  CONVERTIBLE TOP REAR WINDOW DELAMINATES DUE TO FAULTY DESIGN AND/OR INSUFFICIENT BONDING OF GLASS TO FABRIC MATERIAL OF TOP. THIS HAS HAPPENED TO MY CAR TWICE WITHIN LESS THAN A YEAR. TOP WAS REPLACED ONCE AND NOW I NEED IT REPLACED AGAIN. GLASS COULD POTENTIALLY FALL INWARD TO INJURE A PASSENGER OR FALL OUT ONTO THE ROADWAY OR INTO A FOLLOWING VEHICLE. SO FAR GM'S SOLUTION HAS BEEN TO REPLACE THE CONVERTIBLE TOP WITH ANOTHER DEFECTIVE TOP.

  CAME IN DUE TO AN EXHAUST RATTLE ISSUE ON MY VEHICLE. THE ISSUE WAS DUPLICATED BY THE DEALERSHIP, AND THEY INFORMED ME THAT THERE IS A LEAK IN THE EXHAUST SYSTEM THAT IS CAUSING THIS RATTLE NOISE. THE LEAK IS IN THE CENTER OF THE EXHAUST PIPE, UNDERNEATH THE CENTER CONSOLE. I WAS TOLD BY THE DEALERSHIP THAT THE VEHICLE IS SAFE TO OPERATE, HOWEVER THAT IS NOT MY EXPERIENCE. THERE IS EXCESSIVE NOISE COMING FROM THE EXHAUST CAUSING DISTURBANCE IN MY NEIGHBORHOOD, AND ALSO THE SMELL OF EXHAUST GAS IS AT TIMES APPARENT IN THE CABIN. THIS ISSUE HAS NOT BEEN RESOLVED FOR OVER 2 MONTHS NOW, WITH DEALERSHIP CONTINUING TO PUSH THE DELIVERY DATE OF THE PART ON A WEEKLY BASIS, WITHOUT PROVIDING ANY INTERIM SOLUTION TO ADDRESS THE PROBLEM UNTIL THE PART IS AVAILABLE.

  I have a 2018 Camaro Convertible. There is a known issue with the convertible tops on these cars. The rear glass separates from the top because of a manufacturing defect. I was told this is not a recall but other Camaro owners reported that GM replaced the top for them at no cost if you make a formal complaint/request. I reached out to GM directly and they told me to visit this webites instead. I am attaching photos.

  Since I’ve purchased this vehicle I have been having issues with the transmission and engine providing the accurate amount of power as it relates to the acceleration. The persistent issue is the gear shifting lags and rumbles my vehicle each time I accelerate up a hill, accelerating from g20-30mph and it rumbles the gear. I was told the diagnosis was with the spark plugs having an issue on multiple occasions. I’ve changed the spark plugs several times along with maintaining everything else within the vehicle. This problem still persist. In 2019 my vehicle stopped on the road and the issue pointed to the computer module. I got the module replaced but the problem still persisted. This is unacceptable and there needs to be an investigation done as my car has shut down due to this issue, lost power in mid-traffic and who knows what else issues this is causing. If there is not proper function in this area then it will be detrimental to the safety of the driver. I also have records of my visits at the dealer as I brought this to their attention but was brushed off as it being a spark plug issue.

THE CONTACT WAS UNAWARE OF THE CAUSE OF THE SMOKE. THE CONTACT ATTEMPTED TO UNLOCK THE TRUNK OF THE VEHICLE HOWEVER, THE TRUNK FAILED TO UNLOCK. THE CONTACT STATED THAT AFTER A WHILE, THE SMOKE EVENTUALLY DISSIPATED. RICK HENDRICKS CHEVROLET OF ATLANTA (3277 SATELLITE BLVD, DULUTH, GA 30096, (678)497-4598) WAS CONTACTED AND THE CONTACT WAS ADVISED TO TOW THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED BY THE SERVICE ADVISOR THAT THE FUSE BOX WAS COMPLETELY CORRODED DUE TO WATER INTRUSION INSIDE OF THE TRUNK OF THE VEHICLE IN NEAR PROXIMITY TO THE FUSE PANEL. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE FUSE BOX, WIRING HARNESS, AND A MODULE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED HOWEVER, THREE MONTHS LATER THE SAME FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE SAME DEALER HOWEVER, THERE WERE NO ADDITIONAL REPAIRS PERFORMED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 41,441.

