seats. This causes a gap between the back of the car seats and the seat back of the car. I have 4 kids and 3 different types of car seats. All of the car seat manuals say that for proper installation the car seats must seat flush with the seat back of the car. Well this cannot happen because of the design of the vehicle. Therefore I cannot properly install car seats of any type into this vehicle. I am not the only consumer with this issue as it is all over the internet as well. I have called GM corporate and they are not willing to address this safety concern as it would require a design change. I have attached pictures of 2 of the seats which have a gap between 2-5 inches depending on the height the car seats are set at.

8/26/2025 I purchased the vehicle from Maguire in Syracuse, NY with open recalls. It is my understanding a dealership is required to have these fixed prior to selling a vehicle. After GMC completed 4 recalls recently, my drivers side seat lumbar support started automatically inflating to the highest setting, as well as the shoulder support. I could not deflate the shoulder support at all, but could deflate the lumbar support, but had to do it every single time I got in the vehicle. After they did additional recalls about 30 days later, the issue got worse and often times I'm unable to deflate the lumbar support at all, making driving extremely uncomfortable and what I would deem slightly unsafe given how inflated the seat is. The fact that the 2nd set of recalls made this situation worse makes me suspect it's related to module updates as opposed to my particular seat. Now I am on the hook for a $1200 fix. 2 different GMC locations did the recalls.....I do not blame either of them, I believe this is a defect GMC should look into asap given they have had similar seat issues in the past.
- 11/11/2025· ENGINE
The vehicle engine experienced a failure on the highway at very high speeds with no warnings leading up to this occurrence, same as many of the experiences of the customers with the 6.2L engines, which have been recalled for these defects. This GMC Yukon has the 5.3L engine, however, has the same defects as the 6.2L engine, excessive oil consumption and eventually engine failure. I am without a vehicle, with an extremely high car loan, and have to replace an engine in a two year old $75,000 vehicle. This should be covered by GM as it was a known issue and continues to be sold to unknowing customers. Furthermore, I am paying even more money to put another engine in this vehicle with the potential of having the same issues as the problem has not been corrected. This is deceptive and theft by GM in my opinion, and not safe to have engines failing in the highway with no warnings at all.

I was driving down 85 South bound at mile marker 16 the engine started messing up causing me and my family to be pushed over to the median. Once I was able to fight it over to the median it started smoking and i was afraid it was going to catch fire, so me and my family had to get out on the side of the interstate until help showed up and said it was safe to get back into the car. I had to use OnStar to get a tow truck, after the tow truck got there and i made it to the closest dealership to find out that the so called recall that the GM dealership fixed did not help the fact that the engine was messed up. So i tried to get a loaner or rental car for my family of 6 and they rented me a small SUV that I can not get all my kids into, I was told they did not have anything that bigger so now I am having to make multiple trips getting my kids to school. Plus they are saying it is going to be months before I can get my car back because the engine is on back order.

my 2023 GMC Yukon Denali (VIN: [XXX] ), which is included in Safety Recall N252494003 for a known defect affecting the L87 6.2L V8 engine. My vehicle was first inspected under warranty in December 2024 at Serra Traverse City Buick GMC due to a burning smell. I was informed at that time that no issues were found. I was later told by the former service manager that the technician who evaluated my vehicle during that visit was let go due to poor workmanship and lack of product knowledge. Since that time, on two separate oil changes — January 8, 2025 and May 9, 2025 — my engine was found completely out of oil, with no oil on the dipstick. The documentation had to be retroactively added after my request. This pattern raises serious concerns about oil consumption or internal engine damage consistent with the recall defect. The dealership declined to replace the engine or perform any further diagnostics beyond the standard recall inspection. I was advised to retrieve the vehicle. However, I remain deeply concerned about the long-term safety and reliability of this vehicle, especially given GM’s acknowledgment that this defect may lead to engine failure and loss of propulsion. I have made multiple efforts to escalate this issue through both the dealership and GM’s customer service line. I was advised by Service Advisor [XXX] to contact the GM representative for regional review. He directed me to file a bbb claim.. Both GM and bbb denied my claim, stating out of warranty. However, the dealer explained that my issue were documented under warranty and would be handled appropriately if the issue persisted. GM contacted me an offered a $4000 credit. Unfortunately the problem still persist. I’m 3000 miles from being due for an oil change and again have no oil on my dipstick. Electric trailer brake control module intermittently disabled trailer electric brakes while towing electric brake equipped trailers. This is the same issue addressed in GM service bulletin N232414840 which addressed a similar issue associated with GM pickup trucks. The loss of trailer brake utilization may create a safety hazard resulting from longer stopping distances. The factory control module was replaced with a redesigned module purchased from GM and the problem went away. I am of the opinion that the factory-provided module is a deficient design which warrants replacement by the vehicle manufacture.

