  While braking and attempting a left turn at an intersection, my vehicle completely shut down with no braking or steering control. Fortunately there were no damages and the vehicle started up again and I was able to clear the intersection. I took the vehicle to an authorized dealer for repair. They indicated that this was a known issue and they were familiar with it. They installed a battery sensor and did brake work as they said there was air in the system. I paid for the repair and approximately a month later, while slowing down for a red signal, the same thing occurred, only this time my vehicle impacted another vehicle, causing damage to both vehicles. I had my vehicle towed to the shop that did the initial repair, but they said they could not find any codes that would indicate that their repairs were faulty.

The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic and the contact was informed that the connecting rod bearing was defective. The contact was instructed to no longer drive the vehicle. Upon investigation, the contact discovered that the vehicle was included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V751000 (Engine and Engine Cooling) which was linked to the failure. The local dealer was made aware of the issue and confirmed that parts were not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was approximately 93,000. VIN tool confirms parts not available.

  TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 ACURA TLX. THE CONTACT STATED THAT AFTER SHIFTING THE VEHICLE INTO REVERSE, THE BACK OVER PREVENTION CAMERA FAILED TO OPERATE AS DESIGNED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THERE WAS MOISTURE INSIDE THE LENS, CAUSING THE IMAGE TO BE BLURRY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE CAMERA SEAL FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 55,000.

  THE FOLLOWING PROBLEM HAS HAPPENED ABOUT 12 OR SO TIMES. I DIDN'T KEEP TRACK UNTIL IT WAS OBVIOUSLY AN ISSUE. I HAVE RECORDED IT ON VIDEO ABOUT HALF DOZEN TIMES AND PROVIDED THIS TO ACURA. WHILE DRIVING WITH THE ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL SET TO A SPEED I TOUCH THE BRAKE TO DISENGAGE THE CRUISE CONTROL. I THEN PRESS THE RESUME BUTTON TO RETURN TO CRUISE CONTROL. THE CRUISE CONTROL DOES NOT COME BACK ON, BUT THE INDICATOR ON THE DASHBOARD FLASHES (AS IF IT WERE COMING BACK ON) AND STAYS OFF. I'M UNABLE TO EVEN SET A NEW SPEED. FLIPPING THE TOGGLE TO RESUME OR SET DOES THE SAME THING, NOTHING. ON EVERY OCCASION THE ONLY WAY TO RESTORE THE CRUISE CONTROL TO WORK WAS TO STOP THE CAR, SHUT IT OFF, THEN RESTART THE CAR (REBOOT). ON ONE OCCASION, I HAD TO DO THE REBOOT PROCESS THREE TIMES TO RESTORE THE ABILITY TO USE THE CRUISE CONTROL. THE CAR HAS BEEN TO THE DEALER THREE TIMES BUT THEY CANNOT DUPLICATE THE ISSUE. IN ADDITION TO SEVERAL VIDEOS I TOOK ON TWO OCCASIONS I HAD PASSENGERS IN THE CAR WHO WITNESSED THIS. THIS HAS HAPPENED ON INTERSTATE HIGHWAYS, STATE ROADS, AND TOWN ROADS. IT HAS HAPPENED AT SPEEDS SET FROM ABOUT 30 MPH TO 74 MPH. IT HAPPENS DAY OR NIGHT, ON COLD AND HOT DAYS. I DON'T RECALL THAT IT HAS HAPPENED DURING RAIN. *TR

  The contact owns a 2016 Acura TLX. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle would jerk without warning. Upon investigation, the contact discovered NHTSA Campaign Number: 19V060000(Fuel System, Other) which the contact linked to the vehicle failure. The dealer was notified of the failure and an appointment was made for service. Before the vehicle was serviced, the contact stated that the vehicle stalled while making a left turn; as a result, another vehicle into the rear passenger side door. The air bags deployed upon impact, and no injuries were reported. A police report was filed. The vehicle was initially towed to an independent mechanic and was later towed to an Acura collision center where it remained in their possession. The manufacturer had yet to be notified of the failure. The vehicle had yet to be repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 100,000.

  The contact owns a 2016 Acura TLX. The contact stated while starting at an undisclosed speed, there was an abnormal knocking sound coming from the engine. There was no warning light illuminated. Additionally, the contact stated that while her son was driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle lost motive power. There was no warning illuminated. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed that the engine had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, where the long block and the torque converter were replaced. The contact later received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V751000 (Engine and Engine Cooling). The contact made the manufacturer aware of the failure and filed a claim for reimbursement; however, the claim was denied because the recall was related to engine Damage from Connecting Rod Bearing Wear. The approximate failure mileage was 136,141.