  ON OR ABOUT NOVEMBER 26, 2020, AT 1:30 AM WHILE DRIVING ON I-30 WESTBOUND IN TEXARKANA, TX TRAVELING AT THE POSTED SPEED OF 75 MPH IN A 2018 CAMARO ZL1. THE TRANSMISSION BLEW OUT WHILE IN CRUISE CONTROL AND ALL SYSTEMS THAT TRANSMIT POWER FROM THE ENGINE OR PROPULSION DEVICE TO THE WHEELS WERE LOST AND THE VEHICLE HAD TO COAST ONTO THE EMERGENCY SHOULDER UNTIL IT CAME TO A COMPLETE STOP AWAY FROM ONCOMING TRAFFIC. I HAD CONTACTED CHEVY EMERGENCY ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE THROUGH THE VEHICLES ONSTAR AND THIS SERVICE WAS OF NO AVAIL. AS AN ALTERNATIVE I HAD TO UTILIZE TRIPLE A IN ORDER TO HAVE THE VEHICLE TOWED TO ORR CHEVROLET SERVICE DEPARTMENT TEXARKANA, TX THIS VEHICLE SERIES HAS THE TR6060 TRANSMISSION IS FOR 6 SPEED MANUALS WHICH IS MANUFACTURED BY TREMEC CONTAINS DEVICES AND SYSTEMS THAT TRANSMIT POWER FROM THE ENGINE OR PROPULSION DEVICE TO THE WHEELS. THEREFORE, WHEN SHIFTING BETWEEN NEUTRAL, 1ST - 2ND GEAR AND BACK TO NEUTRAL ENCOUNTERED NUMEROUS EVENTS WHEREIN THE SHIFTING MECHANISM GRINDS AND/OR DROPS BACK INTO NEUTRAL WHILE THE VEHICLE IS IN MOTION, WITH NOTABLE FLUTTERING OF THE SHIFTER AND RUBBING OR FRICTION NOISE THIS IS ASSOCIATED WITH THE SYNCHRONIZERS.   I was in a hit and run accident and my car was totaled. I had a passenger and her airbags deployed but the driver side didn't. I had reported that the service airbag alert was on when I first got the vehicle at carmax and they told us to take it to the chevy service center . I picked up the car a few days later and was told that it was fixed but after the accident , I'm sure it wasnt.

  Loss of power steering, particularly mid-turn and at low speeds. Steering becomes very difficult and greatly increases risk of crash. I have had several instances where my power steering will go out mid-turn and the steering wheel becomes almost impossible to turn. I have nearly t-boned another car due to this issue. It has also nearly caused me to drive off the road into a ditch. I did not notice any warning lights on the dashboard, but it's hard to say because I was focused on not crashing the car.

  I lose power steering randomly. When this occurs I get a service rear diff message on my dash, the fan motor cuts out, and gauges like the speedometer and tachometer go to zero. I took it to a dealer because I saw there was a recall for the exact problem I'm having with power steering, but I guess it's VIN specific and my car is not included in the recall. They also told me they couldn't get it to reproduce the symptoms I was talking about but after I left 10 minutes later it did it in a Walmart parking lot. I got it on video. This has caused one almost serious accident and multiple minor ones, and I can't afford the expensive dealer diagnostic fee and repair. I don't feel safe driving with it. I'm confused why I have the same make model and year of the recall but mine's not included. I called GM and the lady I talked to just kept repeating how my van wasn't included in the VIN specific group, and offered no help other than to go to a dealer and pay them to fix the same problem that is covered by other cars of the same year, make, and model. I asked her if it was possible that maybe their VIN groups should be expanded, especially because it's an 8 year old car and the recall just happened like 6 months ago, so maybe they didnt have all the data or info when they made the group of effected vehicles, and she hung up on me. Please help.