Serious Safety Issue: While driving in the Rain, with the wipers on (actively working), randomly they will stop working. They will not work again until 10-15 minutes of time has passed. Any alternative setting makes no difference. During the 10-15 minutes of non-working wipers, there is nothing the driver can do…. Except wait. Depending where and when this occurs, this could be a deadly safety issue. I’ve checked the fuse; Turned off the rain auto-sensing feature – yet the vehicle is scary to drive in the rain, not knowing if / when the wipers may stop working again. During my ownership of this vehicle, this has happened three times; of course you must be driving during rain for the issue to occur.

I am filing this complaint regarding a catastrophic engine failure in my 2023 GMC Yukon Denali. I purchased the vehicle on January 30, 2026. Shortly after purchasing it, the vehicle suffered a catastrophic engine failure. The failure was severe enough that the engine had to be completely replaced. My vehicle was out of service for approximately 38 days as a result. This was not a minor mechanical issue or routine repair. It was a catastrophic failure of a major component in a relatively new vehicle. I am extremely concerned about the safety implications of an engine failing without warning. An unexpected engine failure can result in a sudden loss of power and the inability to safely accelerate or maneuver, particularly when traveling at highway speeds or in traffic. The fact that the engine required complete replacement raises serious concerns regarding the reliability and safety of this engine and whether other GMC and Chevrolet vehicles equipped with the same or related engine may be experiencing similar failures. I am requesting that NHTSA formally document this catastrophic engine failure and investigate whether it is part of a broader pattern of engine failures involving these GM vehicles. I have documentation showing the engine failure, dealership diagnosis, complete engine replacement, repair history, and the approximately 38 days the vehicle was out of service. I can provide these records upon request.

The check-engine light first appeared at approximately 42,000 miles. I dropped the vehicle off at the dealership on August 22 and picked it up on September 1. Within TWO MILES of leaving the dealership, the check-engine light came right back on. The dealership initially diagnosed the problem as a lifter and wiring-harness failure. They later determined that the #7 oil-lifter solenoid had an internal short, and the wiring harness was replaced because of damage related to that short. What I still don’t have is an answer to the most important question: What actually caused the failure? Based on everything I’ve read about the problems surrounding GM’s 6.2L engines, I’m concerned this is only the beginning. These are extremely expensive vehicles—with monthly payments that can rival a mortgage—and owners shouldn’t have to wonder whether the engine is going to become an ongoing problem at 42,000 miles. Extending the warranty is helpful, but it doesn’t address the underlying issue or restore confidence in the vehicle. If these 6.2L engines have a known systemic defect, GM should be required to provide a permanent solution—whether that means replacing the affected engines or offering owners a fair buyback. Consumers paid a premium price. They should be able to expect a premium vehicle that is dependable.