  WHILE TRAVELING 75 MPH ON INTERSTATE MULTIPLE / ALL WARNING LIGHTS SUDDENLY ILLUMINATED ON DASH BOARD AND THE CAR PLACED ITSELF INTO NEUTRAL FROM DRIVE POSITION. UPON COMING TO REST CAR WAS PLACED INTO PARK ALONG SHOULDER AND WHEN DRIVE WAS SELECTED IT WOULD NOT ENGAGE. VEHICLE WAS TURNED OFF AND ALLOWED TO SIT FOR SEVERAL MINUTES BEFORE RESTARTING AGAIN. AGAIN IT WOULD NOT ALLOW TO GO INTO DRIVE. TOW TRUCK WAS DISPATCHED AND AFTER ABOUT 30 MINUTES CAR WAS ABLE TO SHIFT INTO DRIVE. VEHICLE WAS THEN DRIVEN ABOUT 1/8 MILE ALONG SHOULDER TO VISIBLE REAR STOP ENTRANCE. WE WAITED FOR TOW TO TRUCK TO ARRIVE. CAR WAS RESTARTED AND WOULD NOT ENGAGE INTO DRIVE OR NEUTRAL WHEN ATTEMPTING TO LOAD ONTO TOW TRUCK. AFTER SEVERAL ATTEMPTS NEUTRAL AND DRIVE EVENTUALLY ENGAGED. CAR WAS TAKEN TO NEAREST DEALER JUST BEFORE CLOSE BEFORE MAJOR HOLIDAY. RECIEVED CALL FROM DEALER STATING THAT THE CAUSE OF ALL THIS WAS DEAD BATTERY. UNKNOWN TO THEM BATTERY WAS REPLACED Y MONTHS PRIOR. ALSO I HAVE DTS REPORT SHOWING MULTIPLE MALFUNCTIONS AND ERRORS. I FEEL THAT IF ALL THIS CAN HAPPEN BY HAVING A DEAD BATTERY (THAT SOMEHOW ALLOWS YOU TO RESTART YOUR CAR MULTIPLE TIMES AFTER INITIAL MALFUNCTION) THIS IS A HUGE SAFETY CONCERN. I CALLED DEALERSHIP BACK AND ASKED THEM TO DOUBLE CHECK DIAGNOSIS AND ALSO CHECK ALTERNATOR BEING THAT THE BATTERY IS ONLY 6 MONTHS OLD.

  WHILE DRIVING 30 MILES PER HOUR ON A CITY STREET, I NOTICED THE CAR STARTED WAS SHIFTING HARD. TWO MINUTES LATER, THE WARNING LIGHTS APPEARED "CHECK VSA SYSTEM", "CHECK PRECISION ALL WHEEL STEER SYSTEM", AND "CHECK TRANSMISSION" AND THE CAR WOULD NOT ACCELERATE. THIS HAPPENED AT 16,721 MILES. THE DIAGNOSIS WAS CRUMBS IN THE GEAR PANEL. ACURA SHOWED NO RECORD OF ME BRINGING MY CAR IN FOR THE SERVICE.

  DRIVING ON THE EXPRESSWAY AT 70 MPH, THE CAR STARTS SPUTTERING THEN DECELERATED, IT WOULD NOT ACCELERATE EVEN WHILE PRESSING THE GAS PEDAL. I PULLED OFF TO THE EMERGENCY LANE AND THE LIGHTS STARTED FLICKERING, WARNING LIGHTS APPEARED "CHECK HILL START ASSIST SYSTEM", "CHECK EMISSION SYSTEM", "CHECK POWER STEERING SYSTEM", "CHECK BRAKE HOLD SYSTEM", "CHECK BRAKE SYSTEM", AND "CHECK PARKING BRAKE SYSTEM". AFTER SITTING IN THE EMERGENCY LANE AFTER ABOUT 30 SECONDS, THE CAR SHUT OFF. EXTREMELY DANGEROUS SITUATION. IT WAS DIAGNOSED AS A BATTERY WITH A DEAD CELL. AMAZINGLY, OF ALL THE LIGHTS THAT ILLUMINATED, I NEVER RECEIVED ANY WARNING THAT I HAD DEAD BATTERY. THE BATTERY LIGHT DID NOT COME ON UNTIL THE OTHER WARNING LIGHTS CAME ON. THIS HAPPENED AT 35,246. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THE CAR HAS BEEN AT THE SERVICE CENTER IN LESS THAN 10 MONTHS.

  TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 ACURA TLX. WHILE DRIVING 70 MPH, THE HEADLIGHTS FAILED TO ILLUMINATE. THE HIGH BEAM LIGHTS WERE ACTIVATED, BUT ALSO FAILED TO ILLUMINATE THE ROAD ADEQUATELY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 3,000.

  The car would go in ACC mode while parked and running and warning lights would appear on the dash (pictured below). While parked and running, the car also accelerates up & down. I can visibly see the acceleration meter moving before the car goes into ACC. Also, while in the drive the car would go in neutral mode. I’ve called several dealerships and I have been put on a “waiting list” and have not heard back. At this point I’m scared for the safety of my children and 1. I have a 4 year old & currently 8 months pregnant. I’m not sure how to rectify this situation. It happens randomly but has been occurring more frequently.

  MY CAR STALLED WHILE DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE AT 75MPH. IT HAPPENED IN MAY, JULY, AND SEPTEMBER 2019. WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE LOST POWER AND WOULD NOT ACCELERATE. THE TACHOMETER REGISTERING THE RPMS DROPPED TO 1,000 AND STAYED THERE. AFTER PULLING OVER, SHUTTING THE CAR OFF, WAITING, AND RESTARTING THE CAR, THE VEHICLE PROCEEDED TO OPERATE AS NORMAL. MANY OF THE WARNING LIGHTS APPEARED DURING THIS INCIDENT. FINALLY, IN SEPTEMBER, MY CAR WAS UNDRIVEABLE AND HAD TO BE TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP. THE DETERMINATION WAS THAT THE CAR NEEDED A NEW ENGINE. I'M STILL AWAITING FOR THE REPAIRS TO BE COMPLETED AT THIS TIME (NOVEMBER 13, 2019).

  I TRIED TO START MY CAR AND IT MADE A WEIRD TICKING NOISE AS IF THE BATTERY WAS DEAD. ALL THE LIGHTS ON THE DASHBOARD TURNED ON AND THE CAR KEPT TELLING ME I NEEDED TO TURN OFF SOME SORT OF BRAKE SYSTEM IN ORDER FOR THE CAR TO WORK. I TURNED THE CAR OFF AND TRIED AGAIN, THIS TIME IT WOULD NOT START BUT AUTOMATICALLY TURNED ON TO ACCESSORY MODE. I HAD TO CALL MY CAR INSURANCE TO GIVE THE CAR A JUMP AND IT SEEMED TO DO THE TRICK, HOWEVER, HE NOTED THAT IT WASN'T THE BATTERY AND THAT IT WAS VERY ODD.

  FROM A STOPPED POSITION, MOVING FORWARD MY VEHICLE HESITATED AND DECREASED IN POWER AND THE GAS PEDAL DID NOT HELP MOVING THE VEHICLE FORWARD. THIS HAPPENED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE INTERSECTION FOR SEVERAL SECONDS 10-15 BEFORE THE VEHICLE STARTED MOVING FORWARD AGAIN. FROM A MOVING POSITION, I WAS GOING AROUND A RIGHT-HAND SLIGHT CURVE GOING APPROXIMATELY 45-50 MHP AND THE VEHICLE FAILED TO KEEP POWER, SPEED DECREASED, AND THEN BEGAN WORKING AGAIN AFTER SEVERAL SCARY SECONDS. THE MAIN PROBLEM I HAVE IS WHEN ACCELERATING, THE FUEL SEEMS LIKE IT IS NOT PROCESSED CORRECTLY TO ALLOW MY VEHICLE TO ACCELERATE. THIS IS A DANGEROUS MECHANICAL ISSUE THAT HAS HAPPENED MORE THAN TEN TIMES. I HAVE CONTACTED THE DEALERSHIP BUT THEY SAID MY VIN WAS NOT IN THE LISTING OF RECALLS. I AM CLEARLY HAVING THE SAME PROBLEMS AS MANY OTHER ACURA TLX OWNERS. ADDITIONALLY, WHEN I PUSH THE START BUTTON IT DID NOT START THE VEHICLE. THIS HAS HAPPENED 3 TIMES AS OF NOV 2019. MY VEHICLE SHOULD BE LISTED WITH THE RECALLED LISTING OF OTHER 2016 TLX ACURA VEHICLES.

