The vehicle tends to lurch/jerk forward during various driving scenarios. The most frightening is when you are approaching a stop light/sign, and there is a car in front of you when this happens. I have had several experiences of almost hitting the vehicle at the light/stop sign.

The dealership refuses to perform the 68c recall for my 4xe wrangler, [XXX] They said they are worried that there will be a glitch with the recall and they will have to hold on to my jeep for 3-4 weeks until a battery replacement is available. They don’t want to do this because there are already 3 cars in the dealership awaiting the same battery replacement. Given the seriousness of the recall (battery fires), this seems like an unsafe response to the recall. They mentioned they’ve been turning multiple cars away with this recall and that they have other recalls for other models to also worry about. 2022 Jeep 4xe Rubicon, 13,000 Miles - At about 5,000 miles I first noticed an occasional wobble in the front end at speeds around 50mph or above. The wobble has progressively gotten worse and at around 9,000 miles has developed into a full blown "death wobble". At 60mph or above it is most likely to happen. When is does happen it is started by a small bump or depression (smaller than a pothole will do it) the front end of the vehicle shakes violently and the only way to stop it is to let my foot off of the gas and let it coast. At around 40mph it will stop. Hitting the brakes increases the shaking. This is scary and unpleasant and causes confusion to drivers who are behind as I try to make my way to the side of the road. I took it to the dealership and they balanced the tires and charged me $120.00. This improved it for about 2 weeks and then the wobble returned just as before.

My vehicle, a 2022 Jeep Wrangler 4xe is subject to Recall 25V-741. This recall involves a serious safety defect with vehicle’s charging system, posing I fire risk when charged. This renders the vehicle unsafe to operate. At this time, there is no available repair remedy. While the official Jeep Mopar website states that repairs parts are available but the Jeep dealership states they don't have repairs available for my vehicle. I have called two different dealerships one month apart and still received the same answer. As a result of this recall, I am unable to drive or reasonably use the vehicle. The vehicle is effectively inoperable, and I am incurring ongoing financial harm, including loan payments and loss-of-use expenses, for a vehicle that cannot be safely driven. I purchased the vehicle in good faith, and shortly after purchase learned of the open recall. Stellantis has not provided a repair timeline or alternative resolution. This situation leaves me without safe transportation and no practical remedy.

Dec 23 took mine in for recall service. Had no issues prior to having this done. Pick up the same day. Was told passed the drive test. Drove to work Dec 24th (26 miles round trip) no issues. Did not drive on Christmas. Placed it to charge that night, for drive to work the 26th. Noticed it did not charge completely. On the way in to work service light came on. Time to leave work, it would not start. Dash had the service charging station. Waited a few minutes. Then it did finally start. Tried to place it in esave. It would not go. Regeneration went off. It drove horrible. Slow acceleration, especially from a complete stop. Got it home and had it towed to a different dealership that had performed the update. Was told a module is bad and they are keeping it until the 30th to check for other issues. They said as a precaution to ensure I was safe on the road. Terrifying experience.

I kept getting a warning message to push the brake and push start but nothing happened. I was stuck in the middle of the road and was put in a dangerous situation. I kept turning the car on and off and eventually 30 minutes later it started.

The vehicle is also subject to an active high-voltage battery fire-risk recall, further affecting safety and reliability. The vehicle has been in the shop since Wednesday and Jeep has not provided a loaner or direct rental vehicle, leaving my family without transportation. Due to the combination of safety risks and loss of use, I am requesting: •Immediate manufacturer action to repair the defects •Direct rental coverage while the vehicle is in the shop •Escalation of my formal buyback request for executive review I am submitting this complaint to ensure that these safety and warranty-related issues are addressed promptly.

I'm Experiencing a KNOWN Jeep issue called the "DEATH WOBBLE". I only have 17800 miles on the vehicle and I'm 6 months out of warranty. when this vehicle gets into the death wobble mood it becomes totally uncontrollable and extremely unsafe to drive. the driver needs to slow down to under 40MPH or to a complete stop for it to stop. You can be driving at 65 MPH and the vehicle will go into convulsions, I feel it is SO dangerous I will not allow my wife to drive it.

rare circumstances, a battery pack may contain cells with separator damage. Separator damage, combined with other complex interactions within the cells, may lead to a vehicle fire. A vehicle fire can result in increased risk of occupant injury and injury to persons outside the vehicle. Vehicle risk is reduced when the battery charge level is depleted. Accordingly, owners are advised to refrain from recharging. Out of an abundance of caution, FCA US is also advising owners of these vehicles to park away from structures or other vehicles until the remedy is obtained.

Recently experienced the "death wobble" on a high speed highway. My entire car started wobbling and seemed like I lost balance in all 4 wheels. Dealership claimed it was a defective steering wheel damper, in which is the steering stabilizer. This is so dangerous, especially going at a high speed on the freeway. This can potentially cause a huge accident. Please help recall.

