  • 12/30/2022· VISIBILITY/WIPER

The wipers on low mode stop working after about 30 seconds, requiring to turn off/on again or try the higher wiper speed. On a rainy day, when the wipers stopped there was near zero visibility. There were now warning lights when they stopped working. I see many other 2023 Ford Bronco report similar issues online; however I see no responses or issue acknowledgement from Ford. It is very scary when the wipers stop; especially during a moderate or heavy rain event. My Bronco was purchased week 3 December 2022 and the problem happened during my first rain event a few days after purchase.

  • 12/29/2023· POWER TRAIN

Rotational scraping noise from manual transmission, especially when cold and neutral (1st and 2nd gear). Ford Dealer at Autonation Ford Union City, Georgia stated that they would need to replace the 5th and 6th synchronizer rings to resolve this issue. Bought certified used from Capitol Ford in Charlotte, NC with 8213 miles, hear noises but it was soft, but the more I drove the louder it got. Now Bronco has 9064 miles. No accidents, no off-roading, and this seems like a safety issue from the manufacturer because the shifting is difficult.

  • 12/25/2025· SUSPENSION,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE

My vehicle has both cracked and leaking rear shocks as well as issues with the rearview camera and infotainment system. I have gone through two Ford Dealerships to remedy this issue and was told parts are on back order. I attempted to remedy this issue when I first received notification that parts were available in August 2025. When I drive, I can feel the suspension is not providing support and continued use will cause other issues with the vehicle that may not be covered under warranty or the recall. My vehicle will also trigger the collision avoidance feature when there is physical trigger. This has caused my brakes to lock up in traffic.

  • 12/17/2025· ENGINE

Check engine light stayed on, constant. Code run showed cylinder 4 misfire. Bronco still under warranty so took to dealership. Mechanic said coolant was inside cylinder so he requested recommended remedy from Ford and would probably be engine replacement.

Wireless charging pad not working correctly. It is causing my phone to overheat to the point it is uncomfortable to hold in your hand.

  • 12/10/2023· STRUCTURE,VISIBILITY/WIPER

The windshield was faulty upon delivery of our new 2 door Ford Bronco. Every time it rains, water pours inside the vehicle through the gaps in the windshield sealant. The water flows through the passenger side A-pillar, and comes out of the airbags, as well as the defrost vents, then flowing down the side of the dashboard, and landing on the front passenger floorboard. The service department had to replace the entire front passenger side A-pillar during our most recent visit. The windshield is a major structural component of a vehicle, and our dealership service department confirmed that our faulty windshield puts our safety and the safety of our passengers in danger of experiencing serious injury when the windshield sealant completely fails. We have been to the dealership twice for the water intrusion caused by the faulty windshield. The Ford service department staff said Ford has previously issued a recall for this exact issue, but the recall is not for our specific model, so the Ford service department was not able to replace our faulty windshield under warranty. The inability of the dealership to replace our faulty windshield under warranty forced us to make an insurance claim and replace the windshield on our own. Upon installing the new OEM windshield, the technician pointed out to us in person where the faulty windshield issue stemmed from. It is obviously clear that Ford never tested our vehicle's windshield sealant gaps before they shipped it out for delivery. If they did not test our windshield structure, there could be many other 2023 Ford Bronco 2 door models delivered with faulty windshields. NOTE: We have never taken our vehicle to any kind of car wash, as the owner's manual is very clear about avoiding these. We have also never removed any of the roof panels. Process of elimination removes both of these situations as secondary causes for water intrusion.

  • 12/05/2023· VISIBILITY/WIPER

While driving at multiple different speeds in the rain and snow, the wiper blades on the vehicle slow down on their own to an intermittent speed without driver input. This slowing of the wiper blades causes the driver to lose visibility while driving, creating a safety hazard on the road. This issue has occurred numerous times when the wiper blades are set to the highest speed. After about one minute, the wiper blades start to slow down and eventually reach a stop/start speed where the blades only wipe every 5-10 seconds. To remedy this, the driver has to turn the wiper blades off and turn them back on again to get the wiper blades going again at the higher rate of speed. However, this only lasts for a short period of time (about one minute) and then the wiper blades slow down again on their own. The driver has to keep repeating this to be able to maintain visibility while driving in rain and snow conditions. This causes the driver to have to take a hand off of the steering wheel in inclement weather to keep adjusting the wiper blade speed. This issue has not yet been taken to a dealership for inspection, but this issue has been referenced in several online forums for this particular vehicle. There were no warning lamps or messages that appeared on the vehicle. In fact, in online forums, other Bronco customers have stated that Ford says this is how the wipers are supposed to operate.