  Tire size 225/55R17. - Sidewall separation on the inside portion of two tires (unable to identify from looking at tires on vehicle, this could go unnoticed by the driver). No tires were removed from Acura. I do have photos of this safety hazard. - Tires could have blown out while driving and a crash occurring injuring driver or other vehicles on the road. After seeing the tire separation they technicians advised not to drive car vehicle safety hazard. - Unknown if problem was able to be reproduced. - Tire was not inspected by any representative only Acura dealership technicians. - Yes, there were symptoms, when driving at low speeds under 20 mph a squeaky noise was heard, as speed increased the noise was more frequent.

  driving 65-70 MPH on highway the car would feel sluggish like it needs power then I can hear the engine roar louder then i get alerts on my dash that my brakes are not working my blind spot or lane keep assist or any safety features in my car is not activated working properly is what my car tells me i Almost lost my life twice those two times I almost got rear ended my semi truck on highway going 65+ on highway first time was March 1 2020 when i was driving from massachusetts to New York felt like my car was stalling I would try give it more gas but it felt real slow sluggish second time was recent October 2 2021 i was heading to casino in Connecticut on my way there dash says same problems as before this time the car wouldn’t allow me to go past 60 it kept me in 45-55 mph on the high I was scared because speed limit was 65 here comes semi truck lucky I was able to pull to side of the highway in time but I was so scared cause I know how fast that truck was coming my car shut off as soon as I got on the side of the road all I felt was my car shake from speed of the truck that literally passed me my car was off on side of highway was pitch black all I was hoping for was truck not hiting me because he was in the same lane as me but while I was quick in reacting I put on my hazard lights on before my car shut off when I pulled along side of the road I wanted to plan a trip for me & my girlfriend im scared to take my car because today on my home from work my car did it again coming home from work driving 70 mph 10/14/21 I don’t know what to do so scared feel like nobody wants to recall my car I keep hearing story’s online with people who got the same car as me & to no avail find the solution to their car geting repaired also I felt like dealership did something to my car transmission because i brought in my car for brakes Service during repair they called me state we messed up my transmission which was not related to why I brought it in for fix it under warranty

The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V751000 (Engine and Engine Cooling); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. Since the release of the recall, the contact made several attempts to have the recall repair performed and each time the contact was informed that parts were not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue and the contact was informed that the manufacturer was allocating parts to dealers and the contact was provided a case number. The contact stated that there appeared to be a parts distribution disconnect as the NHTSA website indicated that parts for the recall repair were available. The contact had not experienced a failure.

  This is in regard to Honda recall 23V-751 on my 2016 Acura TLX. Honda keeps sending letters to me in the mail yet when I have contacted the dealership in the past, they report parts are not available to address the recall. This situation has been going on for more than a year. The latest letter received from Honda was 10/2/2025. I called Honda's recall hotline. The person I spoke to wanted to pass the responsibility to the dealership. After insisting, the person I spoke to did create a Honda case number (15887835). I also contacted the NHTSA hotline and received case number (11690977). This complaint is to document the issue in case there are any problems with my car due to the lack of Honda's response to the recall.

