  • SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC:FOUNDATION COMPONENTS:DISC:CALIPERCampaign 19V629000 · 28/08/2019

Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2019 Fiesta vehicles. The brake calipers may have been manufactured with the incorrect assembly fluid, which can cause the caliper's rubber seals to swell.

Risk: The swollen seals can cause the brakes to drag, potentially overheating the brakes and increasing the risk of a crash.

Fix: Ford will notify owners, and dealers will flush the brake fluid and replace the front brake calipers and brake hoses, free of charge. The recall began October 10, 2019. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 19S27.

A second notice will be sent once the final remedy is available, anticipated March 2027. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 24S75.

My back up camera has been recalled. No parts are available to get it fixed. I have children in my car on a daily. The camera is getting worse. I can't even sell it because the safety recall is in the Car Fax Report. I don't want to drive this car anymore. What are my options?

  • 12/23/2025· SERVICE BRAKES

Brakes started seizing up while driving. Became extremely dangerous as the car would rock at speed and also would not start moving if I came to a stop. Went immediately to a shop, when I arrived into the shop, inspection found that the caliper was locked onto the wheel preventing the front wheel from moving. Had the caliper replaced but the caliper was still seizing, and then had to get the ABS Hydraulic Assembly, P/N D2BZ 2C405-E replaced. This P/N seem to be causing a lot of troubles from online forums. This issue had no warming lamps, messages or anything indicating this other than a feel that the car is accelerating more slowly. However, when the brakes started seizing, the situation felt extremely dangerous.

  • 12/16/2022· ENGINE

Catastrophic Engine Failure due to the manufacturer's recommendation and use of conventional motor oils in the form of Synthetic Blend Motor Oil or Super Premium Motor Oil, a specification WSS-M2C945-B1 , from the 2019 Ford Fiesta Owner Manual. It leaves the driver and occupants stranded in the middle of the road with an inoperable vehicle. Being a small 4 cylinder engine the engine is high revving and produces sludge. Whereas if the manufacturer recommended Full Synthetic oil as the car parts store do as part of the oils usable for that specific model. There would have been no engine failure as occurred with my vehicle on 11/22/2022. No sludge would form in the engine. Because synthetic oil is proven not produce any sludge in an engine. I believe a recall should result in the manufacturer recommending full synthetic in the owner manual and engine oil be replaced by dealer service to full synthetic as well as engine work be done due to damage from conventional oil.

  • 11/09/2023· UNKNOWN OR OTHER,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM

The horn had to be replaced Sept. 22, 2023 because it wasn't working. The horn had to be replaced again Nov. 9, 2023 because it was not working. This is a safety hazard since, without a horn, the driver cannot alert others in case of a problem with this car or get the attention of other drivers who are inattentive and may cause an accident. The second time the dealer replaced the horn, the service representative stated the problem was that the assembly got wet and the new unit had to be re-mounted in a better position. There was no light or indicator that the horn had failed. I only noticed it when locking the car with the fob because it usually beeps if I press the "lock" button twice. If I hadn't noticed that, I would have been surprised and potentially involved in an accident if unable to alert other drivers of a problem.

Due to the failure, the contact had the vehicle towed to an independent mechanic where the mechanic diagnosed the vehicle with a defective dual transmission clutch. The contact was informed that although the transmission could be repaired, the failure might likely return, and the mechanic could not warranty the repair. The contact called several other transmission shops and was provided the same information. Despite the initial repair, the contact stated that the failure returned approximately 15,000-20,000 miles later. The vehicle was taken to back to the independent mechanic where the transmission was replaced another time. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and the contact was informed that there were no recalls on the vehicle related to the transmission. Despite the most recent repair, the contact was certain that the failure would return. The failure mileage was approximately 75,000.

  • 11/05/2023· ENGINE

The incident happened on November 1, 2023, and the complaint is on a 2019 Ford Fiesta with approximately 22,700 miles and still covered under the power train warranty. A family member and I were driving and I started to feel nauseous, and had difficulty thinking clearly. This improved once exiting the vehicle. My family member experienced the same symptoms of nausea and difficulty thinking when driving, and additionally had a headache. This was improved by rolling down the windows. The vehicle was taken to Pearson Ford in Zionsville, Indiana and was found to have a cracked exhaust manifold with exhaust fumes leaking into the cabin. This was deemed a premature part failure of the exhaust manifold, as there was no damage done to the vehicle and the vehicle having low miles, approximately 22,700. The dealer agreed to replace the exhaust manifold under warranty, but had to order the part. Repair is still pending.

  • 10/31/2024· SERVICE BRAKES

Upon stopping when applying the brakes they locked up. There were no warning lights on. It was diagnosed by an independent auto repair shop, not drivable I had it towed to the Ford Dealership. The ABS module, and calipers have failed. I learned there was a recall on these parts but do not apply to my specific vin #. The ABS module is on national back order, likely a month out. I have paid for the part. The service dept quoted new rotors calipers/hose and pads I think this vehicle may need to be added to the recall since it is the exact same failure. Luckily I was in town and not on the interstate when the brake system failed.

  • 10/30/2021· POWER TRAIN

The Ford Fiesta was being Flat Towed behind our motorhome. I were using a Brake Buddy that has a battery disconnect. While driving down the road about 30 miles I saw smoke coming out of the car. A wrecker was called and brought to the dealership. Tge dealer said the transmission needed to be replaced.

