  The contact owns a 2023 Chevrolet Trailblazer. The contact stated that while driving at 68 MPH, the vehicle stalled. The message "Shift to Park" was displayed. The contact managed to pull over to the shoulder of the road, where the contact attempted to restart the vehicle; however, the vehicle failed to restart. The vehicle was towed to a local dealer, where it remained for further investigation. In addition, the contact stated that the vehicle was previously taken to the same local dealer on several occasions. The dealer had previously replaced the battery and the turbo boost. Additionally, the dealer had performed an unknown software update and other unknown repairs. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 44,962.

  Exhaust fell off under normal operating conditions. Dealership (Dekalb Sycamore Chevrolet- Sycamore Illinois) stated this has been a common issue with this year group of Chevrolet Trailblazer SUVs. Dealership stated the bolts/exhaust pipe junction between the catalytic converter and pipe that goes to the muffler rusts through and the entire exhaust system from the cat back falls out of the undercarriage of the vehicle, which is what happened here.

  1-Cracked Coil caused breakdown and gas flooded engine on a road trip 109mi from home, stranded, no accommodations for replacement vehicle during service-May 12-19, 2023 2-Faulty Purge Solenoid Valve-December 4, 2023, serviced and repaired December 7, 2023 3-Engine light same code for evap leak that was repaired, waiting on contact for repair December 9,2023. The first issue caused major safety concerns for myself and my partner, stranded on the side of the highway over 100 miles from home. No police or insurance reports. This will be the 3rd time the vehicle will be serviced for engine repair in the 7 months that it's been driven.

The dealership has reviewed it multiple times and state they do not know what is causing it or how to fix it. The last time the tech stated there is nothing they can do. Now the brakes aren't performing as well as they did and it is concerning.

  I purchased a 2023 trailblazer in February. And had noticed that the doors hold water in the front of the doors. After a rain or car washing the doors will drain when opened. But after a rain or washing and you leave the doors closed even a couple days later then open the doors water will drain out of each front hole on each door. I took it back to the dealership and the washed it and said that the doors drain while they are open. So I contacted Chevrolet main office and they asked me to take it back to the dealership. So I did while I was walking to the door a salesman came out and I asked him to open the doors on a 2023 trailblazer setting in front of the store. It had rained earlier that day and we watched water leaking out of all the doors. So I asked him to get a couple more trailblazer keys to other ones on the lot and they all leaked water out of the doors. I spoke to the customer service person and he said another owner of the 2023 trailblazer had came in with the same complaint. I spoke again to the main office of Chevrolet and he told me to come here and file a complaint. Since this is a engineering flaw design. So I am hoping to find out what can be done to fix this issue? And what do I do now?

  I was in a collision. Traveling a four lane highway during daylight ours with no in-climate weather. The car in front of a line of approximately 4 cars missed their exit and slammed on his breaks to make a right turn from the driving lane. The line of cars in front of me stopped and/or left the roadway to avoid a collision. I was unable to stop in time and had nowhere to go and I rear-ended the car in front of me, which was fully stopped in the lane. According to my dash camera my speed on Impact was approximately 45 mph. No front end collision warning alarms went off. No automatic breaking occurred. No airbag deployed. None of the vehicle safety and anti collision measures performed as I had expected. $10,000 worth of damage to my car alone.

  The contact owns a 2023 Chevrolet Trailblazer. The contact stated that after shifting into park(P), there was an abnormal beeping sound coming from the vehicle. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact shifted into neutral(N) and then back into park(P) to stop the beeping sound. The contact stated that while the vehicle was shut off and in park(P); the gear shifter independently shifted out of park(P) into reverse(R). The vehicle did not move backwards; however, the contact was able to shift back to the park(P) without further failures. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, and the contact was provided with the cost for a diagnostic test. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure, despite multiple attempts for assistance. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 40,000.

  1/ while at the stop site, the car suddenly stopped and went black. Stereo turn off and screen went black. 2/ sometime I can’t unlock the car from inside. The lock works but not the unlock button. While backing or stopping there is a high noise that seems like I have a bad brake , took it to the dealership and they said the brake is good but they can’t figure out where the noise coming from. I took the car to the dealership 3 times in 1 month since the problem started and they still can not fix it.