  The following complaint is in relation to NHTSA Safety Recall 23V-751 and the Acura Corporation's unwillingness to recompense the registered owner for catastrophic damages that occurred to the engine. The vehicle in question is a 2016 Acura TLX, and the recall applied to the Acura MDX, Honda Pilot, Honda Odyssey and Honda Ridgeline. The manufacturing defect, which potentially involved 248,999 vehicles, was the connecting rod bearing of the crankshaft prematurely wearing and seizing. This is precisely what occurred to this TLX. The chronological events of this incident are quite revealing. On Jan 2023, midwinter, while driving on [XXX] near the Canadian border, the engine completely lost power, leaving the registered owner, XXX stranded on the interstate alone for 30 minutes. There were no warning lights, only a knocking sound originating from the engine. The vehicle was eventually towed to a nearby auto shop. The vehicle was not towed to an Acura or Honda dealership due to the extended distance, as XXX was employed at the US Port of Entry on the US/Canadian border, a remote location. The mechanics at the auto shop determined the entire engine needed to be replaced and repairs were completed on [XXX] and XXX paid $6,360.30 out of pocket. An effort to be compensated by Acura was denied. As of Nov 2023, Honda has 1450 claims. According 23V-751, Honda received its 1st complaint regarding this matter on Feb 2020 and investigated through Sept of 2023. Only until [XXX] did Honda decide to conduct a safety recall, well after the catastrophic failure of the aforementioned TLX which occurred on Jan 2023. And it was only until Jan 2024 that notification (24-002)of this defect was initiated. Again, Acura refuses to accept any responsibility or accountability for this incident, nor did it care to investigate the matter in its entirety, simply stating if the vehicle was not inspected by an Acura dealership (typical response), they are absolved of any wrongdoing.   AGAIN, WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 75 MPH ON INTERSTATE ALL ERROR CODES ON DASHBOARD (MIL) LIT UP AND THE CAR BEGAN TO FEEL AS IF THE TRANSMISSION WAS NOT ENGAGED AS IF I WAS IN NEUTRAL AND THE ENGINE BEGAN LOOSING POWER. THE SPEED BEGAN DECREASING, BUT THEN WOULD CATCH FOR A FEW SECONDS. THE GEAR INDICATED THAT IT WAS IN DRIVE. I PULLED OFF THE INTERSTATE & PARKED. I WAITED A FEW MINUTES & RESTARTED AND TRIED TO RE-ENGAGE IN DRIVE TO SEE IF IT RESET ITSELF AS IT HAS DONE IN THE PAST JUST 7 WEEKS PRIOR, HOWEVER IT JUST REVVED UP. I CALLED ROAD SIDE ASSISTANCE AND HAD IT TOWED TO NEAREST DEALER AN HOUR AWAY AS AGAIN THE MECHANICAL BREAK DOWN OCCURRED WHILE I WAS TRAVELING IN BETWEEN CITIES. THE NEXT MORNING, THE DEALER WAS ABLE TO RETRIEVE THE ERROR CODES AND SAID THAT THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED ANOTHER SOFTWARE UPDATE TO REPAIR THE ISSUE, THE COMPUTER WAS RESET . WHILE DRIVING HOME THE TRANSMISSION BECAME JUMPY AGAIN AROUND 3RD GEAR. I CONTACTED MY LOCAL DEALERSHIP AND MADE THEM AWARE OF MY SAFETY CONCERNS FOR THE CAR AS AGAIN, MY ENTIRE FAMILY (HUSBAND, KIDS AND DOGS) WERE IN THE CAR AND FELT AS IF THIS COULD HAVE RESULTED IN HORRIBLE ACCIDENT HAD I NOT SAFELY NAVIGATED OFF OF THE INTERSTATE WHILE AT SUCH A HIGH SPEED WITH HEAVY HOLIDAY TRAFFIC. THIS ERROR HAS DISPLAYED FOR TIMES AND EACH TIME THERE WAS A DIFFERENT SOLUTION TO THE PROBLEM BESIDES HAVING 2 TRANSMISSION UPDATES, BAD BATTERY CELL AND REPLACED PUSH BUTTON GEAR ASSEMBLY. I HAVE DOCUMENTED ALL INCIDENTS AND REPORTED TO DEALERSHIP AS WELL AS ACURA CORPORATE. I CURRENTLY HAVE APPOINTMENT FOR NEXT WEEK SO THAT THEIR SERVICE ADVISER CAN TRY AND REPLICATE THIS INTERMITTENT PROBLEM TO DETERMINE WHAT THE ERROR IS. I'VE MADE THEM AWARE THAT THIS IS A DANGEROUS MECHANICAL ISSUE THAT NOT ONLY PUTS ME AND MY PASSENGERS IN DANGER BUT POSSIBLY OTHER CARS, BUT WAS ASSURED I DO NOT NEED A RENTAL UNTIL IT CAN BE SEEN AGAIN.

  I was driving on the interstate and went to pass someone and gassed it. When I did that, my car wouldnt go. It was still on but when pressing the gas it wouldnt go. I am so lucky no one read ended me and I was able go coast off the side of the road.

  Transmission fails mid drive on freeway. Multiple vehicles had to avoid the possibility of horrific collision. Vehicle has lost engine power and will not exceed 60mph. I have. Check in with a Facebook Acura group and more the. 2,000 members had the same issue. All Acuras from 2016 to 2023 had failed transmissions at 10k miles to 45k miles.