The vehicle is a 2022 Jeep wrangler with less than 6800 miles and is completely stock as delivered by the factory. On 12/17/2022 I was driving my 2022 completely stock (unmodified) Jeep Wrangler 4x4 on a paved city street at approximately 55 mph. Suddenly, without any warning whatsoever, the vehicle began violently shaking and the steering wheel was pulled out of my control. I was barely able to control the Jeep and the violent shacking was extremely difficult to control and keep in my lane. The vehicle continued shaking until I was able to come to a complete stop. This incident occurred In traffic, at 55 mph, and without warning. Vehicle’s behind me also had to emergency brake due to my panic and cars in the opposite lane had to swerve as the violent shaking caused my car to to cross into oncoming traffic. I contacted the Jeep dealer who I bought the car from and they were TOTALLY AWARE of the problem and called it “DEATH WOBBLE.” Dealer further stated they have no way of guaranteeing they can fix it. Please investigate this! Someone is going to die. This is totally unacceptable and should be stopped! I am now without a car and Jeep/Chrysler continue to sell these cars with full knowledge of this ongoing DANGER. I will never trust this vehicle. This vehicle has never been taken off-road or involved in an accident. I have never been late on a payment. I am stuck with a vehicle that has a known, severely dangerous problem. Please investigate this. I am lucky to be alive. Upon reviewing this incident on the net there are numerous complaints of DEATH WOBBLE, numerous. This problem is terrifying! Please investigate and stop this company from knowingly putting people in danger for PROFITS!

My 2022 Wrangler Hybrid only has 6500 miles on it and it had two significant/scary events. First, the motor cut out while driving on the expressway. Fortunately I was able to pull all the way over and start it up again but it was dangerous and scary. Second, and most significant, my vehicle experienced the "death wobble." When you travel over 60mph and hit a bump, the entire vehicle wobbles so much that the wheels and steering are nearly uncontrollable. This happened to me 20 times while driving my vehicle one day. It was terrifying for me and my passenger and I was even pulled over by other concerned drivers on the road. My vehicle has now been in repairs for over 2 weeks because the part to fix the vehicle is backordered. I no longer have confidence in this vehicle, it scares me to drive it and yet the manufacturer won't take it back because lemon laws don't apply, yet (has to be 30 days in service). I don't want this to happen to other drivers. Please investigate Jeep and keep people safe.

The Jeep when driving at above 50mph will hit a bump and the front tires and steering wheel starts shaking uncontrollably. Upon research I’ve found that this is called a “death wobble” on a Jeep. It has a history on Jeeps. This happened with under 5k miles on the Jeep with no changes to the vehicle to the tires or suspension which came with it from the factory. I took it back to the dealership in Ripon WI and they have indicated that this is common in Jeeps. They indicated the dealerships CFO’s wife had the same issue on her new Jeep recently. They have put a new steering dampener on order but it is on back order.

I am filing a complaint regarding an unresolved safety recall (NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V720000) for my 2022 Jeep Wrangler 4xe. The vehicle has experienced stalling and a significant loss of engine power while driving, creating a serious safety hazard. These issues were first noticed in October 2024 and the vehicle has become unsafe to drive as a result. I previously submitted a complaint to the NHTSA in October 2024, but the issue remains unresolved. Following the recall advisory, I brought my vehicle to an authorized dealership on November 26, 2024, where I was informed that no available fix exists for this recall issue, and the dealership could not provide a timeline for when a remedy would be available. The malfunction involves the high-voltage battery pack software, which is part of the recall remedy. However, this update has not been applied to my vehicle, and the ongoing performance degradation continues to put my safety at risk. The recall explicitly mentions the potential for fire and injury, which heightens my concern regarding the unresolved issue. Safety Risk: The stalling and loss of power while driving creates an immediate danger to my safety and that of others on the road. The vehicle is no longer reliable or safe to drive under these conditions. I have experienced at least five times in which my vehicle does not start and a "service charging system" error message shows on the dash resulting in the vehicle having to be towed to Newport Jeep in Middletown RI for service. Every recall that has been issue has been "fixed"- my hybrid battery has been replaced, my high voltage wire has been replaced. I tried to pursue a buyback request and was rejected in March 2025. I am aware of the 68C safety recall and that there is no repair at this time. Again on 12/9/25 my vehicle would not start, the "service charging system" error message was on the dash and my vehicle has had to be towed back to the dealership. They are not able to diagnose the issue. I want to pursue a buyback as this vehicle is defective and unsafe.