  • 12/02/2025· EXTERIOR LIGHTING

On November 30th, 2025 I drove southbound from Milwaukee to Chicago, leaving at approximately 5:30 a.m., on I-41. There was a winter storm warning in effect. Approximately every twenty miles I needed to stop and deice my headlights as light output had diminished to almost zero, resulting in extremely dangerous visibility. I have experienced similar problems in Manitoba and western Minnesota. In these areas, there is often more than fifteen miles before you can exit the highway or find a safe place to pull over. It is not possible to get this problem diagnosed by a dealer. However, it is a common complaint among Bronco (and Jeep) owners. The combination of an upright grill and the low heat output of LED lighting quickly render headlights useless in snowy or icing conditions. No warnings appear; light output simply quickly drops to almost nothing.

  • 12/01/2023· VISIBILITY/WIPER

Received Truck end of Dec 2022, immediately noticed that when it rains, the wipers at a certain speed have a glitch that suddenly stops and starts at a lower speed. I have video recording and took it to dealer. Dealer told me that it is a feature so the motor does not overheat. It made no sense because I could activate the higher speed and no problem with that one. First time it happened, was heavy rain at night while changing lanes and could have ended in an accident if there was more cars on the freeway. In short, dealer dismissed my concern even though I provided video of the issue.

  • 12/01/2023· VISIBILITY/WIPER

My 2023 Ford Bronco has these "Advanced" wipers that automatically stop wiping when they think the windshield is dry or think the wiper motor may be damaged. When driving in heavy rain and you put the wipers on High (or even Low), they automatically switch to Intermittent after about 1 minute. They actually stop wiping at a high speed and pause between wipes for several seconds. In order to keep the wipers going in heavy, blinding rain you have to keep switching the wipers from Low to High to keep them moving. This is a safety hazard since you honestly cannot see though the windshield during heavy rain. After reading the Manual it appears this is a "feature" of the new Ford Bronco. This is a major safety issue and Ford should be required to fix the wiper motor on these vehicles.

  • 11/30/2023· ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,UNKNOWN OR OTHER

Since I took delivery of my 2023 Ford Bronco on August 1, 2023 I have not been able to connect to the FordPass (get updates, etc..). Dealer replaced the Gateway Module and has not been able to load software onto the module. The Gateway Module is a "hub" that routes signal to major components of the vehicle (safety, body control, telematics, power train, etc..). Since replacing the Gateway Module, Ford has been unable to get the software to load properly. This issue has manifested itself in not only the Bronco, but the F-150 and Bronco Sport as well. My vehicle has been in dealership for this fix for over 10 weeks. Given this is a critical component to vehicle safety and I have seen on Bronco and F150 forums over 50 cases of this I believe someone needs to question the ability of Ford to service such a critical component of vehicle safety.

  • 11/27/2024· SERVICE BRAKES

A little over 10000 miles, the "Check Brake System" and "Parking" Brake Lights came on after starting the vehicle. Both Ford and the dealership were contacted and was advised that the coding through the system showed brake fluid level low with possible indication of brake fluid leaking. I asked if the vehicle was safe to drive and neither Ford or the dealership would say either way. The vehicle was taken to the dealership. For the first visit, the vehicle was at the dealership for an entire day and was told by the service advisor there wasn't anything wrong and to take it home. After leaving the dealership, the lights came on again. I took my vehicle to the dealership a second time and it sat there for another two days. Upon picking up my vehicle on the 2nd visit, I was told that the brake fluid level switch needed to be replaced and was resolved. The next day, the light comes on once again while driving. I called the dealership to talk to a service manager and was advised she would have an experienced technician dedicate their time to try and resolve the issue. The vehicle was at dealership for two days and upon pickup of the vehicle was told that the issue was due to an air bubble in the brake line and issue was resolved. I requested that the vehicle be test driven before pickup. Upon five minutes into my drive home, the lights come on once again. I've taken my vehicle to the dealership 3 times now and the dealership has had it for about 6 days during that time without resolution. I've contacted Ford customer service and the representative advised the issue would be documented, but there were currently no recalls for this issue. I've communicated with several other owners of the same vehicle experiencing the same issue without resolution. The lights are accompanied by a loud beeping noise and come on and off constantly making it a distraction when driving, and I am unable to tell if the parking brake is actually on or off since the light is constantly lit.

