Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2020-2025 Jeep Wrangler 4Xe and 2022-2026 Grand Cherokee 4Xe vehicles. The high voltage battery may fail internally and lead to a vehicle fire while parked or driving.
Risk: A vehicle fire can increase the risk of injury.
Fix: Owners are advised to park outside and away from structures and not to charge their vehicles until the remedy is completed. Dealers will update the high voltage battery software, and replace the high voltage battery, as necessary, free of charge. Some owner notification letters were mailed beginning December 17, 2025. The remaining owner notification letters will be mailed at a later date. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is 68C. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will be searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning November 6, 2025. Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2022-2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee, 2023 Jeep Wagoneer, 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee L, and Jeep Wagoneer L vehicles. A software error may cause the transmission gear selection indicator not to display. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 102, "Transmission shift lever sequence, starter interlock, and transmission braking effect."
Risk: A missing gear selection indicator may lead to unintended vehicle movement or a vehicle rollaway, increasing the risk of a crash.
Fix: Dealers will update the shifter module software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed August 20, 2026. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 800-853-1403. Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2021-2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee L and 2022-2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee vehicles. The rear coil springs may be incorrectly installed and detach from the vehicle while driving.
Risk: Rear coil springs that detach from the vehicle while driving increase the risk of a crash.
Fix: Dealers will inspect and repair the rear coil spring assembly, as necessary, free of charge. Interim notification letters, notifying owners of the safety risk, were mailed February 12, 2026. Additional letters will be sent once the final remedy is available, anticipated in March 2026. Owners may contact FCA US, LLC customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2022-2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee and 2021-2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee L vehicles. An improperly secured connector for the front seat side air bags (SAB) may prevent the air bags from deploying. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 214, "Side Impact Protection."
Risk: An air bag that does not deploy during a crash increases the risk of injury.

An improperly connected coaxial cable may prevent the rearview camera image from displaying. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 111, "Rear Visibility."
Risk: A rearview camera image that does not display decreases the driver's visibility, increasing the risk of injury or crash.

The center stack upper display (DCSD) contains a transistor that may overheat and prevent the rearview camera image from displaying. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 111, "Rear Visibility."
Risk: A rearview image that does not display reduces the driver's visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.

The contact owned a 2022 Jeep Wrangler 4XE. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V720000 (Electrical System); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The local dealer was contacted. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle lost motive power with several unknown warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed high voltage battery pack software failure. The contact was informed that the battery pack assembly had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired due to the parts not being available. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and a case was opened. The failure mileage was approximately 29,000. The VIN was not available.

The contact owns a 2022 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that while operating the vehicle the check engine warning light had remained illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who unable to determine the cause of the check engine light and the vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not yet contacted. The contact was informed that the VIN was included in the NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V741000(ELECTRICAL SYSTEM). The failure mileage was 8,000.

The contact owns a 2022 Jeep Wrangler 4XE. The contact stated that the vehicle was difficult to start. Additionally, the contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle hesitated while depressing the accelerator pedal. Additionally, the contact stated that there was an alarm related to the battery that was sounded. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V741000 (Electrical System); and the vehicle was taken to the dealer, where a software update was performed on several occasions; however, the failure worsened. The message "Check Electrical System" was displayed, and the check engine warning light and other unknown warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer, where it was diagnosed, and it was determined that the high-voltage battery needed to be replaced. The contact was advised that the vehicle needed to remain with the dealer for a month. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 34,000. The VIN was not available.