While driving over 50mph, I encountered issues with stablization where the steering wheel would violently shift left and right, and the vehicles front tires were wobbling uncontrollably until lowering speeds below 30mph. After the dealer replaced the steering damper, I ran into this problem again but much worse as I was driving 70mph on the Interstate. After almost losing control multiple times I was able to take back roads home. This is a huge safety issue as I had my baby in the vehicle and the issue is still occurring. Upon looking under the vehicle I noticed the steering damper free floating and the bolt was missing for the wheel. I'm not sure if the bolt assembly is bent but it appears the replacement by the dealer is inadequate.

I was driving a longer distance from Las Vegas Nevada to California Victor Ville and was coming down in speed and vehicle claimed a sudden stop in power and turned off. After a min of attempting to pull into a close parking lot the Jeep 4xe alarms were going on and off uncontrollably with zero power or capability to shutting off. After a few times of attempting to turn the jeep on and off and no success i got out of my vehicle, disconnected the battery and reconnected it. We were on the freeway with our infant in the back seat and on a thanksgiving trip back home. We just thought it was random until a recall lawyer reached out about our post on it and mentioned this is a lethal and serious issue. At this moment, we are not driving it as we seen a news channel mention this issue. I say this with the tone of seeking a new solution that is not in this death trap… We as a family would like to find a way to get a refund and away from this completely. We do not feel safe, we just bought this vehicle a month ago.

Driving on the interstate with Adaptive Cruise Control on at 72mph the vehicle loss power. Error message appeared, "Performance limit pull over put in p and start " plus "service charging system". Vehicle quickly decelerated and luckly I had a place to pull over out of traffic. I then restarted the vehicle without issue.

I was pulling into a parking spot outside of a Costco and suddenly the car began to accelerate uncontrollably, and I couldn't stop the car. It ended up hitting the car in front of me, pushing it out of the spot and then hit the car next to us. Fortunately, there was no one in any of the cars hit but the entire experience was completely terrifying, and someone could have been seriously injured. The police were called and there was a police report filed. The vehicle has not been inspected by the manufacturer or insurance company since it just occurred yesterday and the police said that the report wouldn't be ready for 3-5 business days. We also contacted the dealership where we purchased the vehicle, and they advised us to contact Jeep's customer service.

Engine shut down condition caused by diagnostic reactions to faults caused by communication of the car. Motive power has been lost while driving. The vehicle has not been inspected by police or any authority. I have contacted manufacturer and dealership and they have not offered any options since this is a recall issue that has no solution or parts available they told me to wait it out. Therefore I am now paying for a car that is not safe to drive and these concerns have not been fixed or addressed by manufacture.

Wife was going to work. Started to notice difference in the feel of the drive. Then the check engine light came on. When she started to accelerate the vehicle jerks. When the vehicle is at a stop then accelerates the it takes about 5 seconds for the car to start moving. Today the vehicle turns on but can’t switch gears to put it in reverse or drive. Vehicle is a paper wait and the earliest time I can take in to a certified mechanic is 1 month. I’ve had multiple issues with this car. Death wobble, electric recalls. And a recall that stated part not available park your car not in your garage and don’t charge your hybrid…. How can this car be allowed on the streets with this many issues under 2 years

I received the recall of my leased vehicle and I immediately called Chrysler Stelantis and was told that there was nothing they could do. This recall materially restricts the safe use of my leased vehicle. I request early termination of my lease without penalty OR a replacement vehicle. I am a 100% disabled veteran and cannot comply with the recall’s conditions They stated that they will take back my lease but I will be penalized for the early termination and also for any recoupment of the vehicle when it goes to auction. This is unacceptable and has placed myself, my family,, my residence and other vehicles in danger. I cannot abide by the recall.

Jeep wrangler has 46k miles, 2 years, but battery died while car was running. Would not start once car engine shut down. I was stuck in the middle of a busy intersection and was out ant risk of an collision. Upon running diagnostics, battery is fully drained and alternator is not starting. Online forms suggest it could be the alternative battery, charging the start/stop function, that died and drained the charge from the main battery. Prior to the incident, there was a low voltage warning which got worse over 2 days, until ultimately it died completely.

I have been leasing this vehicle for approximately 3 years and have experienced constant engine problems; knocking and jolting forward. There have been four safety recalls and I mentioned the engine issues at the dealership. I was told not use the electric engine and keep the car in gas mode. This has not fixed the problem; it jolts forward randomly which is very scary. I only have this one vehicle and a small child. I am not comfortable driving this car with my son in it. And now I received another recall notice for severe fire risk and no remedy available. I am making (expensive) lease payments for a car that is not safe to drive.

I had it towed to Capital Jeep and they said it was my main and aux battery, a week later which was yesterday 11-29-24 the same lights and message came on, I pulled into the dealership and they said it was the green bus connecter behind the glove box, then today 11-30-24 I was driving same lights and message again, however this time I could not go passed 5 miles an hour. So now it’s towed again and sitting at the dealership
