  • LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES:HOOD:LATCHCampaign 20V315000 · 28/05/2020

Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain model year 2013-2018 Nissan Altima vehicles. If the primary hood latch is inadvertently released, there is an increased likelihood that the secondary hood latch may corrode over time.

Risk: Corrosion to the secondary latch may cause it to bind and remain in the unlatched position when the hood is closed. If the primary latch is inadvertently released again and the secondary latch is not engaged, the hood could unexpectedly open while driving, increasing the risk of a vehicle crash.

Fix: Nissan will notify owners, and dealers will install a stronger release spring in the hood release lever, a warning label near the secondary hood latch, and an Owner’s Manual addendum card with instructions on how to lubricate and maintain the secondary hood latch mechanism, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed June 30, 2021. Owners may contact Nissan customer service at 1-800-867-7669. Note: Recall 16V-029 remains open for any unremedied 2013-2015 Altimas and this recall applies to all vehicles covered by 16V-029 even if those repairs have already been performed.

  • LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES:HOOD:LATCHCampaign 15V116000 · 27/02/2015

Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain model year 2013-2015 Nissan Altima vehicles manufactured March 1, 2013, to December 31, 2014. In the affected vehicles, the secondary hood latch may bind and remain in the unlatched position when the hood is closed.

Risk: If the primary latch is inadvertently released and the secondary latch is not engaged, the hood could unexpectedly open while driving, increasing the risk of a vehicle crash.

Fix: Nissan will notify owners, and dealers will be instructed to modify the bend angle of the hood actuation lever to eliminate potential interference with the hood inner panel. In addition, dealers will clean and lubricate the latch joint as needed. If significant corrosion is observed, the latch assembly will be replaced. This repairs will be performed free of charge. The recall began March 31, 2015. Owners may contact Nissan customer service at 1-800-647-7261. Note: This recall is an expansion of recall 14V-565.

  • AIR BAGS:SENSOR:OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATIONCampaign 16V244000 · 26/04/2016

Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain model year 2016-2017 Nissan Maxima, 2013-2016 Nissan Altima, NV200, LEAF, Sentra, and Pathfinder, 2014-2016 Nissan NV200 Taxi, Infiniti QX60, QX60 Hybrid, and Q50 Hybrid, 2014-2017 Nissan Rogue and Infiniti Q50, 2015-2016 Nissan Murano, Murano Hybrid, and Chevrolet City Express, 2014-2015 Nissan Pathfinder Hybrid, and 2013 Infiniti JX35 vehicles. In these vehicles, the front seat passenger Occupant Classification System (OCS) may incorrectly classify an adult passenger as a child or classify the seat as empty despite it being occupied. As a result, the passenger frontal air bag may be turned off and not deploy in the event of a crash.

Risk: If the passenger frontal air bag does not deploy as intended in the event of a crash, the passenger is at an increased risk of injury.

Fix: Nissan will notify their owners. Chevrolet City Express owners will be notified by General Motors. Dealers will reprogram the Air Bag Control Unit (ACU) and OCS Electronic Control Unit (ECU) in Altima, Maxima, Murano, Rogue, and Sentra vehicles, and replace the OCS ECU in LEAF, NV200, NV200 Taxi, Pathfinder, Infiniti Q50, JX35, and QX60 and Chevrolet City Express vehicles, free of charge. Interim notices were sent to owners on May 31, 2016. Owners will receive a second notice when remedy parts become available. Owners may contact Nissan customer service at 1-800-867-7669, Infiniti customer service at 1-888-833-3216 or Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020.

  • ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARECampaign 14V138000 · 25/03/2014

Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain model year 2013-2014 Altima, LEAF, Pathfinder, and Sentra, model year 2013 NV200 (aka Taxi) and Infiniti JX35 and model year 2014 Infiniti Q50 and QX60 vehicles. In the affected vehicles, the occupant classification system (OCS) software may incorrectly classify the passenger seat as empty, when it is occupied by an adult.

Risk: If the OCS does not detect an adult occupant in the passenger seat, the passenger airbag would be deactivated. Failure of the passenger airbag to deploy during a crash (where deployment is warranted) could increase the risk of injury to the passenger.

Fix: Nissan will notify owners, and dealers will update the OCS software, free of charge. The recall began on April 14, 2014. Owners may contact Nissan at 1-800-647-7261.

  • LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES:HOOD:LATCHCampaign 16V029000 · 22/01/2016

Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain model year 2013-2015 Nissan Altima vehicles manufactured March 6, 2012, to December 31, 2014. In the affected vehicles, the secondary hood latch may bind and remain in the unlatched position when the hood is closed.

Risk: If the primary latch is inadvertently released and the secondary latch is not engaged, the hood could unexpectedly open while driving, increasing the risk of a vehicle crash.

Fix: These vehicles were previously included in recalls 14V-565 and 15V-116, however the previous remedy plan may not have been performed consistently to remove the safety risk. To correct this issue, Nissan will re-notify all affected owners and dealers will replace the hood latch with a new one, free of charge. The recall began on February 17, 2016. Owners may contact Nissan customer service at 1-800-647-7261. Note: This recall supersedes recalls 14V-565 and 15V-116.

  • AIR BAGS:FRONTALCampaign 15V681000 · 20/10/2015

Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain model year 2013-2015 Altima and Pathfinder vehicles, 2013-2014 Nissan Sentra vehicles, 2013 Infiniti JX35 vehicles, 2014-2015 Infiniti QX60 vehicles and 2014 Infiniti QX60 Hybrid vehicles. The affected vehicles received an incorrect occupant classification system (OCS) control unit during a repair. These OCS control units may incorrectly classify the front passenger seat as empty, when it is occupied by an adult.

Risk: If the OCS does not detect an adult occupant in the passenger seat, the passenger air bag would be deactivated. Failure of the passenger airbag to deploy during a crash (where deployment is warranted) could increase the risk of injury to the passenger.

Fix: Nissan will notify owners, and dealers will update the OCS software, free of charge. The recall began on November 30, 2015. Owners may contact Nissan at 1-800-647-7261.

  • AIR BAGS:SENSOR:OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATIONCampaign 16V911000 · 19/12/2016

An incorrect Occupant Classification System (OCS) Electronic Control Unit (ECU) may have been installed in the front passenger seat. The incorrect ECU and seat combination may misclassify the front passenger seat occupant.

Risk: If the front passenger seat occupant is misclassified, the air bag may deploy incorrectly in the event of a crash, increasing the risk of injury.

Fix: Nissan will notify owners, and dealers will replace the ECU and update the OCS software free of charge. The recall began February 13, 2017. Owners may contact Nissan customer service at 1-800-647-7261.

  • FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINECampaign 15V486000 · 04/08/2015

Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) notified the agency on July 31, 2015, that they are recalling certain model year 2016 Nissan Maxima vehicles manufactured February 10, 2015, to August 18, 2015. On October 14, 2015, Nissan expanded the recall to cover an additional 41,388 vehicles, including certain model year 2013-2015 Altima 3.5 vehicles equipped with a V6 engine manufactured March 30, 2012, to August 18, 2015 as well as the vehicles covered by the July 31, 2015 notification. In the affected vehicles, due to an improperly installed o-ring that may not have been seated correctly at the time of assembly, fuel may leak during a crash from the area where the fuel sending unit attaches to the fuel tank.

Risk: If fuel leaks from between the fuel sending unit and the tank, it may increase the risk of a fire in the event of a crash.

Fix: Nissan will notify owners, and dealers will install a retainer ring between the fuel tank and the fuel sending unit. The recall began on September 28, 2015. Owners may contact Nissan customer service at 1-800-647-7261.

VEHICLE IS DRIVEN SEVERAL MILES SO THE ENGINE IS WARM. THREE TIMES THE CAR HAS STALLED WHEN STOPPING AT A LIGHT OR SLOWING AT AN INTERSECTION TO MAKE A LEFT TURN OR RIGHT TURN. WHEN MOVING FROM THE WAITING POSITION THE CAR WILL STALL AND AS AN ONCOMING CAR IS COMING POSES A LEFT THREATNING SITUATION AS IT WILL NOT MOVE FORWARD IMMEDIATELY. CAR HAS BEEN TAKEN TO NISSAN DEALERSHIP 2 TIMES AND BOTH TIMES NOTHING SHOWS ON THE COMPUTER. ALSO, THE CAR WAS DRIVEN THE LAST TIME AND THE STALL IS NOT REPLICATED. BECAUSE THE PROBLEM IS NOT REPLICATED NISAAN REFUSES TO ADMIT THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THE CAR ALTHOUGH A LIFE IS IN JEPORDY DUE TO THE DANGER OF MAKING A LEFT HAD TURN IN FRONT OF TRAFFICE WHEN THERE IS AMPLE TIME TO MAKE THE TURN. I HAVE SPOKEN TO THE NATIONAL OFFICE AND THEY REFUSE TO DO ANYTHING SINCE THE COMPUTER SAYS THE CAR IS NOT BROKEN. *JS

