  I purchased the crossover 2019in or around Sept 2021 the engine light appeared, it was taken to Reedman Toll Chevy of Springfield and they replaced the mass air flow sensor or oxygen sensor. Sept 2022 the engine light appeared again they replaced the oxygen sensor, Dec 19,2022 the engine light appeared again the vehical was taken to Reedman were it remains and I am being told it's th orifice tube(PVC tube). They stated this part is not covered under warranty after research GM bulletin No.: 20-NA-047 states this part is in fact covered. Reedman states the coverage of the service is $2,000.00 I contacted GM warranty dept (Irene) case#9-8392615536 who stated the part is covered also. Reedman refuses to follow the order given under the bulletin and GM.

  Purchased 2019 Sept 2021 engine light appeared fixed mass air flow by Reedman Chevy Sept 2022 engine reappears they fixed oxygen sensor Dec 19 2022 engine light reappears. Taken to Reedman 12/28/22 states orifice sensor or tube discover GM is aware of issue bullentin no.:20-NA-047 Reedman refused to honor repairs. States service will be $2,000.00 after contacting GM Protection Plan stated they give a $300 good will offer toward repair however the part is not covered under warranty(confused).

  THERE IS A FUEL LINK THAT APPEARS TO BE COMING FROM WHERE THE FUEL TANK THE LEAK WAS FOUND WHEN I PARK THE CAR AND LET IT SITE FOR A FEW HOURS. A STRONG FUEL SMELL AND A WET SPOT ON THE PAVEMENT UNDER THE FUEL TANK. I HAVE SMELLED THE GASOLINE PREVIOUSLY BUT DIDN'T NOTIC THE LEAK UNTIL I HAD SOMETHING TO UNLOAD FROM MY TRUNK.

  THE ENGINE "AUTO STOP" FEATURE CAN HAVE ENOUGH OF A DELAY TO ALLOW THE ACCELERATOR TO BE PRESSED AS THE ENGINE STARTS CAUSING IT TO LURCH FORWARD RATHER THAN ACCELERATE SMOOTHLY. IT ALSO CAN CAUSE A DELAY WHEN PULLING OUT INTO HEAVY TRAFFIC. THERE IS CURRENTLY NO WAY TO TEMPORARILY OR PERMANENTLY DEFEAT THE SYSTEM ON THIS GM MODEL ACCORDING TO GM SERVICE DEPARTMENT. THOUGH I AM SURE IT IS OPERATING AS DESIGNED FOR CERTAIN OWNER DRIVING STYLES AND TRAFFIC CONDITIONS THIS CAN BE A SERIOUS HAZARD. CAR MAKERS SHOULD BE REQUIRED TO EITHER DISABLE THE FEATURE PERMANENTLY BY OWNER REQUEST OR HAVE A METHOD FOR THE OWNER TO BYPASS THE SYSTEM. WITH LESS THAN 250 MILES I HAVE EXPERIENCED 2 INCIDENTS OF ALMOST HITTING THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME FROM A STOP AND 1 OF ALMOST BEING HIT PULLING INTO HEAVY TRAFFIC FROM A STOP. I SEE MANY OTHER SIMILAR COMPLAINTS AND HOPE THIS CAN BE ADDRESSED BEFORE SOMEONE IS HURT OR WORSE DUE TO IT. WHILE STOPPED AT A RAILROAD CROSSING WITH AUTO STOP THE ENGINE UNEXPECTEDLY STARTED AS A/C COMPRESSOR TURNED ON CAUSING THE CAR TO LURCH FORWARD TOWARD THE MOVING TRAIN. ALMOST A MAJOR NEAR DEATH ISSUE.

  Repaired a friend's vehicle that had a total brake failure. Vehicle only has 50k miles and no brake repair history. Blew all of the brake fluid out of the stainless braided line coming from master cylinder rear brake channel to abs module. Found the line coming from the front channel to master cylinder also starting to fray and come apart as well. Did not blow out yet. No evidence of brake lines rubbing on any components or that anything has been apart or touched before. Line looks to have failed from the inside out.