  • 11/22/2023· ENGINE

Engine service light came on indicating reduced power/power failure. Called Ford dealership and they said to bring it in asap. After diagnosis the Ford dealership said there was a problem with the wastegate. The dealership has no eta on when the part will be available.

  • 11/18/2024· ENGINE

My vehicle has the 2.7L V6 Ecoboost engine. This engine apparently has a design defect that results in repeated cam phaser failure. My engine recently had cam phaser failure and I had them replaced. A week later I was driving at speed on a highway when my engine completely died. I had to pull to the side of the road and could not restart my engine. I ended up being towed to a dealership and am awaiting diagnosis.

  • 11/18/2024· ENGINE

My engine has had a knocking problem since 3000 miles. Everytime I take it to Ford they agreed it has a knock but won't fix the problem stating it's normal and some engine knock more than others. The engine knocks at low rpm when stepping on the accelerator then smooths out about 1500 to 2000 rpm. One mechanic said it's an issue but they won't fix it unless it has a catastrophic failure this is unacceptable to me as they just want the vehicle to fall out of warranty when the engine finally gives way and doesn't turn on anymore. There are multiple Ford vehicles that have this issue and Ford does not seem to look into it and fix it please investigate the issues with knocking on all the Ford vehicles with the EcoBoost engines.

  • 11/15/2023· STRUCTURE

The hardtop is failing in a critical mounting point location. Stress cracks are forming on the exterior of the hardtop directly parallel to the interior mounting bolts. The vehicle has 1,500 miles. The risk of the hardtop failing to remain attached to the vehicle on the road due to structural cracks is the safety concern. For structural cracks to occur within the first 1,500 miles does not imply future safety of passengers or others on the road. The problem has been documented by a local Ford dealer that deemed this is not a warrantable condition. The cracks began to appear before the first 1,000 miles of ownership. This vehicle was purchased new and is 5 months old. There were no other symptoms prior to the failure. With how quickly the cracks appeared the concern is sudden and imminent failure while driving.

Two different times, my brakes have lost power. Both times were at slower speeds while coasting. The first time a car pulled out in front of me (about 50 feet ahead) and even though I was only going about 15 miles per hour I was barely able to stop in time. When I hit the brake pedal it felt rock hard (like when you pump the brakes with the engine off). The pedal did not go to the floor or anything like that. It stayed high in the stroke. No ABS sensation or warning lights. The next time I hit the brakes they worked normally. I couldn't reproduce the problem until about 2 months later I was leaving work and was pulling up the street at about 5 miles per hour when it did the same thing. It was almost flat ground and It was all I could do to press the brake pedal hard enough to stop in time. The symptoms were the same as the first time. The moment I hit the brake pedal again, all was normal. The weather was warm both times. The dealer cannot reproduce the problem

The contact owns a 2023 Ford Bronco. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V273000 (Back Over Prevention), and the vehicle was taken to the dealer for the recall repair. The dealer replaced the rearview camera, but the rearview camera software update could not be completed. The dealer replaced the rearview camera a second time; however, the issue persisted. The dealer informed the contact that the software update might have failed due to the aftermarket 2-inch lift that was performed on the vehicle. The contact was advised that a fee would be charged for the lift removal and was informed that the lift removal might not correct the issue. The contact stated that the aftermarket 2-inch lift was a replication of the Sasquatch, 2-3" Lift package that the manufacturer offered. The recall repair was not completed. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue, but no assistance was provided. The contact had not experienced a failure.

We installed new tires and wheels on our vehicle and it immediately started having engine problems and the check engine light comes on. We took it to the dealer and after several days back and forth Ford told the deal that it's a known problem with the 2.3L version of the Ford Bronco however they had no fix and no timeline to fix the problem. This creates a safety hazard as the engine program can't be updated and could cause damage to the engine and cause it to fail. The dealer then stated that they could not return the vehicle to us with the new tires and wheels we purchased and we had to put our old tires and wheels on. We counted on the old tires for a spare since we already blew one tire out. So in addition to a safety hazard we are currently out $2,500 we spent on new tires and wheels, and now have to purchase another tire of the exact same original size to have a spare, costing us another $300.

