  This echos many of the existing complaints with the transmission already filed. When pulling away from a stop, the car will lag, then suddenly engage the wheels causing the car to jump forward. Some times there is a slight wheel spin etc. I have already taken it to the dealership, they said there was nothing wrong with transmission replaced the transmission fluid and reset the transmission controller. No change in behavior. I've been living with it, but recently drove another honda minivan and realized just how "not normal" the behavior is, and quite frankly how dangerous this has been all along.

  I am getting a failing fuel injector that is not covered in Hondas openTSB. I am unsure how it was determined that only VIN are covered when it is the same engine for all 18 &19s. Honda is denying work but reporting because many others are having same problem and not covered on an odyssey forum. I believe it is an issue with more than the VINs in the extension. Recommending that NYSB collect data on all odyssey and see the failures

  today ( Dec 30, 2025) . my wife was driving my HONDA ODYSSEY on Highway 287 east NJ ( closed to livingston NJ ) . Here is the whole thing : The ODYSSEY suddenly stopped while my wife was downshifting. At that time, there was a car in front of our car at least 30 feet away. Once the car stopped almost completely. Some red warning letters were shown on the front dashboard. But since we all filled in in a big panic, no one saw what those words were. At that time, we felt the minivan vibrating. That is all we could recall since we were still trying to calm down. I am not sure it was still the same problem with the transmission we reported months ago. That is the whole store for today. And I also attached the last note I sent to you. Hi , To whom it might concern, To further the conversation, we had talked with the local Honda dealer, and they had test-driven it several times, but they insist there are no problems at all. They suggested that we replace the transmission fluid to improve the performance. We replaced it in the dealer store. But from the fall of this year, 2025. We feel the odyssey has the same problems again : 1. The vehicle struggles to accelerate quickly when the accelerator is pressed. 2. The vehicle accelerates, but there is a noticeable jerking sensation. 3. After pressing the accelerator, the engine RPM increases significantly (the engine noise also grows louder), but the car itself does not accelerate immediately. It takes several seconds before any noticeable increase in speed occurs. I checked online I noticed that in some cases, some odysseys stop on the highway and cause some injuries, which is terribly I also sent a note to Honda USA, and I got a reply, but it is useless. I do not know what I can do. I saw there was some recall (due to the transmission) on Othe dyssey touring model and elite models, but I wonder if there is any recall on my Odyssey EX-L model.

  At the grocery store and trunk would not close. Warning on the dash says “power tailgate problem”. Stranded my wife in the parking lot until she was able to get in touch with me to tell her she had to close it manually. It’s very hard to overcome the actuators manually if you’re a smaller statured person.

  The driver’s side sliding door suddenly ceased operating in October 2024. It will sometimes open halfway or partially close, but on most attempts will only open about an inch. It works manually, but is very hard to pull.

  Driving 60mph on the highway, everything electrical shut off and on several times. The dash screen, the touch screen, the AC, the lights. I immediately took an exit and got off, and when the rebooting stopped I was going about 30mph and the car shifted by itself into park. Then there was a horrible grinding sound of metal on metal...I hit the brakes to pull off the road the car got under 20mph and stopped instantaneously. I had the car towed to my local Honda dealership and they said they cannot replicate the issue, nor see any error codes. They will not take apart anything to check for damage to the parking rod because there were no error codes...And they want me to pick up the vehicle today.

  Our front camera on windshield failed at 96k miles, causing all lights to come on the dash. This resulted in all safety features failed and even basic cruise control doesnt work. Lots of Honda owners have same issues and the result is that it is a failed front camera which could cost around 2k to replace. There is no other way around it. It is found out that the camera could over heat leading to failure. This issue should be a recall because it is a safety concern. Could you please look into it? Thank you for your time.

  Currently own a honda odyssey 2019. The transmission is unstable at times. From a speed of 25-30mph, it performs hard shifts i think from the 3rd gear. We can really feel the jerk of the van along with a sound like metals slipping or something. It doesn't always happen therefore the dealer could not fully diagnose it and called it normal or wait for it to get worse. Yeah right!