I was driving on the freeway and my hood popped up and smashed my roof and everything inside the ceiling onto my lap. The lighting and visor broken. Roof and hood damaged. The contact owns a 2014 Nissan Altima. The contact stated while driving 38 MPH, the traction control warning light illuminated, and the rear suspension lowered abruptly. The contact stated that the passenger’s side rear lower control arm had snapped from excessive corrosion. The contact was able to drive to her residence at a reduced speed. An independent mechanic diagnosed that the rear passenger’s side lower control arm needed to be replaced. The contact was informed that the vehicle was not safe to drive until the repair was performed. The vehicle was not repaired. The dealer was contacted and informed the contact that the vehicle was not under recall. The manufacturer was contacted and advised as the dealer. The failure mileage was 110,000. Sat 12/3/2022 ~2:15PM Hood latch failure resulting in the hood flying open while driving. (See NHTSA Recall 20V-315). *********************************** History: Thu 12/1/2022: Same Nissan service center (Delaney Nissan State College PA) that performed the hood latch recall repair did some additional work/maintenance on the vehicle that would have had them opening the hood. July 2021: Delaney Nissan State College PA performed the hood latch recall (Nissan # R21A6) *********************************** Driving hi-way speeds (55-60 mph) on Sat 12/3, the hood flew open, slamming back to the windshield, including damaging the roof. My wife was in the passenger seat and my adult daughter was in the backseat. No injuries, no damage to anything other than the car I was driving. Note: Neither my wife nor I noticed any hood vibration while driving, which might indicate that the hood was not seated fully/correctly. Car was taken to Delaney Nissan's extension body shop (Delaney Collision Center State College PA). The Collision Center did two things: 1: Inspect the hood latch mechanism for failure 2: Assess / estimate the damage. Wed 12/14, the Collosion center said 1: it "was not a faulty latch". They used a screw driver to verify the primary latch although they did say the secondary latch was in need of maintenance, needing lubrication and showed signs of corrosion. 2: $8,068.48 damage Note: I do have photos, that I will have to dig out and upload if you need them.

  • 12/27/2016· POWER TRAIN

HAVING ISSUES WITH THE CVT TRANSMISSION IN MY 2014 ALTIMA, THE SYMPTOMS ARE WHILE SITTING AT A STOP AND ENGINE IDLING AT A NORMAL RPM IN DRIVE THE CAR WILL AT RANDOM BEGIN TO LURCH FORWARD RPMS WILL FLUCTUATE AND AT TIMES ENGINE WILL DIE. AFTER THE ENGINE DIES AT TIMES RESTART IS DIFFICULT AND MAY TAKE TWO OF THREE ATTEMPTS BEFORE THE CAR (ENGINE/TRANSMISSION) WILL FUNCTION PROPERLY. I HAVE TAKEN IT TO THE DEALERSHIP HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT THEY CANNOT REPRODUCE THE ISSUE AND THEREFORE (THIS IS MY OPINION) THERE IS NO PROBLEM. WITH ONLY 10,000 MILES LEFT ON MY POWERTRAIN WARRANTY, I FEEL THAT NISSAN HAS PUT ME BETWEEN A ROCK AND A HARD PLACE, IT GOES WITHOUT SAYING THAT THIS IS MY FIRST AND LAST NISSAN. *TR

  • 12/26/2024· UNKNOWN OR OTHER

The left rear arm snapped completely and is now dangling along with the spring link and other parts connected to it. The car is not drivable and I have to have a on-site mechanic come out to fix it. I had been driving the car on the highway the day it happened and luckily made it back to my house, then about 20 minutes later I had to go back out but when I put the car into reverse and started backing down the driveway a loud snap followed by scraping metal occurred. Now the car is stationary on the curb. The right rear arm's condition is also bad, showing signs of snapping in the near future as well. My mechanic along with research I've conducted has informed me that this is an extremely common problem with nissan sedans that happen frequently. I had insurance on this exact part of the car but it unfortunately expired May of this year. I filed a claim with Nissan directly and they proved to serve no help. If the rear arm had snapped just a little bit earlier in the day when I was on the highway it would have most likely resulted in major accident that would have left me injured.