  • 10/25/2023· POWER TRAIN

The transmission on this vehicle has several issues. It is available for inspection. 1. The transmission gets stuck in park. The dealership was able to reproduce. They replaced shifter mechanism, but issue returned several days later. The only way to prevent this was to disengage the brake lockout, which is a safety issue. 2. The transmission occasionally does not detect that it is in park when turning the car on as displayed on the cluster. This prevents ignition. Some combination of rocking the car or shifting out of park and back into park generally corrects this, but this is a stranding safety issue. 3. Occasionally the transmission will not shift into reverse. Shifting into and out of park and restarting the engine several times generally fixes this, but can be a safety issue when trying to park or make a multi-point turn as it can leave the car blocking traffic. There are no malfunction lights associated with any of these issues.

  • 09/05/2024· POWER TRAIN,SERVICE BRAKES

My clutch slave cylinder failed with approximately 64000 mi on the vehicle. This is a hydraulic system sharing the same reservoir as the brakes. The clutch pedal stuck to the floor leaving me unable to change gear while driving on the highway. Had to pull off on the side of the road and manually pull up the clutch with my hand. After that it functioned seemingly fine. I took the car to a local garage who diagnosed the issue and said it was fairly common on these cars. Part has not been replaced yet so it cannot be inspected but it is scheduled to go in to have the transmission dropped and slave cylinder replaced. There were no lamps messages or other warning signs prior to the incident on the highway aside from a slight softening of the clutch feel which occured during the months proceeding the failure. The clutch in this vehicle is notoriously soft to begin with so it did not feel much different. Thank you

  • 08/05/2023· POWER TRAIN

No warning lamps. Sealed transmission. Transmission stalls as u round a corner, or first take off, and when u come to Complete stop the transmission will jerk or stall with a jerk. It's dangerous because the cars behind me almost rearend me thinking I'm gonna be taking off after I let off the brake and the transmission just sits still. Doesn't even rev up and to get it to rev up to go you have to just about floor the gas pedal and it rares up to about 4rpm before it finally starts taking off. Took to Lucas Oil and they said the transmission is reading fine. But it does it all the time, about each driver go on and has a high rom alot of times before it will shift.

  • 07/17/2022· ENGINE

In SEP-2021, the engine overheating warning light came on. We stopped the car and realized that the coolant level in the overflow reservoir was very low. There was no obvious leak on the ground or on the engine. We purchased coolant and topped off the coolant reservoir to the appropriate level. A couple of weeks later, we noticed again that the coolant level had gone down significantly while there was no sign of coolant whatsoever on the floor of the garage. We dropped off the car at our local Ford dealer on 20-OCT-2022 for a diagnosis. On OCT-22, the service department confirmed that the engine had overheated and that the head gasket had blown and informed us they would contact Ford to discuss the repair. Further feedback from the dealership was that they would need to tear down the engine at Ford's request for further investigation. We received a loaner vehicle from the dealership on 29-OCT-2022. Fast forward to FEB-2022 and the dealer confirmed that they had found no external leaks and the diagnosis had revealed codes P1299 and P0303. Further testing revealed coolant found in cylinder # 3 so the coolant was found to be leaking inside the engine. Engine block was found to be cracked. They also confirmed that Ford Motor Co. had agreed to replace the engine under warranty. The repaired vehicle was finally returned to us on ... 20-JUN-2022, 8 months after it was dropped off at the dealership.

Car accelerates shifting weirdly, airbag light came on after a few days of signing the lease. I believe this is something that needs to be checked out. The RPM jumps up and down while idling. I feel like this car is very new and shouldn’t have engine problems. Has been routinely maintained.

  • 07/09/2021· POWER TRAIN

The CAR has the defect that it skips the transmission changes, from the first to the second it stays accelerated, it resists the change, it is a danger it stays accelerated until it finally goes to second and lowers the revolutions. I visited an auto parts store for a scanner and that was the code: Transmission friction PO7A3x2. Here I send you some news, ford, ford defects on your focus and fiesta vehicles. http://www.fordtransmissionproblems.com/fords-transmission-problem Ford's PowerShift dual-clutch transmission was used in 2010. Affected vehicles are the Ford Fiesta (model years 2011-2016) and Ford Focus (model years 2012-2016) equipped with a PowerShift transmission. The PowerShift transmission is basically a manual transmission electronically controlled by a computer while using a 'dry clutch' rather than a 'wet clutch', which means that no oil is supplied to the shift mechanism and can result in increased wear to as problems persist. When the computer module used to operate the transmission cannot handle rapid acceleration or gear changes, the vehicle sputters and creates an audible noise. The vehicle may also experience downshifting issues, which means the vehicle will stay in a higher gear despite deceleration and jerk will result. However, this is not just a matter of convenience or comfort. When accelerating quickly through an intersection, the delay can be dangerous as it prevents the vehicle from reaching the same speed as it would with an automatic transmission. When it comes to decelerating, the inability of the car to downshift properly can cause the vehicle to roll forward, even when the brakes are applied, posing a safety hazard in many circumstances. This is all a safety hazard

Rearview camera disconnects and shows either a blank image or a garbled image. Same as other 2019 Ford Fiesta recalled back cameras. My vehicle's VIN number has not been included in the original recall.

Back up camera gives distorted views. Back up camera unavailable. This especially happens after rain.