1.Description of the Incident: On 6/28/26, while driving my 2023 GMC Yukon Denali at approximately 70 miles per hour with cruise control engaged, I attempted to take an exit. As I approached the exit, the vehicle’s display indicated that it was not in gear, despite being in motion. This malfunction occurred in heavy traffic, and I narrowly avoided a collision with a semi-truck as I maneuvered towards the shoulder of the road. Once safely on the shoulder, I attempted to shift the vehicle into Drive and Park, but the system reported that the application was not available, rendering the vehicle inoperable. After several unsuccessful attempts to restart the vehicle, I lost all power, leading me to suspect a battery or alternator issue. 2. Component/System Failure: The component that failed is the engine, which was subsequently diagnosed as having failed by the dealership. The failed engine is available for inspection upon request. 3. Safety Risks: This incident posed significant safety risks, including: •Risk of Collision: The sudden loss of power at high speed nearly resulted in a collision with a semi-truck and other vehicles, putting my life and the lives of others at risk. •Stranded in Dangerous Conditions: Being stranded on the side of the road in 100°F weather further exacerbated the situation, creating a potential health hazard. 4. Confirmation of the Problem: The problem was confirmed by the dealership that serviced my vehicle. They conducted a thorough inspection and determined that the engine had failed. Independent verification of the engine failure is available upon request. 5. Inspections by Authorities: The vehicle has been inspected by the dealership; however, it has not been inspected by police or insurance representatives. Documentation from the dealership regarding the inspection and engine replacement is available. 6. Warning Signs Prior to Failure: Prior to this, there were no warning lamps, messages, or symptoms indicating a problem prior.

I pressed Start, accelerated for a few seconds, and again it shifted to Neutral and the screen said "Press Start Again." I repeated this process a few times and luckily made it to the end of our driveway. I could no longer move the car nor could I shift gears. When trying to shift gears, the screen said "Conditions Not Correct for Shift." I requested Roadside Assistance. There is no way to get this car into neutral so he had to manually pull it onto the tow truck bed. The nearest dealership diagnosed it as engine failure and replaced the engine. There were no warning signs prior to this incident.

The contact owns a 2023 GMC Yukon. The contact stated that while driving 65 MPH and depressing the accelerator pedal, the transmission shifted into neutral. The contact pulled over to the right side of the road and attempted to shift into drive; however, the failure persisted, and the vehicle lost power. No warning light was illuminated. The contact stated that the vehicle was towed to the dealer and was diagnosed with engine failure. The contact was informed that the engine needed to be replaced. The vehicle was serviced under NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V274000 (ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING); by the owner of the vehicle, but the remedy failed to fix the vehicle. The contact stated that the failure had occurred after the recall repair. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the dealer to replace the engine. The engine was replaced, and the vehicle was repaired. The failure mileage was 56,600.

I have a 2023 GMC Yukon that has been to the dealership 3 times in a weeks time, and as of today, 8/31/26 will be the fouth time. On 2 occasions, the SUV has entered Limp Mode while driving. I had the SUV towed for the first limp mode, and the dealer claimed it needed recalibration modules. I picked up the car and drove home eight miles, and the check engine light came on. I returned the next day for readings and TCM P0700, P1789, U0101, U220F. The dealer's solution was to recalibrate the gateway module this time. I drove the car about 20-ish miles, and at highway speeds on the freeway, I got limp mode again. Off to the dealership, having the SUV towed again. The dealership has claimed the electrionic car codes clear themselves and because of that they can't re-create the codes to find a solution. I am scared to drive my SUV, I do not feel safe in it let alone my children.

Recall notice received, went to dealer to have inspected and was told it passed the recall inspection. Oil changed from 0w20 to 0w40. Motor locked up less than 3000 miles later. My wife was 2 hours from home on the interstate on a Saturday night. Was forced to the left shoulder of the road pinned between concrete dividers and the fast lane. Had to wait 2 hours for a tow truck, $500 later the Yukon was delivered back to our driveway. Mind you, the electronic transmission can’t be shifted so it was dragged on and off a rollback in park 4 times. Dealer had it towed to their shop where they discovered the blown motor. 2 months later the replacement motor was installed.

My vehicle previously experienced engine problems severe enough that the engine was replaced. Despite the engine replacement, the vehicle is continuing to experience an engine misfire, and the check-engine light has been flashing. A flashing check-engine light and active misfire are a serious safety concern because the vehicle may experience rough running, reduced power, hesitation, or potential loss of power while driving. The fact that the misfire continues after an engine replacement raises concerns that the underlying problem was not resolved or that another component or system is malfunctioning. The exact cause of the current misfire is UNKNOWN at this time. The vehicle and/or affected components are available for inspection upon request.