  I was at a stop light, the light turned green and I proceeded to lift my foot off of the break giving the vehicle a moment to autostart, I pressed the accelerator, and the car started to make a sputtering sound and tremble terribly. The vehicle's engine shut down in the middle of traffic, no warning lights appeared on my dash board. The power of the vehicle was still on. I placed the car in park, then I turned the power off. I tried to restart the vehicle this time the vehicle continued to shake and sputter but it did not move when I placed the gear in Drive. I had to be pushed put of the road by the Police and then towed to the dealer. The service engineer at the Chevy Dealership was able to start the engine and take it for a test drive, the vehicle also shut done on him but also left him with no ability to use the breaks. He was unable to stop. Thankfully no one was in front of him or behind him he was able to have the vehicle towed back to the service bay. I was told that the break vacuum pump disintegrated and went into the engine cam shaft. That caused the engine to completely shut down. I believe this is a safety issue as no sensor or engine codes ever displayed and the dealership took 2weeks to diagnose what was wrong because they were not getting any codes displayed on their diagnostic equipment. There was no way for me to know this break vacuum pump was failing to be able to proactively replace it to prevent this serious malfunction from occurring. I could have been seriously injured and cause a horrible accident as I was headed to the highway that morning. I would like to be contacted in regard to this.

  I would like to bring to your attention the maintenance issue I experienced as it could have been catastrophic. On December 15, 2022 I was driving home from work in Dallas. I was going about 40 mph when the vehicle in front of me started to slow down, so I was going to as well. However, when I tried to, my brake pedal wouldn’t move. I tried again and still nothing. Now my engine light comes on and a “service brake assist” warning is popping up on my dash. I took my foot off the gas to slow down in time and was able to pull to the side of the road.   Symptoms started, changing gears while driving, delayed start at lights on a slant, stalled acceleration on interstate from slowspeed ——-took it in and they said the accumulator is bad and has likely messed up the transmission. They recommended a new transmission for $7000+. Researched and found many 2019s had been recalled for this issue, in 2022, but this one was not. I am wondering why it was not, because now I have a bad transmission at 150,000 miles. Why was this vin not recalled in 2022.

  The contact owned a 2019 Chevrolet Equinox. The contact stated that while driving at 25 MPH, when the vehicle in front stopped suddenly, the contact depressed the brake pedal, and the vehicle failed to respond as intended. The vehicle slowed down; however, it did not stop. The contact depressed the brake pedal twice, and the vehicle failed to respond and rear-ended the vehicle in front, where it came to a stop. The contact was unsure whether there was a warning light illuminated. All the air bags were deployed. A police report was filed. The contact sustained minor injuries that did not require medical attention. The vehicle was towed to an unknown location. The insurance company was notified, and the vehicle was declared a total loss. The contact related the failure to  NHTSA Campaign Number: 19V704000 (SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC). However, the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.

THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED WITH A BURNING PLASTIC ODOR. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED A SECOND TIME THAT THE TURBO NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS LATER TAKEN TO ROGER DEAN CHEVROLET (101 SW PINE ISLAND RD, CAPE CORAL, FL 33991, (239) 74-3326) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TURBO FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 6,000.

  Vehicle runs with reduced engine power. Was initially told the turbo needed cleaned, and it continued to happen. Then was told it needed to be replaced. The final result is that the tube that connects to the turbo keeps falling off. Being told there is no fix, and no recall, we just need to keep putting it back on when it pops off.

THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 11,345.

  In FMVSS 138, it says that the tire pressure monitoring system will warn drivers of under inflated tires. My TPMS system failed on my MY19 Chevrolet Equinox around 49,000 miles and no longer warns me of underinflated tires for all four tires. To fix it I would have to pay out of pocket costs starting at $732, per the dealership, on a safety critical system that should not fail at 6 years/49,000 miles. There is no recall issued after a check of my VIN. Since 1974, the OEM has had a responsibility to provide a free remedy for safety defects and noncompliance. In 2015, the free remedy was changed from 10 years to 15 years by the FAST Act.

  The contact owns a 2019 Chevrolet Equinox. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the contact became aware of a fuel-like odor coming from the driver’s side of the vehicle. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed and determined that the sealed seam had failed and the fuel tank needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The dealer was contacted; however, the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 89,000.

Dumb. Micheal Bates dealership say I’m responsible for the parts and repairs, because is no warranty, which are about the car used repairs, all internal damage to engine.

  WHILE DRIVING MY VEHICLE FROM WORK TO HOME, THE CONTROLS ON MY STEERING WHEEL FOR MY STEREO STOPPED WORKING. THE VOLUME STARTED GOING UP AND DOWN AND THE CHANNELS STARTED CHANGING. I TURNED MY RADIO OFF AND BACK ON AND IT IMMEDIATELY CONTINUED. I CALLED ONSTAR AND ASKED THEM IF THEY COULD DETERMINE IF ANYONE WAS REMOTELY CONTROLLING MY RADIO AND SHE TOLD ME THAT THEY HAD NO WAY TO DETERMINE THAT AND I WOULD HAVE TO CONTACT MY DEALER. I DISCONNECTED MY PHONE FROM MY CAR, TURNED OFF THE WIFI AND BLUETOOTH SETTINGS ON MY PHONE AND THE VEHICLE AND CONTINUED DRIVING HOME. THE VOLUME CHANGED A FEW MORE TIMES AND WHEN I GOT HOME I SHUT MY CAR OFF. I HAD TO DRIVE IT AGAIN ABOUT 15 MINUTES LATER BUT NOTHING HAPPENED THAT TIME. I DROVE ABOUT 20 MILES WHILE DEALING WITH THE RADIO GOING CRAZY THE WHOLE TIME.