I JUST RECENTLY TOOK IT BACK AGAIN WITH THE SAME ISSUE THE CAR HAD NO POWER WHEN TRYING TO EXCEL ONTO THE HIGHWAY ,AND WAS VERY HESITANT AND UNSAFE. THE TRANSMISSION HAD TO BE COMPLETELY REPLACED! THE VEHICLE ONLY HAS 43,000 MILES ON IT ,WHICH LEAVES ME VERY CONCERNED, AND WITH MY WARRANTY ALMOST UP. I AM VERY CONCERNED AS I SEE THIS IS AN OBVIOUS PROBLEM WITH THIS VEHICLE, THAT I CONSIDER STILL NEW.

THE PROJECTORS IN THE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLIES HAVE FAILED AFTER A COUPLE YEARS. THE LOW BEAMS ARE SO DIM THAT WE CAN BARELY SEE AT NIGHT TIME. WE HAVE REPLACED THE BULBS WITH NUMEROUS DIFFERENT BULBS AND THE BULBS ARE NOT THE PROBLEM, IT IS THE PROJECTORS IN THE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLIES. AS CAN BE FOUND ONLINE, THIS IS SOMETHING THAT IS HAPPENING A LOT WITH THE 5TH GENERATION ALTIMA. A RECALL NEEDS TO BE ISSUED AS THIS IS VERY CLEARLY A SAFETY RELATED PROBLEM IF YOU CANNOT SEE AT NIGHT. THIS IS A MANUFACTURING AND DESIGN FLAW.

THE CAR COULD SHUT DOWN AND CAUSE ACCIDENT AND WE WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO PROVE THAT THE ENGINE TURNED OFF. PLEASE HELP, THIS IS DANGEROUS.

BOTH OF MY HEADLAMPS ARE DEFECTIVE AND NISSAN HAS RECOGNIZED THIS AS A MANUFACTURE'S DEFECT BUT HAS REFUSED TO ISSUE A RECALL. THEY ARE ONLY COVERING THE PARTS AND NOT LABOR. BY ACCEPTING TO PAY PART IS AN ADMISSION OF GUILT ON NISSAN'S PART. THE NISSAN DEALER'S MECHANIC (CORAL SPRINGS NISSAN 954-753-1700)HAS ADMITTED THIS IS A COMMON ISSUE IN THESE TYPE OF VEHICLES. IT IS VERY DIFFICULT TO SEE AT NIGHTS WITH THE HEADLAMPS AND CAN CAUSE A VEHICULAR ACCIDENT. AN INTERNET SEARCH WILL ALSO CONFIRM THIS IS A COMMON ISSUE. ENGINE SHOULD'VE SHUT OFF OR GIVE WARNING SIGN THAT OIL FROM THE OIL FILLER CAME OUT ANDSPLATTERED ALL OVER ENGINE CAUSING A ENGINE FIRE WHICH COULD'VE INJURED OR KILLED SOMEONE THIS HAPPENED BECAUSE SOMEONE MUST'VE LEFT THE OIL FILLER CAP OFF OR DIDN'T TIGHTEN CAP,ALL MECHANICS TOLD ME THE CAR SHOULD'VE SHUT OFF OR WARNING LIGHT SHOULD'VE CAME ON. ALSO THE LOCATION OF OIL FILLER IS IN A BAD SPOT IT'S ON THE MIDDLE OF THE ENGINE WITH LOTS OF PLASTIC COVERS OVER ENGINE,MOST ENGINES THE OIL FILLER IS ON SIDE OF ENGINE SO OIL DOESN'T SPILL ON TOP OF ENGINE .THE ENGINE IS A 2.5 LITER ENGINE .THE ENGINE RUNS VERY HOT AND WITH ALL THE PLASTIC PARTS AND ANY OIL SPILLING IT CAN EASILY CATCH FIRE .I THINK NISSAN SHOULD INSTALL A OIL FILLER CAP SENSOR TO AVOID POTENTIAL ENGINE FIRES.CAR IS BEING REPAIRED NOW FROM INSURANCE CLAIM BUT NISSAN REFUSED TO REIMBURSE ANY FINCANCIAL OFFER OR A REPLACEMENT CAR,SINCE I BROUGHT THE CAR BRAND NEW 6 MONTHS AGO .I THINK SOMEONE SHOULD INVESTIGATE THIS,A SIMPLE FIX LIKE A OIL CAP SENSOR COULD PREVENT FIRES AND SAVE LIVES

when driving on a highway the rear upper suspension control arm broke, left side causing the tire to wobble. The car was undrivable. A tow truck was called. The repair shop had to replace both the right and left control arms. They told me that this is a common problem with nissan altima 2014. Why has not nissan had a recall on this issue?