  Since purchasing the vehicle, I've had several incidents where my safety and those inside my vehicle are compromised due to the loss of drive power and stalling of the vehicle while driving. I've complained to the dealer for which they continued to assure me that there was no problem detected during the safety inspections. Recently I received the recall notice to replace the fuel pump module which was causing the issues that I've experienced with my vehicle. I took my vehicle to the dealer on 11/11/24, where it was serviced to correct the recall issues. However, I continue to have the same problems of stalling and loss of drive power when driving the vehicle. There are no warning lamps or other issues detected by the dealer according to their safety inspection. My safety and the safety of my passengers, continues to be put at risk. While driving in the highway it is especially dangerous because when I'm changing lanes the vehicle will not accelerate putting me at a risk for a collision. When I am turning left into a street, I feel that it looses power and am stalled in the middle on the street risking yet again a collision. These incidents occur at least 90 percent of the time when driving.

  BRAUN WHEELCHAIR CONVERSION ON 2019 HONDA ODYSSEY. GAS OVERFLOWS FROM BELOW DUE TO GAS LINE IN FUEL TANK. FUEL TANK REPLACED ON HONDA BY BRAUN, BRAUN HAND BUILDS THE DEFECTIVE TANK. FIRE DEPARTMENT HAD TO COME BECAUSE OF ALL THE GAS OVERFLOWING UNDER VAN. I HAD FILLED THE GAS TANK NIGHT BEFORE, 12-16 HOURS LATER WHILE PARKED IN MY DRIVE WAY GAS WAS LEAKING ONTO DRIVEWAY AT LEAST 2 GALLONS. LOOKED LIKE A SLOW DRIP THAT TIME I SAW IT WAS A SPEWING FAUCET. I HAD VAN TOWED TO HONDA DEALERSHIP BUT WAS TRANSFERRED TO BRAUN DEALERSHIP. BRAUN IS GOING TO MAKE ANOTHER FUEL TANK AFTER JAN 6 IN INDIANA THEN SHIP TO LUBBOCK TEXAS END OF JAN, EARLY FEB. SAME SET UP !   I have a CMBS issue. Nothing around that would trigger it just driving through an intersection and the CMBS came on and basically just stopped the car for no reason. I get these "BRAKE" messages mostly when the car in front of me is turning right and the Odyssey doesn't think I slow down enough. I know the car is turning, the Odyssey doesn't. I've also had it come up a couple times while going around a curve, I think it detected the oncoming traffic as being in my lane and it told me to "BRAKE". I have video files to prove from my dash cams but I could not upload these files here. Honda dealer misdiagnosed to replace power distribution module but it did not fixed and I found other Honda vehicles has the same CMBS issue. Hoping you got some resolution. Thanks.

  The vehicle has been occasionally stalling starting early 2024, maybe sooner. I had the fuel pump recall done recently. The vehicle is still stalling, and it seems to be getting worse. The stalling happens when driving at speed, even over 70+ mph. No warning lights. But rpms drop to almost zero for a few seconds and accelerator is unresponsive. Then it comes back after a few seconds. This is dangerous. Especially on busy highways.

  On December 8, 2023 I left my home where the vehicle is parked in a garage to drive to work. About a mile down the road I heard a loud pop and glass was flying off the top of the car. The sunroof of the vehicle had exploded without any direct impact to the sunroof, extreme vibration on the road, or extreme temperature. The car was at about 45 mph and the temperature was above freezing.

  When I go to accelerate I lose power and am unable to accelerate a lot of the times. The problem is intermittent and the sales people at Nissan dealership where I bought it from can't duplicate is. I've been mentioning this issue since I purchased the vehicle. Yesterday while driving the vehicle there was a loud bang noise and I lost ALL power driving 65 mph down Parmer lane. I had to coast and make a uturn at which point some power was regained. Multiple other times while driving to the dealership the same thing happened while trying to go across traffic. It was amazing nothing happened to us. I took it to the dealership and they acknowledged there's a major lawsuit right now for that vehicle but when Honda pulls up the VIN it doesn't show my vehicle is affected.

  While driving with my family, my vehicle experienced a sudden and total failure of the front-facing multi-purpose camera mounted behind the windshield. This component is the primary sensor for the Honda Sensing suite. The failure caused multiple critical safety systems to become inoperative simultaneously, including the Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS), Lane Keeping Assist (LKAS), and Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC). These systems are essential for crash avoidance and driver assistance.

  Fuel injectors failed. Exact same issue that was recalled in the 2018 and 2019 Oddysey. Confirmed by local mechanic that referred me to a Honda dealership since it was a known recall. Dealership confirmed it’s the exact same issue that has been occurring. Opened a case and Honda did nothing. Because my vin wasn’t included in the recall, yet. Looking to get the recall extended to other vins because it’s the same issue.