  Intellibeam feature is not dimming the lights when oncoming vehicles are present or there are vehicles in front of me. This has happened twice now in cold weather only (late November/early December) in Michigan. Also, they do not dim while driving when it's snowing. I have tried to disengage the feature using the button on the left stalk on the steering wheel but the button doesn't seem to turn the feature on or off. This issue could be affecting other drivers as the high beam lights are on as they pass or travel in front of me. Eventually the feature seems to work properly once the vehicle has been driven for 15-20 minutes.

  The brake vacuum booster failed, causing the brake assist system to malfunction. Yes, the component is available for inspection upon request. While merging onto the highway, the brake pedal became extremely tight, making it difficult to slow down or stop, creating a hazardous situation. Yes, the issue was confirmed by a service center, and the brake vacuum booster is being repaired. No, the vehicle and component have not been inspected by these parties, but the service center is addressing the repair. Yes, a “Service Brake Assist” warning appeared immediately before the brake pedal tightened. Afterward, the check engine light came on.

The mechanic associated the failure with NHTSA Campaign Number: 19V667000 (Fuel System, Gasoline) however, the VIN was not included. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. A dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was 46,568.

  I JUST PURCHASED A 2019 CHEVY EQUINOX PREMIER AND I FOUND WATER IN THE SPARE TIME WHEEL WELL. AFTER SOME INVESTIGATION, I FOUND THERE IS A WATER LEAK CAUSING WATER TO SPILL ON THE FUSE BOX LOCATED IN THE BACK PANEL ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE. THIS IS CERTAINLY A SAFETY ISSUE IF THE FUSE PANEL SHORTS OUT, ESPECIALLY IF IT HAPPENS WHILE DRIVING.

  While safely driving under normal conditions, I attempted to slow my vehicle down while approaching a vehicle that was making a right turn into a parking lot. Upon trying to apply the brakes, I was met with resistance (Hard brake pedal) which prevented my vehicle from properly slowing down. This was caused by a failed/malfunctioning brake booster/vacuum pump. Since I was driving at a safe distance, I managed to barely avoid colliding with the rear of the car making the turn, however, that miss was extremely narrow. My vehicle barely slowed down when the brakes were applied which, had I been on the interstate or traveling at a higher rate of speed, would have more than likely resulted in a collision. This DEFINITELY puts myself, my wife, and our 2 children's safety at risk. Once I successfully parked the vehicle, a "Service Brake Assist" warning messaged appeared for the 1st time. I began researching/attempting to diagnose the issue. During this time I came across several articles detailing a recall issued by GM describing the exact same issue with the brake booster/pump, ironically however, it only covered vehicle produced through 2018. I then contacted GM customer service to alert the manufacturer and see how they would rectify the situation. I was informed that my vehicle had no open recalls and was out of warranty & there was nothing they could do for me.(handwritten call log can be provided upon request) When I contacted the dealership, they informed me they were unable to see the vehicle until the 1st week in Dec. I was left to take it to my local mechanic who, upon his diagnosis, informed me that it was the vacuum pump that had failed. As previously stated, there were no warnings prior to the failure. The "Service Brake Assist" appeared AFTER I managed to safely get my vehicle to a parking spot.

  Drove car down street and the car wouldn’t accelerate. Had towed to mechanic who found the direct injection high pressure fuel pump snapped off. When removed from vehicle they found broken bolt in cylinder head and the steel fuel line from pump to injector rail leaking fuel.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AN OPEN A CASE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 15,000.

  The contact owns a 2019 Chevrolet Equinox. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle inadvertently lost motive power. The contact was able to pull over to the shoulder of the roadway, where the failure persisted. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, who diagnosed a failure with the camshaft, resulting in damage to the engine. The contact was informed that the engine needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, a case was opened, and the contact was referred to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was 72,000.

  The vacuum pump blew apart and sent shrapnel into the cam shaft and valve cover. Yes it is available for inspection because it’s still down. Our safety was put at risk because we were coming off the freeway and our brakes basically went out. We have an estimate from the dealer for $1,926.87. No warning at all!!