  ON MY 2016 ACURA TLX I HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THE SEAT PLASTIC TRIM THAT BREAKS EVERY OTHER YEAR AND FOR MULTIPLE OTHER OWNERS IT HAPPENS EVERY 9 MONTHS. THIS IS A BIG PROBLEM WHEN YOU WANT TO ADJUST THE SEAT YOU CAN PUT YOUR FINGERS IN THE WHOLE AND CUT YOUR FINGERS. I AM OUTRAGED WHY NO RECALL IS DONE BY THIS POINT WHERE MULTIPLE OWNERS HAVE THIS PROBLEM STARTING 2015 UNTILL 2019 FROM WHAT I SEE ON MULTIPLE FORUMS AND I HAVE THE LINK TO ALL THOSE FORUMS IF NEEDED. I WENT TO ACURA DEALERSHIP AND THEY FIXED AT NO COST WHEN THE CAR WAS IN WARRANTY BUT NOW MY CAR IS NOT IN WARRANTY AND THEY DO NOT WANT TO FIX IT FOR LESS THAN $460. I AM NOT PAYING $460 FOR A FAKE PREMIUM CAR WHEN THIS IS NOT MY FAULT BUT A DESIGN FLAW BECAUSE THEY PLACED A METAL PIECE RIGHT UNDER THE PLASTIC TRIM. NEXT THING I KNOW THE STEERING WHEEL IS CROOKED AND ALMOST EVERY WARNING LIGHTS HAVE TURNED ON AND I STARTED GETTING ALL THE WARNING SOUNDS DESCRIBING MORE WARININGS THAN I COULD CHECK ON THE SECOND PAGE ON THIS INCIDENT REPORT. I BARELY BOUGHT MY ACURA A FEW MONTHS AGO SO I'M VERY SHOCKED BE HAVING SUCH A SCARY INCIDENT SO FAST. I THOUGHT ACURA'S WERE DEPENDABLE RELIABLE CARS THAT WOULD KEEP ME AND MORE IMPORTANTLY MY CHILDREN SAFE. I FELT SO SCARED FOR THE SAFETY OF MY CHILDREN. IT WAS EVEN MORE UPSETTING TO FIND THAT THIS SAME SITUATION ON THE SAME BRAND OF ACURA'S HAS HAPPENED BEFORE TO MORE THAN 1 PERSON ON YOUTUBE! WHAT IS ACURA WAITING FOR ON A RECALL. YOU WOULD THINK THEY WOULDN'T WANT ANY LAWSUITS WHEN SOMEONE GETS HURT. PLEASE HELP TURN THIS INTO A RECALL BEFORE LIVES ARE LOST. THANK YOU

  A warranty extension for 2015 Acura TLX was issued for vehicles painted B-588P Obsidian Blue Pearl or Fathom Blue Pearl. I have a 2016 Acura TLX with exact same paint and identical peeling issue. My car was assembled in 2015 but is a model year 2016. Acura refused to fix.

  The contact owns a 2016 Acura TLX. The contact stated while driving 25 MPH, several unknown warning lights illuminated, and the vehicle stalled. The contact pulled over to the side of the road and turned on the hazard lights. The contact was able to restart the vehicle and drove to the residence. An independent mechanic had diagnosed the vehicle at the residence and informed the contact that the high-pressure fuel pump (HPFP) had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 19V060000 (Fuel System, Other); however, the VIN was not included. The dealer and the manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 95,000.

  I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AND TURNING AND THEN ALL OF A SUDDEN THESE INDICATORS CAME ON WHICH WERE THE VSA, POWER STEERING, CHECK ENGINE LIGHT, AND THE BRAKE SYSTEM CAME ONE. ONCE THESE INDICATORS CAME ON THE CAR STARTED STALLING AND WOULDN'T GO PAST 2 RPM AND HAD LACK OF POWER. SO WE HAD TO AUTOMATICALLY STOP AND PULL OVER TO THE SIDE. COUPLE OF CARS WERE BEHIND US AS WELL AND WE COULD HAVE CRASHED. WE TOOK ABOUT A MONTH OR SO BEFORE WE TOOK IT IN TO FRESNO ACURA AND THEY SAID IT WAS THE FUEL PUMP THAT'S BROKEN.

The contact took the vehicle to the local dealer, and the contact was informed that the tire was punctured. Additionally, all four tires were dry-rotted and needed to be replaced.