  THIS IS TO DOCUMENT AND REPORT THAT I PURCHASED MY 2018 CHEVY CAMARILLO ON APRIL 15, 2020 WITH 18,000 MILES. MY CAR ACCIDENT OCCURRED ON AUGUST 20, 2020 AT APPROXIMATELY 6:15PM. IT WAS A CLEAR EVENING AS I WAS ON MY WAY HOME FROM WORK. I WAS STOPPED AT THE INTERSECTION, READY TO TURN RIGHT TO CATCH THE FREEWAY ENTRANCE. AS I PROCEEDED TO TURN RIGHT, FROM A TWO LANE RIGHT TURN LANE, I RELEASED MY FOOT FROM THE BRAKE AND BEGAN ATTEMPTING THE RIGHT HAND TURN. THE STEERING WHEEL BECAME DRASTICALLY HARDER AND ULTIMATELY IMPOSSIBLE TO TURN TO CONTROL CAUSING ME TO HOP THE CENTER ISLE HITTING A CENTER DIVIDER. A CHP OFFICER PATROLLING THE AREA, WHO WITNESSED THE ACCIDENT, CONFIRMED I WAS NOT SPEEDING AS HE NOTED THERE WERE NO SIGNS OF TREAD MARKS TO SUGGESTS I WAS SPEEDING. ADDITIONALLY, NO ACCIDENT REPORT WAS TAKEN. BY PURE LUCK, I DID NOT HIT OR INJURE ANOTHER VEHICLE OR PROPERTY. I DID HOWEVER, SUSTAIN BRUISING FROM THE AIRBAGS DEPLOYING, BACK PAIN AND OTHER ACHES. I REVIEWED THE HISTORY OF THE CHEVY CAMERON'S TO CONFIRM THAT ALTHOUGH NOT A RECALL AT THE TIME OF MY ACCIDENT, I TRULY AND HIGHLY ENCOURAGE THAT THE 2018S ALSO BE LOOKED AT FOR THE SAME RECALLS ISSUED WITH THE 2016 AND 2017 RECALLS.

  Engine began to shudder as if the engine wants to turn off. It can also feel as if there is some issues with the drive axles. It leads to loss of power of the engine. The loss of power goes away upon shutting the engine off and turning it back on however the check engine light remains on and the error code p0420 displays on the reader.

  The contact owns a 2018 Chevrolet Camaro. The contact stated while driving approximately 55 MPH, the transmission shuddered. No warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was not drivable and was towed to the residence. The dealer was contacted, and the contact was informed that the vehicle was not under warranty. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the transmission fluid needed to be flushed and refilled. The independent mechanic made the contact aware of Technical Service Bulletin Number: 18-NA-355. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and confirmed that the VIN was included in Technical Service Bulletin Number: 18-NA-355. The failure mileage was approximately 26,530.

  WHEN USING THE WINDSHIELD DEFROSTER, INSTEAD OF CLEARING THE CONDENSATION, IT CREATES A VERY THICK AREA OF CONDENSATION ON THE INSIDE OF THE WINDSHIELD, REGARDLESS OF TEMPERATURE SETTING OR FAN SPEED. I HAVE TO CARRY A MICRO FIBER CLOTH TO CLEAR THIS CONDENSATION REPEATEDLY, EVEN WHILE DRIVING.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS TRAMLINING WHICH WAS A NATURAL VEHICLE RESPONSE TO THE ROAD SURFACE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 18,000.

  The power steering failed on June 17th, 2025 At approximately 3 PM. The system has been replaced by the local dealership so it is not available for inspection (dealership did it's own evaluation/inspection and determined the need for replacement). The vehicle was being driven when the power steering failed, so my safety and the safety of others on the same roadways was put at risk (fortunately, I was only about 1.5 miles from home). Prior to replacing the necessary parts, the local dealership reproduced and confirmed the problem was present (documentation to follow). The local dealership inspected the vehicle. As no accident occurred, local law enforcement and insurance representatives have not been involved. No warning lamps or messages or other symptoms of the problem occurred prior to the failure. A warning message was displayed once the failure occurred.