  Repeat issues with the transmission, ongoing issue for about two months. Initially experienced the vehicle not shifting in drive or reverse, which was resolved in drive. The issue persists when in reverse, where I will put it in gear but it will rev without moving, as if the vehicle is in neutral . The dealership has replaced the valve body three times and is now awaiting other parts to attempt to resolve the issue.

  I have a 2023 trailblazer rs bought brand new. Currently has 12776 miles on it and for atleast the last 5000 miles I've noticed the breaks squeeling. Esp when I'm going slow speeds. I first thought maybe it was the weather or something. Moisture..whatever because this car is so new I just brushed it off. But it has progressively gotten worse and louder. Which is super frustrating when I'm picking my kids up in the pick up line and my car sounds 15+ years old when I'm rolling through and have to keep breaking. Squeeling in mine and everyone else's ear. I want this looked into a fixed. I had 2 kias before this that the engines blew from recalls they didn't wanna fix until it was to late. I'm a single mom who pays way to much to have a nice reliable car for there to be having issues already. I will be bringing it up to the dealership at my upcoming oil change. I refuse to be worried about the safety or reliability of this expensive new car..hauling my kids around.

  The vehicle almost caused me to collide with another vehicle when I was trying to get into right lane it kept pushing back into left fast lane, this happened throughout the drive to and from Northern California. car got horrible gas mileage, wasn’t operating correctly at times, my radio screen scrambling, going blank, stop working, static cracking sounds coming out. Every time I started the car it would not connect to iphone by any means. ignition button wouldn’t turn off, I had to push numerous times to turn off. There was an update for the lane departure issue, the radio issue there is no current fix as per manufacturer the service advisor informed me. I have looked up online recalls and see that there are many manufacturer correspondence for problems with this vehicle.Today there’s knocking coming from engine like there’s something wrong with lifters also burning smell inside vehicle.

  Steering warning light comes on while driving and steering locks up. Dealer inspected the vehicle and states the steering unit did pull a code, however is not serviceable and will need replaced. I do not feel safe driving the vehicle as the steering locks up and cause a serious accident. The dealer advised it may take several weeks for the parts to arrive. I am reading other reports of Trailblazer owners facing the same service issue. I am requesting a rental car from GM and/or the dealer until my car is fixed, however they told me I have to pay out of pocket myself. I am disgusted this brand new car is facing such a serious safety issue. This needs investigated ASAP before someone is killed on the highway.

  Brakes have been squeaking since about 2,000 miles at lower speeds (parking, drive-thru, stop-and-go street traffic, etc.). Took my car into the dealership at around 7,000 miles. Dealer acknowledged the issue and says that it's due to the material that the brakes are made of. They also stated that Chevy is aware, but isn't doing anything to correct the issue. The dealership did nothing to help me. Now I'm at around 9,000 miles and the squeaking is happening at all speeds whenever I'm braking. It also sounds like there's metal grinding along with the constant squeaking.

  When I shift my vehicle into park and hit the button to shut it off, a "shift to park" message appears on the DIC screen. I then am required to start my vehicle again, shift into gear, and then put it back into park and attempt to shut the vehicle off again. It has taken me up to 15 minutes to be able to get it to recognize that my vehicle is in park and for the message to not pop up. If I get out of the car while the message is still on the DIC screen, I cannot lock my vehicle and it drains the battery. I contacted my local Chevrolet dealer and they are saying that although this is a known issue which has had more than one GM Service Bulletin on this issue which includes my year and model, there is not an actual recall for this, so I have to pay out of pocket, because my bumper to bumper warranty expired at 36,000 miles and I am currently just shy of 39,000 miles. Of note, there is also a class action lawsuit for this exact issue so I am confused as to why a recall would not have been issued, or why it would not still be covered despite the expired bumper to bumper warranty.

  Onstar module that is supposed to working in case of a crash or another emergency stopped working back in November 2024. It also is attached to other operations such as the vehicles microphone. I took it to the dealership Chevrolet said they would pay half of the replacement. My vehicle is not the only one. There is a forum online and other GM vehicles are having the same issue.