The front flares at highway speeds blow off-Ford has known about this issue and refuses to acknowledge this issue that is very well documented on the Ford Bronco Raptor forums. The do not warranty these even though there is only a few thousand miles, they will not even give a reason why they deny the warranty. This is a safety issue as they are only held on with a few clips. these are oversize flares and the wind from hwy speeds causes the flimsy clips to break making the oversized tire flares to fly off

Front pinion seal leak is detected at where the front drive shaft meets the front differential. Ford attempted to fix it with a pinion seal replacement and the leak is still unresolved, second attempt was done by changing the front differential fluid which also did not resolve the issue. This issue is fairly common amongst bronco owners on forums and will be hard to come to the users’ attention unless the user checks under the vehicle so the problem may be more widespread than reported. The undetected loss of front differential fluid may cause overheating of the front differential over time as the fluid levels become low and potentially cause a lockup at high speed when the vehicle is used in 4A AWD mode. The leak can also be a fire hazard.

  • 09/09/2023· VISIBILITY/WIPER

My 2023 Ford Bronco has these "Advanced" wipers that automatically stop wiping when they think the windshield is dry or think the wiper motor may be damaged. When driving in heavy rain and you put the wipers on High (or even Low), they automatically switch to Intermittent after about 1 minute. They actually stop wiping at a high speed and pause between wipes for several seconds. In order to keep the wipers going in heavy, blinding rain you have to keep switching the wipers from Low to High to keep them moving. This is a safety hazard since you honestly cannot see through the windshield during heavy rain. I have spoken to many Bronco owners and seen a thread on online message boards that everyone has the same issue. After reading the Manual it appears this is a "feature" of the new Ford Bronco. This is a significant safety issue and Ford should be required to fix the wiper motor on these vehicles. The problem happens on all of the model years - 2021 - 2023.

I have a 2.7l V6 Bronco with an automatic transmission. There is a steep downhill road (22% grade) a couple blocks from my house that ends at a stop sign for a major cross street. I apply the brake pedal to slow down for the stop sign and the Bronco behaves normally and comes to a full stop, but then with no change in brake pedal pressure by me nor any pedal feedback, i notice the Bronco starts creeping forward a few feet, then abruptly stops again. When the Bronco starts creeping downhill and then abruptly stops again, there is no brake pedal feedback or movement, and the engine does not change RPM. The only sound I hear is something that sounds like service brakes releasing pressure then suddenly reapplying full pressure. I compensate by stopping early, so I don’t drift into the intersection, or a vehicle in front of me, or pedestrian. It can startle any pedestrian that starts to cross in front of my “stopped” Bronco and it suddenly starts creeping down on them. I have noticed this for months but have not taken it to a dealer for resolution yet. The problem appears to not happen after I have been driving for a few minutes. Because this is a problem that occurs on hills in the first few minutes of driving, it likely will be hard to demonstrate to a dealership for diagnosis because there are no hills near my local Ford dealership. The incident occurrence date entered below ([XXX]) is just today’s date - this problem has been present for many months, if not since new. There are reports of Ford Broncos rolling forward under braking, after a full stop. This occurs most often on a hill. My rear shocks have been corroding on the external resevior attached to the lower shock body and is rusting really bad in the exact place where the manufacturer of this vehicle says that it's breaking down ( rusting ) at. I called the dealership and the service department and they REALLY gave me the impression that they really don't want to repair my vehicle and is why I'm filling this report with NHTSA . I want the dealership of the manufacturer to replace my rear shocks with new shocks and not put RTV sealant and a retention clamp on this external resevior as stated as one of the remedies the manufacturer has listed in a letter sent out to all of it's dealerships about the manufacturers recall on the rear shocks . In the manufacturer's letter it does state that one of the remedies is replacing the shocks but ONLY if the shocks are leaking oil from the shock resevior/ flange damper area . The corrosion on my shocks are bad . The manufacturer is not SERIOIS about fixing this problem and is why I trust NHTSA to help me and thank you NHTSA .

While 400 miles from home on vacation, driving in rain, the windshield wipers quit working. As rain picked up from a sprinkle to a more steady rain, I increased the wiper speed. After adjusting a time or two to match the rain coming down, the wipers stopped in the up position. When I change the speeds on the wiper control nothing happens, and it also will not spray washer fluid for the front windshield. The rear wiper and fluid spray work as expected. I checked the fuse identified in the manual, and it looks good. I even swapped the fuse with the rear wiper fuse, and the front ones still do not work. The two dealerships in the area are not able to do much, so I'm facing a 6.5 hour drive home with rain in the forecast and no working windshield wipers on a 1.5 year old vehicle.

I am paid for a vehicle that I can't use because of Ford's Delay. I am hoping you all as a government agency will give back some feedback and push Ford to fix the issue a bit more timely.