  MY CONVERTIBLE TOP REAR WINDOW IS STARTING TO COME OUT. THE GLUE IS SEPARATING AND I HAVE SEEN 20 PLUS TOPS THAT ARE DOING THE SAME THING. THE DEALER SAYS THERE IS NO RECALL THE GLASS SHOP SAYS IT'S AN ABSOLUTE SAFETY HAZARD IT COULD BLOW OUT ON THE FREEWAY. THERE ARE PLENTY OF FORAMS TALKING ABOUT THIS ISSUE AS WELL. APPARENTLY THE TOP AND GLASS ARE ONE PIECE SO THE WHOLE TOP NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. THIS SHOULD BE A RECALL ISSUE AS IT IS SAFETY-RELATED. SOMEBODY COULD GET HURT IF THAT GLASS FLIES OUT ON THE FREEWAY

The contact stated that the steering wheel seized. The vehicle was towed to the dealer where it was diagnosed with steering gear failure. The contact was informed that the steering gear needed to be replaced and reprogrammed. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact referenced an unknown recall repair; however, the VIN was not associated with the unknown recall. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 92,276.

Additionally, the message "Service Power Steering Assist" was displayed. The contact referenced NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V175000 (Steering); however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed with power steering failure. The vehicle was repaired out of pocket. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 14,000.

  The oil pump failed which caused to replace the engine as the oil pump is located in the engine. Pieces of metal from the oil pump failure went into the engine which could cause serious crash. I have paperwork from a shop indicating the issue. I have replaced my long block engine which was ordered from the independent mechanic shop who has ordered it from a GM reseller company. No warning signs other then the oil pump went to zero during a drive on [XXX] . I have an invoice and emails going back and forth with GM.   Rack and pinion system failed. I lost steering while driving on the highway almost causing me to crash. I called gm about taking in my car because i saw there was a recall on my year and model for this issue but when i gave them my vin number they said mine was not included. I asked them if my car is having the same issue as the recall and my year and model was recalled how can they tell me my vin number is not on the recall, they told me it was not so they could not fix it. It was looked at by a steering shop and there verified that the assist power steering motor was broke ( the assist motor is what the recall was done for by gm). There was a light that came on the first time and has everytime i start the car ( Service power Steering).

  Car feels like you are driving over rumble strips when the road is clearly smooth. Tried buying new tires and nothing would fix it. Then looked online and found many thousands of people having same issue that has affected all gm 8 speed transmissions for several years. There is a TSB (Technical Service Bulletin) 18-NA-355 on it due to how many people have had this issue. It explains that GM was using fluid that had water issues in it causing all these issues and that the fix is to have it flushed out and replaced with something better. GM was replacing the fluid themselves on unsold vehicles but any that were sold are apparently on their own as they want well over $600 to replace the fluid due to their incompetence. I get that things happen but companies should own up to their mistakes and just fix them. Not asking for anything special just fix your mistake and call it good. Called them and they just want to give a generic response of "you should get that looked at and fixed". Have been a large family of GM only vehicles but we have bought our last one.

  [XXX] Here is a link that explains this further. The oil pump on this vehicle has gone out with 11,000 miles on it. This a known problem from GM and they will not fix it. I am being told my car is out of warranty so no luck. This is not right. The pump should not go out that quick. I am being thrown to the side because I cherished my GM vehicle and didn't drive it as much as others. It risks blowing up the motor due to their faulty part. It isn't safe.   The contact owns a Chevrolet Camaro. The contact stated that while driving approximately 75 MPH, the power steering system failed, and the steering wheel became very stiff. The vehicle veered to the side of the road where it was restarted and driven to the residence. Additionally, the contact stated that the power steering warning light might have been illuminated.   The car had a partial oil pump failure where oil pressure dropped 30% in 2 days at 14k miles while under warranty. car was taken to dealership where I was denied service. they said I put the wrong oil in it and "installed the oil filter wrong". I cant even think of a way that is possible. they changed the oil and filter and pushed me out the door. Tt 18.6k miles the pump completely gave out and had zero oil pressure while driving, which destroyed the engine. A quick search online will yeild plenty of instances where the 18+ camaro ZL1 has had oil pump falures.

  Glass window in rear of convertible top is separating from the top. I am concerned it will completely separate while driving and strike another vehicle on the highway. The issue was there when purchased (NEW from dealer), just did not know what the bubbles meant. This vehicle has less than 40,000 mile, and window is ~25% separated.