  While driving to work last Thursday morning suddenly my 2023 Trailblazer let out a sorta growl and then a dragging noise thankfully I was able to get over and stop on the shoulder only to discover that my tail pipe was dragging from just after the catalytic converter as the bolts apparently sheared off leaving only the head of the bolts intact. Lucky for me I there wasn’t major damage. I did however have to get my vehicle towed and have the bolt heads cut off in order to have the exhaust fixed

  at around 42,000 miles my Trailblazer displayed a message that engine power had been reduced and the check engine light came on. I took it to my dealer who diagnosed as a problem with the engine turbo fixed it and returned the car to me. I drove for 2 weeks and the same thing happened. I traded it in on an Equinox after the service manager said the turbo was a know issued. I did not want to be driving on the interstate with reduced power. Also I took a financial hit on the trade.

The contact stated that his wife needed to anticipate the stopping distance to apply enough force to the brake pedal while stopping the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer on several occasions, but the technicians continuously stated that there was no failure with the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic and was diagnosed with an inoperable brake master cylinder. The contact was informed that the brake master cylinder needed to be replaced. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer with the information; however, the dealer stated that the brake master cylinder replacement was not necessary. The vehicle remained unrepaired.   The shift assembly is going bad and causing a Shift to Park error that GM is aware of. They have issued a Technical Service Bulletin about this exact part. The error code will cause the battery to run down leaving me stranded. The dealer has inspected the vehichle and ordered the necessary part to replace it. The vehicle has not been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others but is available to have an inspection done. There were no warning lamps for this other than the Shift to Park error showing on the display when the car has been turned off. These error messages started happening around August 1, 2026.

  I reported my first issue back in late 2024 of the brakes squealing they took my car in and resurface the rotors. It stopped squealing for about a few months and now we are in summer of 2025 and they are squealing again. I took my car to the dealership because they told me that my car would be under warranty for 30,000 miles with the brakes. First started when they told me that the guy that told me I would have a rental car waiting for me did not set me up for a rental car. I live 45 minutes to an hour away from the dealership. When I pulled into the garage, I could hear the squealing of my car. When I went up to the counter the guy told me he couldn’t hear anything. They then tried to tell me that I would have to take my car back home and call back in the morning to talk to the rep I was talking to in the service department as he had already left for the day along with his associate. I was determined that I was not leaving there without a rental car and my car to be looked. I finally went in on my own to find the gentleman who sold me the vehicle who I really do appreciate and have no issues with him(Keith Keys) he’s a very good sales person at Weber Chevrolet. As they were getting me a rental the guy from the service department pulled around with my car and asked me to get in. He then told me that he had fixed the issue by slamming on my brakes a few times and that it was OK for me to take it home. I then let him know that it was staying to be looked at and I was going to take the rental. The next day when I called the service rep, he stated that they were going to replace the front brakes and it would be available the following day to pick up. When I went to go pick up my vehicle and leave the parking lot I didn’t even get out of the parking space and it was still squealing. I went back in and they told me it was normal and I would have to call the service rep the following day I’m still waiting to hear. I have owned many Chevy’s to know breaks don’t do that

  My 2023 Chevrolet Trailblazer is about 3 months old and it’s been making squeaky noises when I break. The squeaky sound is getting worse over time and I have an appointment scheduled with Chevrolet to get this resolved. My concern is a 2022 recall on this same vehicle due to the break system. Therefore, I am reporting this for the year or 2023 because my car is brand new and making screech noises every time I break. Also, my electric system randomly stops working. For example, my touch screen Car play system pixelates and sometimes doesn’t even work. I turned off my car and the radio stayed on and the volume wasn’t going down. The car was off and the radio was still playing! After about 15 mins the radio stopped playing while the car was off. Something isn’t right with my trailblazer, electric and breaks. Lastly, in the images you will see as my millage goes up so does the remaining fuel miles I have left. The fuel miles left are suppose to go down as I’m using the car. Therefore, something is also wrong with my electric dashboard system and fuel meter. Please consider a recall, this is dangerous.

The vehicle was then taken to another independent mechanic, where it was determined that the turbo and waste gate actuator needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired.   The turbo went out on the car for absolutely no reason. Message popped up on dash board saying "Engine power reduced". I have seen this happen to many many many other card across the country. It does not many how many miles are on the car. some Ive seen 25k and some ive seen at 60k. Shouldn't Chevy be recalling and fixing the part? Seems unfair to me as a consumer. Who has thousands of dollars to get that repaired?