  I see that she is a leak from my fuel tank, so when i researched it online i see there was a recall on it previously. From my understanding this is a safety hazard. It also states there arent any open recalls on my vehicle but i want to make sure this was completed and replaced.

  The vacuum pump failed, which left me without power brakes while slowing down on an interstate exit ramp. There were no warnings or indications of failure in advance. The brakes were fine as I got on the interstate, then I became aware of the problem as I exited about 30 minutes later. I nearly rear-ended the car in front of me as we approached the stoplight. Without power brakes, much more force than usual was necessary to come to a stop safely. This is a very dangerous situation as elderly or physically disabled drivers may find it very challenging to apply enough force to come to a stop, especially when slowing down from 70+ MPH interstate speeds. Metal pieces broke off from the vacuum pump and caused damage to the cam shaft. While reviewing some YouTube videos on the topic, I discovered I'm not the only Equinox owner to experience this type of failure around 5x,xxx to 6x,xxx miles for the 2019 or similar model years.   LCD screen as part of the infotainment system blanks out then repeatedly restarts. This goes for the entire drive. The GPS is not picking up the correct temperature and reports in Celsius not Fahrenheit. I'm not able to use any of the infotainment features including not being able to use the phone feature. Also the radio volume increases and decreases on its own. All of this is very distracting as I drive.

  Headlight aim is too high, blinding oncoming drivers. Dealer says that the headlight aim on this vehicle is not adjustable. When I am driving at night oncoming drivers are constantly flashing their lights at me, but my lights are on low beam.

  I bought my 2019 Chevrolet Equinox brand new from Chevrolet dealership. I was driving to pick up passengers. As I drove on too the customers property I pick up my passenger in a wooded area I had to drive up a steep hill. Then I backed up into the next drive path, as I was making my turn to go forward to leave, I tried to backup to make a clear turn but my reverse gave out on me. Something got lodged under my vehicle as I was going forward I got stuck in a ditch on there property. I called me wife and she came to pick me up, I contacted my insurance to request a tow truck and waited 45 minutes but no one showed up. Two of the customer neighbor pulled me out using their tow strap attacked to their 4×4 truck.

  I was driving down a driveway with a slight incline. I pressed the brakes and they were very hard to press and vehicle would not stop until I collided with a wall. This is the fourth time that this has happened in the last two years. Each time it has been the brake booster vacuum pump which my mechanics have said is a common problem with this vehicle. One of the previous times my daughter was driving on the highway when the brakes failed and she ended up in a ditch off the shoulder. This is very dangerous and someone is going to get killed if it hasn't happened already.

  TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2019 CHEVROLET EQUINOX. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 65 MPH, THE ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL SHUT OFF AND THE "ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL NOT AVAILABLE" INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE FAILURE RECURRED SEVERAL TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO DUNLAP MOTORS (866-715-7154, LOCATED AT 520 1ST STREET EAST, INDEPENDENCE, IA 50644) WHERE THE COMPUTER SYSTEM WAS REPROGRAMMED. THE FAILURE RECURRED AND THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE SAME DEALER WHO REPROGRAMMED THE COMPUTER AGAIN. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 2,000. *PM CONSUMER STATES EACH TIME FAILURE OCCURRED NO CARS WERE AHEAD OF THEM BUT THE VEHICLE WOULD BRAKE ABRUPTLY. ON 12/17/19 A MONITOR WAS PLACED IN VEHICLE BY THE MANUFACTURER, BUT THEY HAVE NOT HEARD ANYTHING BACK ABOUT IT. CONSUMER STATES THAT THEY HAVE ALSO EXPERIENCED ISSUES WITH THE PHONE, RADIO AND REAR DEFROSTER. THIS LEADS THEM TO THINK THAT SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH THE WIRING IN THE VEHICLE. *DL

  The vaccum pump for the braking system exploded in the cam shaft. Check system brake assist came up on the dash. The power brakes were non operational making it incredibly difficult to stop and increasing the distance by at least double. This is a 'known' issue with chevrolet but they have chosen NOT to issue a recall.