DEALERSHIP OF PURCHASE WAS NOTIFIED AND VEHICLE WAS BROUGHT INTO SERVICE. AFTER SIX DAYS, OWNER WAS NOTIFIED THAT MOST LIKELY DEFECT WAS A FAILED MAIN BEARING IN ENGINE CRANKSHAFT ASSEMBLY AND THAT HONDA CARS OF NA WOULD REPLACE ENGINE.

WE WERE DRIVING NEAR THE 405/5 Y MERGE AND THE CAR SUDDENLY SHIFTED INTO PARK.   The vehicles monocular camera assembly is failing and causing all the adas systems to not operate. This is a severe safety issue and is a common problem for Honda vehicles. Honda should be required to recall and replace the faulty camera.

  Honda sensing stopped working and threw a bunch of errors about ACC, LKAS, Collision mitigation, auto high beam error, forward collision, lane keep. Apparently the camera had an internal fault without any prior warning. Also vehicle’s timing belt tensioner already deemed leaking at just 75,000 miles, well below the 100k replacement point, despite regular checks and maintenance at Honda dealers. Front suspension leaking, honda replaced only 1, and declined to replace both, as recommended by dealer mechanic. If i did not have honda care, i would be left with a very large repair bill for critical components of the drivability and safety of the vehicle. This is not acceptable.

The contact stated that on several occasions while driving at various speeds, the vehicle lost motive power. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 35 MPH, the vehicle lost motive power lunged forward, and then started driving normally. The vehicle was towed to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the fuel injection system needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired but the failure persisted. The contact stated that on one occasion while idling in a drive-thru, the vehicle stalled. The contact stated that the "Lane Departure Mitigation System and Engine Management System Failure" messages were displayed. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed and determined that the fuel pump needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired but the failure returned several days later. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.

The contact stated that while his wife was driving approximately 50-60 MPH, the front driver's side air bag unexpectedly deployed without an impact to the vehicle. No warning light was illuminated. There were no injuries sustained. The Highway Patrol escorted the vehicle to a friend's residence. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and advised the contact to file a claim with the Insurance provider. The failure mileage was approximately 112,000. The VIN was unavailable.

  On multiple occasions when traveling at a low rate of speed when the accelerator is pushed there is no response for up to 2-3 seconds then the car suddenly accelerates forcefully because the gas pedal has been pushed to the floor with no response. It has mostly happened when we are making a left hand turn and have slowed. Due to the seconds of delay we have been almost t boned and are hesitant to make a left hand turn if there is any traffic because we don't know if the car will immediately accelerate or if it will hesitate. We are able to reproduce it to some extent by accelerating the car to about 5-7 mph, letting off the accelerator and then reapplying pressure to the accelerator. We took the car to the dealership and they reproduced it and contacted the Honda techline who told them it is normal. It has been scary for myself and my wife and does not feel normal for the car to have a complete delay in response and then over respond.

  Right sliding door will not open or close automatically. It beeps and warning light “right sliding door problem” displays. Door has to be manually opened or closed by using the exterior handle. There is resistance when trying to manually close the door and it won’t fully latch.

  Delay in acceleration. It is an intermittent issue. Noise when gear is changed. Coming from a stop or slow down, pushing the accelerator pedal slightly, the car does not respond. Pushing the accelerator pedal further down the car jerks(responds), accelerates but faster than needed/desired. The accelerator pedal needs to be released, push the pedal again to increase the speed to as needed/desired. Sometimes this results in a loud boom coming from the engine or transmission as if the gears did not engaged previously, but when pushing the accelerator pedal harder. Having searched the internet several people reported the same/similar symptoms. Some people took the car for check up, but no improvement afterward. My dealer could not help me either but offered to check the car out for $ 200 bucks. No engine light is/comes on. This is an intermittent issue, so duplicating does not seem to work. Having worked in maintenance at OCTA, I recall being told symptoms as the above, resulted in changing shifter or transmission or parts thereof.

  The contact owns a 2019 Honda Odyssey. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V858000 (Fuel System, Gasoline); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The local dealer was contacted. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect.

  - Step on accelerator and no acceleration, - When at stop then gas there is hesitation with extra slow accelerator. - Shifting from 1st to 2nd there a jerking and hard shift which something cause loud noise. - Reported multiply times to dealer and indicated its normal (Replace purge valve) no help.