  My vehicle was struck on the left front drivers side while traveling 55 mph. My car flipped multiple times, but when it came to a rest on the drivers side, my head was trapped between the driver's window and the side curtain airbag. I couldn't move the airbag, so I had to move my seat back and bend my neck/head back and down out to get free. My face/head/neck/upper shoulder suffered bruising on the RIGHT SIDE of my body from impact of the airbag. This shouldn't have been the case - the deployment should have impacted the left side of my face. I am in belief that the deployment of this side curtain airbag was late in protecting me in this collision.

The contact stated that, while driving on several occasions with the auto start-stop feature activated, the vehicle appeared to shut down at a complete stop as the infotainment screen and dashboard lights turned off. The vehicle restarted automatically but shuddered during startup. The dashboard lights and the infotainment screen became operable. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. Additionally, the contact stated that while driving at approximately 30 MPH, the thermostat needle went to Hot, and the Check Engine warning light illuminated. The vehicle was steered to the side of the road and turned off for approximately 15 minutes. Upon restarting the vehicle, the check engine warning light remained illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed that the coolant flow control valve had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 88,251.

  I recently bought a new Trailblazer 2023 last year. I have had problems with a squeaking noise when I apply the brakes. The problems have gotten considerably worse. I have taken it to the dealership and they claim there are no problems. I made an appointment to take it to the dealership again because the squeaking while applying the brakes sounds terrible. I was instructed that there was nothing that could be done until Trailblazer did a recall on the type of brake pads installed in Trailblazers. I was also told that there have been numerous complaints about the same problem I am experiencing. I LOVE my trailblazer and just want the problem corrected.

The dealership said they put metal brake pads on the car and that it's "supposed" to grind and make noise" and told me there is nothing they can do about it. I know this was an issue with their 2020-2022 Trailblazers. I can't believe that it's normal for a $30,000 dollar car.

Although the gear selector was physically in park, the contact was unable to fully shut down the vehicle and had to cycle the ignition on and off multiple times until the system eventually recognized the park position. I’ve had them inspected at every single maintenance and there can be no flaw found. When driving on the interstate, the engine is very “jerky” almost like the transmission can’t keep up with the speed of 70-80mph (not always, but it is noticeable when it happens). At first I didn’t think much of it but with the mass recall of chevys identified, I believe it needs to go on record - particularly about the brakes.

  smudge on rear hatch above window, took to dlr they said maybe I did it. I was told to come back day after day and no record of these visits. When the fixed paint at their shop no paperwork. my radio screen scrambling, going blank, stop working, static sounds coming out, The ignition button wouldn’t turn off There was an update for the lane departure issue, the radio issue there is no current fix as per manufacturer the advisor informed me.[XXX] went dl show lt rear window, I had to N Cal. [XXX] at dlr [XXX] told me to bring 5th fix back window but the left rear window defect They told me they order that day! So my vehicle was at the dealership for approx 2 weeks [XXX] the day they called saying my car was ready to pickup I ask if the window was replaced yet etc. Ricky the advisor (nice guy) he tells me there’s nothing in the system about the window issue, he says he’ll tell his manager and call me back. He informs me the window was never ordered in nov and they just ordered Feb 22nd. I picked my vehicle up [XXX] and it’s still having radio system issues, starting or stopping issues. [XXX] window was replaced also tinted. The bubbles in the window tint Again yesterday the radio system wasn’t working properly, the speakers were static, display not operating, blackout, the lane departure has me all over the road! The push start doesn’t operate correctly (will not shut off, the other day the car continued to roll backwards after I put in park. Lunges when parking in garage The fact that I have been going in for various issues and there’s no records or notes in system showing this. I reviewed docs I have found the miles in/out were same so how could someone have test driven to duplicate my concerns? [XXX] I go in garage gas fumes filled the air, I thought it was pressure washer but I took it out and used fan to clear. Drive car come back garage a bit better, put garage for night…Again [XXX], [XXX] and today. I can’t see any leaks on garage floor.   I was driving west on I90 near Belvidere IL, through a construction zone. All of sudden the vehicle stopped by its self. I had no control except for the steering. Once on the left shoulder of a four lane hwy(one way), another four lanes on the other side. There was a cement barrier blocking from the other side traffic. I smelled like burnt rubber, now I now it was the brakes. I checked under the hood did not see or smell something burning. After a few minutes the SUV was able to move. I was afraid for my life, just waiting on a vehicle to hit me.