  The car was purchased February of 2019. The car has been stalling, car has shut completely down, and the car decrease speed sometimes while on the expressway which can be life-threatening. Not to mention that the radio freezes and the windows also gets stuck sometimes. It was reported to the car lot where the car was purchased as well as GM. the car was taken into Homewood Chevrolet where they stated that it was only a spark plug which is not true. I know that the car is having intermittent problems. They were suppose to an extensive check and I am positive that it was NOT done. There is an electrical and transit engine related issue that is not being addressed

  My wife started noticing issues with our 2019 Equinox. We got several error mesaages: service brakes, service sylteering, enigine light and abs. I did some digging online and found similar issues with other Equinox owners. The fix is to replace the battery. We did and after leaving the shop the car won't move. It will go into differnt gears but wont move and is currently at home in our driveway.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE LOW BEAM AND HIGH BEAM HEADLIGHTS WERE AIMED INCORRECTLY. THE FAILURE TO ILLUMINATE THE ROADWAY PROPERLY CAUSED A DRIVING HAZARD WHILE DRIVING IN LOW LIGHT CONDITIONS. THE CONTACT WAS ALSO CONCERNED THAT AFTER STARTING THE VEHICLE AND WALKING AWAY WITH THE KEYFOB, THE VEHICLE SHUT-OFF INDEPENDENTLY. THE VHICLE WAS TAKEN TO DYER CHEVROLET (4200 SOUTH US HIGHWAY 1 FORT PIERCE, FLORIDA, 34982, (772)-461-4800) TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE HEADLIGHTS WERE NOT ADJUSTABLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE VEHICLE OPERATED AS DESIGNED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 10,300.

  The contact owns a 2019 Chevrolet Equinox. The contact stated that while depressing the brake pedal, there was an abnormal grinding sound coming from the rear brakes. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact had taken the vehicle to an independent mechanic who diagnosed the vehicle and determined that the rear brake pads and rotors needed to be replaced. The contact completed the work himself. The contact recently took the vehicle the vehicle in for service at a dealer and was informed that the rear brakes and calipers would need to be replaced soon. The contact stated that the pads and rotors had been replaced approximately one year ago, and the vehicle was not driven daily. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact researched online and related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 18V576000 (Service Brakes, Hydraulic); however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The manufacturer was not informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 50,000.

  I had an issue starting the vehicle. Once it started the check engine light was lit. I stopped at the nearest Autozone for a diagnostic check and the code P00C6 registered for Fuel Pump. I had the vehicle checked by a mechanic and he explained to me this vehicle has (2) fuel pumps. One in the fuel tank and one on the engine, which is considered a high pressure fuel pump. That is where the failure is and the pump requires special tools to install. It is something they can not do and recommend the vehicle go to the dealer.   Gas gauge will not go all the way to full. It stops just over 3/4 of a tank, no matter how much fuel you put in the tank. There is no way to accurately determine how much fuel is in the vehicle at any point and time. This is a safety hazard because we could be stranded on the side of the road, not knowing the vehicle would run out of fuel. Also, occasionally when you crank the vehicle, you get a strong odor of fuel in the cabin, when running the A/C. There is nothing specific that is being done differently, and it does not happen every time. We bought this vehicle on 9/18/22 with 27,602 miles on it and as of today, it has 28,594 miles on it. After purchasing it, we noticed the fuel gauge issue and I researched it online, finding out it is a common issue and GM claims to have no idea how to fix it.

  OUR COLLEGE AGE DAUGHTER HAD A POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS PROBLEM RECENTLY INVOLVING HER BRAND NEW 2019 CHEVY EQUINOX LOSING POWER IN THE MIDDLE OF TRAFFIC ON THE EXPRESSWAY! SHE CALLED ME CRYING AND FRANTIC SAYING THAT A TRACTOR-TRAILER WAS RIGHT BEHIND HER WHEN THIS HAPPENED. SHE MANAGED TO PULL OVER TO AN EXIT AND PARK IN A NEARBY PLAZA PARKING LOT. WHEN I GOT THERE AND DROVE THE CAR THE TACH WAS UP OVER 2,000 RPM'S BUT THE CAR WAS ONLY GOING ABOUT 15 MPH! I DECIDED IT WAS UNSAFE TO DRIVE SO WE HAD IT FLATBEDDED TO THE DEALERSHIP WHERE WE LEASED THE VEHICLE. THERE AN EXPERIENCED TECH OPENED THE HOOD AND SHOWED US EXACTLY WHAT THE PROBLEM WAS. HE SAID THE HOSE FROM THE TURBO-CHARGER HAD COME LOOSE! AND THAT WITHOUT THAT HOOKED UP TO THE ENGINE, THE ENGINE WOULD HAVE LOST ABOUT 80% OF ITS POWER! WE WERE REALLY UPSET THAT THIS HAPPENED ON A BRAND NEW EQUINOX WITH ONLY 500 MILES ON IT! OUR DAUGHTER COULD HAVE BEEN KILLED!