DISCOVERED THE INADEQUATELY POOR LOW-BEAM ILLUMINATION LEVEL IN 2017 WHEN I HAD TO REPLACE THE DRIVERS-SIDE HEADLAMP. NOTICED THE BEAM DID NOT LIGHT UP ON MY SHIRT WHEN STANDING IN FRONT OF THE CAR. THE PASSENGER SIDE LAMP DID. NOT GREATLY, BUT THERE WAS A BEAM ON MY SHIRT. REPLACED THE LOW-BEAM LAMP AGAIN AND DID BOTH SIDES AND THE PROBLEM WITH POOR ILLUMINATION CONTINUED ON THE DRIVERS SIDE. AT THIS POINT MY 2014 MODEL WAS OUT OF WARRANTY AND I HAD STARTED USING MY HIGH-BEAM LIGHTS AT NIGHT AND LIVED WITH IT. THEN DISCOVERED MY CAR WAS NOT THE ONLY ONE AND DECIDED TO SUBMIT THIS NHTSA COMPLAINT.

The hood latch recall was done June 2022, but it became malfunction 1 year after recall was done. When driving, the hood flies up and almost hit the windshield. Luckily I didn't drive on the highway. Called the dealer and said it was out of the warranty which is 1 year or 10000 miles after the recall. Why this important parts have so short warranty. The hood can't be open when I closed it after the incident . And the dealer said it will cost $500 to open and fix them.

IT STARTED ON 12/13/20 AND HAS CONTINUED THROUGHOUT 12/14/20. THE LIGHT STAYS ON REGARDLESS OF WHAT POSITION IT'S IN. PARKED, TURNING, DRIVING, ETC.

I PURCHASED A USED 2014 NISSAN ALTIMA WITH 58,000 MILES. IT DROVE GREAT DURING TEST DRIVING AND ON MY WAY HOME WHICH IS 1 HOUR AWAY FROM WHERE I LIVE. BY DAY 2 THE CAR BEGAN JERKING AROUND 60 MI PER HR. AND UNDER. I MADE AN APPOINTMENT TO HAVE IT LOOKED AT MY LOCAL NISSAN DEALERSHIP. BY DAY 4 ON THE WAY TO THE DEALERSHIP THE RPM WOULD JUMP UP TO 4 AND THE CAR MADE A WINDING NOISE. IT WOULD ADVANCE FORWARD QUICKLY AND THEN STALL. ALL OF THIS WHILE DRIVING ON A MAJOR HIGHWAY. I CAME TO A PLACE WHERE I COULD PULL OVER WAITED A FEW MINUTES AND THEN TRIED TO PULL OFF THE CAR WOULD NOT GO ANYWHERE. I FINALLY HAD TO HAVE IT TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP. NISSAN HAS YET TO KNOW WHAT THE PROBLEM IS, SAYING IT HAS AN "UNSPECIFIED CODE". IT'S BEEN 3 DAYS. I KNOW THERE HAD BEEN A RECALL ON THE CVT TRANSMISSION HOWEVER I DON'T SEE MY VEHICLE VIN ON THE LIST.

ABOUT THREE YEARS INTO OWNING MY BRAND NEW 2014 NISSAN ALTIMA I BEGAN TO REALIZE HOW INCREDIBLY DARK THE ROADS WERE BECOMING WHEN I WOULD DRIVE AT NIGHT IN FRONT OF ME. I THOUGHT AT FIRST I NEEDED NEW PRESCRIPTION GLASSES BUT WHEN I BEGIN NEEDING TO USE MY BRIGHTS FOR REGULAR NIGHTTIME DRIVING IN THE CITY I KNEW THERE WAS A PROBLEM. THEN, BOTH MY BROTHER AND FATHER ON SEPARATE OCCASIONS POINTED OUT HOW DANGEROUSLY DIM MY HEADLIGHTS WERE. AFTER THAT, I KNEW IT WAS NOT JUST MY EYES SEEING DARKLY. I BEGIN TO DO RESEARCH ON THIS ISSUE AND FOUND OUT THE HEADLIGHT BARREL UNIT CORRODES AFTER JUST A FEW YEARS OF OWNERSHIP IN THE NISSAN 2013 TO 2015 MODELS. I HAVE TRIED CHANGING THE HEADLIGHTS AND FOUND THIS TO BE USELESS, PROVING THE POINT OF OTHER OWNERS. IT IS INCREDIBLY DISAPPOINTING THAT IT IS INCREDIBLY DISAPPOINTING THAT SUCH INTEGRAL SAFETY/VISION FACETS OF MY CAR ARE USELESS. I FEEL COMPLETELY UNCOMFORTABLE DRIVING AT NIGHT AND I HAVE NORMALLY VERY GREAT VISION. IF MY CAR CAN'T SHINE LIGHTS IN FRONT OF ME, THAT IS A HUGE CONCERN, AND THIS ISSUE WITHIN THE ALTIMA MODELS CAN GET SOMEONE KILLED.