Recall issued in April states that the Engine could experience a catastrophic failure and needs to be inspected for possible replacement. At this time (8-30-25) they are not allowing the dealers to perform these inspections. Why can't they at least perform the inspection to see if in fact the Engine will not need to be replaced? They are being irresponsible with their approach to this issue.

we brought my 2023 gmc yukon into Parks GMC in greenville sc on july 26, 2025 for the engine recall that we received a letter from. We left it as we were going on vacation for the week and picked it up the following saturday august 2nd. the next week my engine light started lighting up and my husband contacted the dealership and we were asked to bring it back in. We did and were told that we now had a bad Telematics Communication Interface Control Module that was causing my engine light to come on and that we were going to have to pay $600.00 out of our pocket to have this repaired. After researching we found that this is a VERY common and widespread problem with a lot of owners right after they bring their vehicles in to be serviced. We declined the repair, one because they did not have the part in stock as that apparently is also a big problem of not being able to get the part in stock and two because we feel like we should not have to pay to have this part replaced as it appears to be a widespread issue that is happening. The dealership also charged me $182 for diagnostic charges that I once again feel like we should not have had ton pay. Please advise us asap. our contact info is [XXX] [XXX] & [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

At approximately 58,565 miles, my 2023 GMC Yukon Denali equipped with the 6.2L L87 V8 experienced an internal engine failure. The vehicle had previously completed the applicable L87 engine recall remedy earlier in 2026. The vehicle developed a thumping noise and was inspected by an authorized GMC dealership. The dealer confirmed metal contamination in the engine oil and diagnosed a main thrust bearing failure. The condition was confirmed by the dealer and required complete engine replacement rather than a minor repair. The vehicle was out of service for approximately 31 days while the engine replacement was completed. GM authorized and covered installation of a complete factory replacement engine. The failed engine is available for inspection if requested. The failure created a significant safety concern because an internal engine failure of this type can result in loss of motive power while driving, potentially creating a hazard for the occupants and other motorists. I am aware that NHTSA is currently investigating L87 engine failures occurring after recall remedies. I am submitting this complaint because my vehicle experienced a documented internal engine failure after the vehicle had already received the applicable recall remedy and subsequently required a complete engine replacement. The replacement engine has not currently failed, and I am not reporting a failure of the replacement engine. However, I am concerned about the effectiveness of the remedy and whether the replacement engine incorporates updated or revised components intended to address the underlying failure condition. I have requested documentation from the dealership regarding the exact replacement engine assembly and whether it incorporates engineering or production changes related to the original bearing failure. That information has not yet been provided. No crash or injury occurred as a result of this failure.

The powertrain malfunctioned and it at the dealership for an engine replacement. The vehicle lost propulsion on a 2-lane road while passing another vehicle. It cut off completely and started to decelerate. There was no warning or indication that this would happen and was dangerous in that I was accelerating to pass another vehicle when the event occurred. I was able to safely pull into a driveway, but the vehicle would not crank as it could not detect what gear it should be in. It was towed to a GMC dealership locally who confirmed 2 days later that the engine would have to be replaced. It is under warranty and will take 3-4 weeks.

My 2023 GMC Yukon AT4 with the 6.2L V8 has experienced multiple serious engine-related failures. The original engine previously was making a whining / knocking noise, then seized and required complete engine replacement under a GM recall/campaign involving 6.2L engine failures. The replacement engine later developed a lifter/valvetrain failure and required lifter replacement. The vehicle is now again exhibiting a pronounced rhythmic mechanical knocking/tapping noise, primarily during cold starts after sitting for an extended period. The noise occurs on most cold starts and has been documented in multiple videos. The vehicle is currently at a GMC dealership for inspection. I provided the dealer with several videos clearly demonstrating the noise. The dealer has stated that it has not yet been able to reproduce the condition and is attempting additional cold-start testing. The exact cause is currently UNKNOWN. No consistent warning lights or dashboard messages have appeared with the current knocking condition. My concern is that this vehicle has already experienced a catastrophic engine seizure, followed by internal valvetrain/lifter failure in the replacement engine, and is now again exhibiting abnormal mechanical engine noise. I am concerned this may indicate another developing internal engine failure that could potentially result in engine seizure or sudden loss of power while driving, including at highway speeds or in traffic. The vehicle and engine remain available for inspection, and multiple video recordings of the recurring cold-start knocking are available.