THIS IS THE SECOND TRANSMISSION ISSUE I'VE HAD IN LESS THAN A YEAR. THE CAR BEGAN SHAKING IN FEBRUARY AND STOPPED ON ME WHILE AT A STOP LIGHT. THERE HAVE BEEN NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHTS OR ANYTHING TO ALERT ME OF AN ISSUE. NOW THE CAR WILL HESITATE SEVERLY BEFORE SHIFTING GEARS. IF I TAKE THE CARE OUT OF PARK INTO DRIVE OR REVERSE, IT TAKES UPWARDS OF 30 SECONDS FOR THE CAR TO ENGAGE INTO THAT GEAR. I HAVE BEEN STRANDED AT HOME AND AT GROCERY STORES DUE TO THE FAULTY TRANSMISSION WHICH I'M NOW BEING TOLD NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. I HAVE HAD TO ENDURE RANDOM MOMENTS OF SHAKING AND EVEN FEELING AS IF THE CAR HAS DIED WHILE DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY. THERE HAVE BEEN NO INDICATOR LIGHTS REGARDING ANY ISSUES WITH THE CAR THE CAR IS LESS THAN 5YRS OLD AND IS A LITTLE OVER 100K MILES I HAVE BEEN HAVING TRANSMISSION ISSUES NOW FOR ABOUT ALMOST A YEAR.

AT 53,000 MILES THE TRANSMISSION WOULD NO LONGER FUNCTION.TRANSMISSION HAD TO BE REPLACED.AT ABOUT 130,000 MILES I NOTICE THAT WHEN HEADLIGHTS WERE ON LOW BEAM YOU COULD BARELY SEE THE ROAD AT NIGHT TIME.SO I DID SOME RESEARCH ON THI VEHICLE WHAT I FOUND OUT WAS ON NISSAN ALTIMAS MANUFACTURED BETWEEN 2013 -2015 HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM.YOU DO NOT HAVE SUFFICIENT LIGHTING ON LOW BEAM.YOU HAVE TO USE HIGH BEAM ON DARK ROADS.THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE WITH THESE VEHICLES.I HAVE HAD THE NISSAN DEALERSHIP IN MY LOCAL AREA NEW PORT RICHEY PUT IN THE EXACT BULBS CAR CAME WITH FROM FACTORY SAME ISSUE POOR LIGHTING ON LOW BEAM.I THEN HAD NISSAN DEALERSHIP PUT IN BULBS THAT I PURCHASED ON LINE THESE BULBS PUT OUT 8000 LUMENS AND THESE BULBS ARE LED BULBS.THE FACTORY NISSAN BULBS PUT OUT 1200 LUMENS AND ARE HALOGEN BULBS.BOTH SETS OF BULBS I GOT SAME RESULT INSUFFIECIENT LIGHTING ON LOW BEAM.THE NISSAN TECHNICIAN TOLD ME I WOULD HAVE TO REPLACE BOTH HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLIES AT A COST OF $700.00.I FEEL THESE HEADLIGHT LENS WERE A MANUFACTURING DEFECT WITHOUT QUESTION THEREFORE I FEEL NISSAN SHOULD BE HELD LIABLE FOR REPLACING THE DEFECTIVE PARTS.I HAVE RECEIPTS FROM DEALERSHIP FOR WORK PERFORMED.I HAVE ALSO FILED A COMPLAINT WITH THE BBB AUTOLINE DEPT, AND FILED A COMPAINT WITH NISSAN CONSUMER AFFAIRS.THIS IS A VERY HAZARDOUS SITUATION AND GOD FORBID SOMEONE WILL LOSE THEIR LIFE OVER SOMETHING LIKE THIS.