On August 22, 2026, I was driving my 2023 GMC Yukon Denali with the 6.2L V8 at highway speed when the vehicle began struggling to maintain power while climbing a hill. The engine then developed a noticeable knocking sound. Shortly afterward, the engine shut off completely while the vehicle was moving, causing a sudden loss of propulsion. I was able to bring the vehicle to a stop, but the engine would not restart. The electronic transmission also would not shift into Neutral and displayed a message indicating that the conditions required to shift were not met. Because the vehicle could not be shifted out of Park, the towing company had difficulty loading and unloading the vehicle. The failure occurred during normal highway driving and created a significant safety concern because the engine shut down without warning while the vehicle was in motion. I am aware of NHTSA Recall 25V-274 / GM Recall N252494000 involving certain GM vehicles equipped with the 6.2L L87 engine, as well as NHTSA Engineering Analysis EA25-007 concerning engine failures and loss of propulsion. At the time of this complaint, the dealership has not yet confirmed the specific mechanical cause of my vehicle’s failure. The vehicle is being taken to an authorized GMC dealership for diagnosis. I am submitting this complaint because of the sudden engine failure and loss of propulsion while traveling on a highway.

While driving down [XXX] in [XXX] engine had a major failure causing the loss of power and control of the vehicle going interstate speed. Luckily no accidents and no injuries or fatalities. All the these vehicles using the 6.2L engines made by GM should be bought back by GM at full purchase price. A few months ago my vehicle underwent the recall procedure and passed. So the recall process is incomplete and shows no real problem solving procedures, These vehicles are a ticking time bomb to all the owners and fellow motorists. This car was subject to the GM Recall N2524940000 – This is related to engine failure in the vehicle. My Yukon Denali received the recall service on XXX at Liberty Buick GMC in XXX. It was determined that my engine would not fail and the car needed the heavier oil and a new oil filter. The car also received a 10 year warranty on the engine as part of the recall. XXX We were traveling down XXX Southbound on XXX headed to Atlanta to see family for Easter Break. My wife, son CJ (Age -XXX), XXX (XXX), and our English Cream Golden Retriever , Goose. We were traveling at 75 MPH on cruise control when a car came out in front of me. The car slowed down to adjust for the car moving out in front of us and then the engine completely shut-off and the car shifted into neutral. The car electronics turned off briefly, then came back on, with the dashboard saying “Push Start to turn on”. I hit the start button and nothing happens, I pushed the button several more times and still nothing happened. This occurred between 1:45 - 2:00 At this point, I begin to move into the right lane as we are approaching Exit XXX in [XXX]. I pull off on the exit, go about half way down and pull to the side, stopping the car. I place the car into Park and then push start on the car, nothing happens. I attempt to do this for about 5 Minutes and the engine still will not start and the car will not shut off completely (All electronics are still working). There were no warning signs that the vehicle would fail. The vehicle was inspected by GMC who determined that the engine had failed and would require full replacement. I have a 2023 GMC Yukon AT4. The OnStar/telematics system stopped working. The blue OnStar button does not function and the vehicle no longer communicates with the myGMC app, resulting in loss of connected and OnStar services. A GMC dealership diagnosed a failed OnStar/telematics module and advised that the module must be replaced at a cost of approximately $1,200. I am concerned because this failure affects access to OnStar communication and emergency-related services. I have found reports from other GM owners describing similar telematics/OnStar module failures, and GM has issued service information addressing K73 telematics-module communication faults. I have also opened a case with GMC Customer Assistance. I am reporting this because I believe the repeated failure of a system used for emergency communication warrants investigation.

1. First incident While driving, the brakes failed and the entire infotainment/tablet system locked up. This presented a severe safety risk to my family and others on the road. The vehicle had to be towed to DEALER where I was told that “no problems were found.” I documented the incident with photos and videos showing the warning messages and system status. 2. Second incident Approximately one week ago, after shutting off the vehicle, a “steering wheel lock” warning appeared and the truck became completely disabled. Even with jumper cables, it would not start. The vehicle had to be flatbed towed to DEALER. I again documented the incident with photos and videos showing the warnings.
